I had met this blood witch by chance years ago and she gave me the potion to make Jaxton mine back when we were sixteen in exchange for a favor in the future. Becca and I had to hop through so many hoops to find her again, a lot of bargaining and bartering but we were desperate and willing to do anything. Trekking through sand dunes to find her, the amount of scorpions and snakes was unnerving. Finally finding her hunched over some animal carcasses.
“Genisis?”
She had the most angelic face for a blood witch so deceiving, but her eyes were cold, hard, and unforgiving.
“Desperate Tina back again?”
I resisted rolling my eyes.
“I’m Becca.”
“Another pathetic woman. What do you want?”
“HEY!”
I elbow Becca signaling for her to be quiet this witch could kill us, and no one would ever know.
“The boy you made me the potion for twelve years ago well he found his mate and I want him back I want to make him my mate.”
She scoffs.
“I told you it was temporary I warned you this would happen.”
“I remember but I thought I could get him to mark me before he found her, but he wouldn’t do it no matter what I did.”
“My spells and magic can’t match or counter the Moon Goddess.”
“So, you can’t break their bonds?”
Becca asks.
“No, I can’t, I can make them look at others temporarily, but it will fizzle out eventually.”
“So, all we have to do is either kill her during that time or get them to mark and impregnate us?”
“Even if they do mark you and get you pregnant the mate call will pull them back to her no matter. It will be temporary you would have to keep repeating the ritual but eventually the hold will weaken the more you do it.”
Becca and I looked at each other, both silently agreeing that it did not matter as long as we could have them just a little longer.
“Can you strengthen the lust as well?”
Asks Becca.
“I want Tristan to be beg to be inside of me.”
“All of this is going to cost you.”

I could not stop imagining Tristan on his knees begging to fuck me like I watched him do hundreds of times throughout the years with Khione. It made me burn with jealousy and rage that she was denying him because his father made him date me, yet I laid in his bed naked touching myself and he told me to get out. Or the times I snuck into his room to suck his dick, and he would moan her name and the moment he saw it was me he would go soft. The fact that I had to drug him or get him drunk just to rub up against me was humiliating and infuriating. I was so lost in my thoughts I tuned out of the conversation until I heard Tina cry out “NO THERE MUST BE ANOTHER WAY!”
“There isn’t that is my price.”
“Wait, what is going on what did I miss?”
Tina gave me an incredulous look.
“Her price for her help is our babies each of us have to give her a baby to sacrifice.”
“Well, if it gives me Tristan, I will go snatch some sad hag of a mom kid and bring it back.”
The woman looked at me her cold stare making me feel like a hand was crawling up my body around my neck and choking me.
“No, it has to be a baby we have carried she said our babies.”
I paused for a moment, could I, do it? Could I let a baby Tristan, and I made be killed I shook my head he would never give up trying to figure out what happened to his child.
“Neither Tristan nor Jaxton are the type of men to let go of their children they would try to figure out what happened no matter what scenario we try to create.”
Tina nodded in agreement.
“What if we let some nobodies, some randoms knock us up. Supe pregnancies do not last as long as humans we could get knocked up have the things give them to her and have our men before the new year ends.”
Tina stiffens staring at the ground.
“You said that so casually and so callously, it doesn’t hurt you a little to do that to your own child.”
I pause and really think about it.
“Yeah, it would hurt I know it would hurt especially if it was Tristan’s baby. But my heart cannot stand the idea of not having him. I think that pain would be greater being without him.”
She nods again. I turn to the witch.
“What else do you need from us?”
“Something that connects to the men.”
Sounds simple enough if we could get close. I grabbed Tina’s hand.
“We can make this work we can do this. To finally have our men and be happy. We deserve it.”
“Alright we agree to your terms.”
“Also, dragon girl you still owe me a favor and now it is two and you wolf bitch you will owe me as well.”
I honestly hated this woman already but we both nod and give a drop of blood on a contract before walking away from her.
“I can’t believe we just did that!”
I was giddy and dizzy at the thought of finally having him.
“I can’t believe I have to sacrifice my child for the man I love.”
“Women have been doing it since the beginning of time. We are no different.”
“But…But she didn’t say how they will be sacrificed their souls, or their blood, or slaves what will become of them, or do we not want to know?”
I shuttered at the various gruesome images that plagued my mind but then pushed them deep down into the darkness of the places I never revisited.
“We just cannot think about it. After we get really pregnant it will be as if that first baby was not real, imagine a little dragon baby that looks just like Jaxton, the two of you happy hand in hand because those are the kind of images that keep me going. Keep me running towards my Trissy poo. And I will never let them go. He is mine forever.”
“And Jaxton is mine forever.”
We both lock eyes making another silent vow. There was no turning back now we were in this together and we would do whatever it took to be with the men we love no matter who had to be sacrificed.
