I couldn’t believe the way everything was crashing and burning. How could she be an alpha, a princess, and his mate? It just wasn’t fair, and now I am in this cell they have kept me chained to the wall with silver chains. They didn’t go easy on me either, they stripped us all and the guards came in regularly to tighten our chains. I had no idea where my parents and the others were, there were no windows, and the walls were stone-lined with silver. I heard the door and thought it was time for the wolfsbane sedative, but someone was taking off my chains I was out of it, but I felt someone carrying me.
I woke up to my mother’s voice calling my name.
“Mom let me sleep another hour I don’t want to go to school.”
I felt a sharp slap.
“Get up Becca remember what happened!”
My eyes go wide as I sit up quickly, I see my parents, the alpha and his Luna, and a man and a woman I have never seen before.
“What is going on who are these people?”
I pause confused.
“Wait how are we out.”
My mom sighs.
“You were always clueless Becca. They freed us from the castle dungeon.”
“Not for free or kindness so tell us what you wanted.”
Alpha Robert grunted. The other man chuckled.
“No not for free. Nothing is free. I am Dravos Romario, and this is Luna Rita.”
The King’s brother and the King’s chosen mate.
“And what do you want with us?”
My dad asks.
“You know my beautiful niece.”
“Yes, we know that bitch.”
“She’s what we want in exchange for your freedom.”
Said Luna Rita
“What do you want with her.”
She laughed.
“To kill her.”
That perked me up.
“Well, there’s a change of plans, killing her is no longer viable.”
Dravos said and Rita glared at him.
“What do you mean?”
“I’ve decided that I’m going to make her my bride.”
“HOW could YOU? You promised to marry me!”
“It makes the most sense she is beyond powerful.”
“And what about me?”
“You can remain in the castle; you can be a consort if you like.”
Watching them fight made me feel like I was watching older versions of me arguing with Tristan over the very same girl.
“ENOUGH!”
Alpha Robert roared rubbing his temples.
“This damned girl is the bane of my existence. I am tired of hearing about her.”
“She already has two mates.”
Luna Rose informed them.
“My son and some Omega.”
“It’s of no consequence she will be mine regardless.”
“If we help you, I want Tristan and I want our old pack back and our plans to go as we intended.”
“If you can get her into my hands, you can have what you want.”
My father jumped in clearly not on board with committing more treason.
“You can’t just go against the King and the Blue Lotus coven.”
“Why not?”
“Because it is well known you have failed many times in your attempts to usurp your brother’s throne.
He waved it off.
“We have some new players in place now, this will happen we just need to get close enough.”
New players? I was interested but I was also wondering what Tristan was doing. I have loved him since we were kids and even though we finally became a couple he only touched me a handful of times over the year and a half I had him and only after I drugged him and the whole time he moaned her name but my body and heart craved him I wanted my name on his lips. I had decided in that moment I needed to visit, a dark sorceress to finally make him mine.
“I’ll do whatever it takes to get you what you want so I can get what I deserve.”
Dravos smiled. I deserved Tristan, his heart and soul. Tristan was MINE!
