What She Wants
THE FOLLOWING DAY, the sun shone past through the window and was flashing bright towards the happy couples sleeping into the soft cottony sheets.
Zero opened his eyes and smiled as he stared at Isla, who was peacefully sleeping in his arm. He lifted his hand and pushed back the strands of her hair. He runs his fingertips into her cheeks. Isla gained weight because of their child, and nothing changed. She’s still beautiful since the day they met.
She heard her groan and slowly opened her eyes. “Good morning, sunshine,” Zero uttered with a smile creeping into his face.
Isla thought what had happened yesterday was just a dream, but it turns out that it was real. She smiled at him. “Morning,” she mumbled and closed her eyes again.
Zero frowned slightly. “Are you going to sleep again, baby?” he asked.
Hearing Zero’s soft and calm voice made her feel thrilled and lucky. And damn, it still feels like she’s just dreaming.
However, she knew that it was not.
She opened her eyes again and met his gaze. Suddenly, her fingers went to her eyes and searched for what they called: the morning star. But she got nothing.
“Don’t bother to look for it, baby. You look fresh like those newly blooming flowers in the garden,” Zero asserted.
Isla couldn’t help but grimace when she heard Zero’s corny words. “I’m not used to the Zero who’s being sweet,” she said, making Zero laugh.
Damn, she cursed inside. Why does he have a mint breath? He just woke up, right? She thought.
She smiled at him. “Hmm… you really didn’t leave?”
Zero nodded as he planted a soft kiss on her forehead, making her close her eyes and shiver. That electrifying kiss arouses something inside her, but she doesn’t want to think about it.
“Didn’t Apollo get in here and drag you out?” she asked as she met his gaze.
Zero let out a soft chuckle. “Nope. And why would he?”
Isla shrugged her shoulder. “I don’t know. You two used to threaten each other—Apollo used to threaten you not to come close to me, yet he’s letting you know?”
“Look how fast the days change,” Zero replied and flashed a smile at her.
“And I’m not used to seeing you smiling at me. You don’t know how to smile genuinely, as far as I remember. And I always saw your devilish smirk,” she uttered, making Zero laugh out loud.
And when he stopped, he gave a peck on her lips. “Guess people change,” he replied.
Isla slammed his chest and laughed. Then suddenly, she felt her baby move inside her bump. “She kicked!” she exclaimed, and her eyes widened.
“Who? Who kicked?” Zero got up immediately and looked around. He frowned and looked at Isla. “W-Who—”
Isla can’t help but laugh out loud. She held her tummy. She stopped and looked at Zero intently. “Our daughter,” she said.
Zero’s forehead creased, and his gaze landed on her baby bump. He lifted his hand, reached for her baby bump, and gently rested his hand on it.
He smiled.
And seeing it, Isla couldn’t help but smile too. The monster she had known was tamed.
“Hi there, baby,” Zero mumbled and began to caress her tummy. “Daddy’s here….”
Hearing it, Isla pouted and was calming herself not to cry. Don’t cry. Don’t cry… she keeps chanting it inside her mind.
“Why are you not answering?” Zero asked, making Isla slam his shoulder. “Ouch,” Zero complained.
“Are you nuts? How can she answer if she’s—”
“I mean, she will kick. If she heard his daddy, she should kick,” he reasoned out, making Isla shake her head.
She held Zero’s shoulder as she got up and leaned on the headboard. Zero looked at her and smiled.
“When will be your due date?” Zero asked.
“Guess when,” she teased.
Zero arched his brow and sighed. “Never mind. I want it to be surprising. And I don’t want to count days if I find it out,” he replied.
Isla smiled. “If you say so.”
“Uhm, are you hungry? What do you want, and what does my little one want?” Zero asked as he caressed her bump.
Isla smiled. “What do I want?” she asked.
Zero frowned slightly and nodded.
Isla bit her lower lip as she looked at Zero meaningfully, an idea running inside her head. “Hmm…” she shrugged her shoulders, “I don’t know—”
“Then—”
“—Maybe you?” Isla asked.
Even’s eyes widened as shock filled in, and it took a couple of seconds before he reacted. He laughed and suddenly brushed his lips into hers.
THE WEEK had passed.
“Don’t you think it’s fine if we had sex?” Zero’s voice breaks the silence inside Isla’s room.
It was five in the afternoon when they decided to take a nap after a tiring day inside the mall, looking and buying baby stuff.
Isla picked up the pillow and slammed it on Zero’s face. “Fuck yourself, jerk. And stop being naughty, Zero. Looked at my bump!” she exclaimed.
“Your OB suggested that we should do it so that it will be easier for you to deliver our baby,” Zero replied, still trying to have a chance.
Isla got up, leaned on the bed’s headboard, and hit Zero with the pillow once again. “Stop pestering me, Zero.”
Zero let out a devilish laugh and caught her hand. He stared into her eyes and smiled. “What if I don’t? What will you gonna do?” he asked—a sly smirk formed in the corners of his lips.
She arched her brow. “I’m gonna kill you—”
“Kill me with what? With excitement?” he laughed, “—come on, baby. I’ll be gentle—”
“Shut up, Zero. If your dick is itching, just scratch it on the wall. And stop bothering me!” she replied, and she climbed down on her bed.
She was about to walk when Zero held her hand and pulled her down gently, catching her with his broad arms. He enveloped his hands into her waist as he let her sit on his lap.
He stared into her eyes and smiled. Then suddenly, he moved closer and gave a peck on her lips, making Isla’s ice grow wider.
She glared at Zero as she moved her face away. “Zero, stop. And don’t you dare try it—”
“There’s no harm in trying, baby,” Zero replied, making Isla grimace and was about to stand up when Zero didn’t let her go.
“Come on, baby. Let’s do it. I swear, I’ll be gentle,” he begged. “Let’s stand up and gonna thrust from behind—”
“Zero!”
Zero smiled and massaged her baby bump. “Baby, mommy doesn’t want daddy to touch her—Ouch!” he exclaimed when Isla twisted his ear upward. Zero let her go.
Isla stood up and shot a deathly glare at Zero. “I told you; I don’t want to. You can just masturbate you fucking itchy di—”
“Would you do it for me, then?” Zero asked, letting out a devilish smile on his lips.
She frowned and crossed her arms in front of her chest. “Do what?”
Zero stood up and towered to her, making Isla to looked up. “You know what I mean,” Zero replied.
Isla rolled her eyes and shook her head. “Fine! Take off your pants and sit on the bed,” she said.
Zero’s heart thumped in joy. “Really?” he asked.
Isla arched her brow. “You don’t want to?”
“I… of course, I want it,” he replied energetically.
Zero then started to unzip the zipper of his pants and pull it down. And then he held the garter of his boxer and took it off. He sat on the bed and slightly leaned backward. When he looked up, he smirked.
Isla smiled widely and walked closer to Zero. She bit her lower lip to look seductively, then suddenly, she held his shaft as she leaned forward.
Zero groaned when he felt the warmth from Isla’s palm. “Is it good?” she asked.
“Uhm, stroke it, and it will be so good, baby,” Zero replied and smiled at her.
Isla nodded. Then suddenly, Zero screamed at the top of his lungs when she pulled his shaft upward, making the skin of it stretch upward.
Isla, let go of his dick and let out a soft chuckle.
“Fuck!” Zero cursed, “Why the hell did you do that?” he asked and grimaced.
Isla shrugged. “I told you. Stop being naughty. And it’s not that I will follow what you wanted. Anyway, I want a strawberry that is fresh from the farm. Go, get me one,” she asserted.
Zero stood up and fixed himself and frowned at her. “Where did I get strawberry—”
“Just go get me some. If you can’t, just go home,” she said and walked her way towards the door.
Zero zipped his pants and followed her. “Baby, there are many strawberries in the mall—”
“I want the freshly picked one,” she replied.
Zero scratches the back of his head. “Where am I gonna supposed to—”
“Fine. Just buy me mangoes and make a dip with mayonnaise and ketchup,” she said.
Mayonnaise, ketchup? Zero thought.
“Ripe or—”
“Green mangoes,” she interrupted as they walked their way downstairs.
“But green mangoes won’t go with mayonnaise—” he paused when Isla shot a glare at him.
“That’s what my baby wanted,” she replied.
Zero’s forehead creased. “I thought you don’t have any cravings anymore? Why all of a sudden?” he asked.
Isla rolled her eyes and continued to walk. She was just bluffing. It’s not true that she wanted green mangoes when in fact, she hated them. She just wants to test Zero if he will gonna get one and eat them with her.
“Fine, I’ll go get one,” Zero uttered, making Isla to stopped and look in his direction.
“I’ll wait for it, baby,” she replied.
Hearing that endearment, Zero can’t help but smile.
