Soft Velvety Bed

**ISLA**
After a couple of minutes of savoring the moment with the harmonious music, we stopped dancing and gets back to our seats, and enjoy our glass of champagne. Until Zero asked me if it was fine to me if we spend the night in the hotel upstairs of the restaurant.
I was hesitant because of my what-ifs. What if Apollo suddenly wants to visit me or what. However, Zero told me that it was fine. Apollo will never do that since he’s busy plus the fact it’s already past eight.
In the end, I agreed to spend the night with him. Zero booked a room on the third floor of the building. I can’t help to feel an awkwardness between us.
“What’s with the silence?” Zero suddenly asked which makes me shake my head. “Do you want to take a dip in the sea?” he continued.
I bit my lower lip as I sat on the soft velvety bed. “I didn’t bring any swim—”
“We can buy in the souvenir shop next to this building,” he uttered. “I don’t bring one too,” he added.
I just nodded. I want to see the sea at the same time, the softy bed calling me. I lay my back on it as I stared at the ceiling. I heaved a deep sigh.
“What’s with the sigh?” Zero asked as he sat beside me and met my eyes.
I pressed my lips and shook my head. “Nothing. It’s just that…” I paused and looked back to the ceiling.
“What?”
“This is my first time to be with a man inside a hotel—” I didn’t finish my words when I heard him chuckle which makes me turn to him, frowning.
“Sorry,” he uttered when our eyes met, “I just find you cute while saying—”
“Zero, I am beautiful, okay? Beautiful, alluring, and all the synonyms of it, get it?” I uttered, trying to hide the embarrassment that I felt about being with him inside the hotel for the first time.
Zero formed a sly smirk on his lips. “I like the way how you pronounce my name,” he asserted and suddenly reached for my hand and pulled me closer to him. damn, he’s too strong, and his grip left a tiny sore on my delicate skin.
“A-huh?” I can only utter as he let the back of my head, rest in his lap. I looked up and met his eyes. I gulped when my eyes glanced at his natural pinkish-red lips.
“I don’t think you want to get a dip. It seems like you wanted to sleep or just have some rest in this comfy bed,” he uttered. And he was right. Damn, suddenly, I just want to lay my back on the bed and take a nap.
I don’t know but I just want to rest.
Having sex with him in this private place didn’t even cross my mind, not until I saw his tempting lips.
Oh, Isla, what a pervert you are, I thought.
“Care to share what’s on your mind?” he uttered, still his eyes into mine.
“Zero…” I called his name, but damn, I sound like I am seducing him. I pressed my lips together and bit it after—it’s my mannerism.
“Hmm…”
“Kiss me.”
Zero arched his brow when he heard it which makes me feel a little embarrassed. Curse you, Isla, I thought.
I bit my lower lip and gets up. I was about to stand up when he held my hand, pulled me, and let me sit on his lap. He encircled his arms around my waist and met my eyes. “Why does the baby demand a kiss?” he teased.
All I ever wished at that moment was to vanish. Damn, this is embarrassing! I pouted my lips and looked away but I just felt Zero’s hand on my jaw, and make me meet his eyes.
“You’re cute when you’re getting embarrassed,” he teased which makes me frown. I glared at him.
“Really?” I asked, sounding sarcastic.
Zero let out a soft chuckle and pinched my cheeks, gently. Yes, in his every move and word—the way he speaks, it shouted: gentleness.
Why, oh, why?
He runs his fingers into my cheeks, seems like he’s trying to memorize every angle of my face, it tickles but something arouses inside me.
“Once you have fallen for a man, he could be lucky to have you. If only I can, I will but I’m not destined to accept love,” he utters, meaningfully.
I don’t know what to say. I don’t know how to react. Why does he need to say it? Now, I am doubting if he’s really telling the truth—or is he being honest with himself. What if he’s that man? What if he already slowly falling to me? Call me ambitious, but Zero will not have to say those words.
Zero was known to be the legendary womanizer—the monster in town. A heartless Casanova. However, why would Zero turn out to be like a monster? He was born with it? Or there’s a reason behind it?
“I want to focus on my studies first,” I replied, trying to break the awkwardness between us.
Zero grinned. “Then why are you hooking up with me?” he asked which makes my brow arch to its extent.
“You’re implying—”
“Ops. Don’t overthink. And don’t you worry, you’re safe with me. Just don’t fall for me—”
“Excuse me?” I interrupted. “Why would I fall for you?”
“You had a cr—” he didn’t finish his words when I cover his mouth with my left palm.
“You’re getting talkative, Zero. And it’s unusual. If you want to tease me, you shouldn’t include those things and just tease me with your touch—” I paused and pressed my lips when I realizes what am I saying.
Stupid, brain. Stupid, Isla! I cursed into myself.
I looked away and tried to get up but Zero didn’t let me escape from his grip.
“I really love your honesty,” he asserted and formed a sly smirk on his lips.
I rolled my eyes. “Just let me go. I want to take a nap,” I uttered, sounding so sarcastic.
Zero let out a soft chuckle. “Come on, baby. I know you want me, plunged into you—”
“Shut up!” I exclaimed and glared at him which makes him grimace.
“You’re too loud. I’m just right here,” he uttered and chuckled.
“Blah… blah… blah—” I didn’t finish the mocking when Zero shut me up using his lips.
