Chapter 10 - Trixie's Jealousy

In the opulent confines of Trixie Bennington's room, the air buzzed with discontent. Trixie, the Delta's daughter, paced back and forth, her anger barely contained. Her friends, Pia, Sheryl, and Eliza, lounged around the room, their expressions a mix of curiosity and concern.
"I can't believe it!" Trixie exclaimed, her voice sharp with fury. "Alpha Shane choosing a human and some unknown reporter over me to be his wife and Luna? It's an insult!"
Pia, who was sitting cross-legged on the plush rug, looked up with wide eyes. "That woman is Giselle Hamilton," she said, her tone contemplative. "She is pretty, but she's just a normal human."
Sheryl, reclining on the bed, nodded in agreement. "Exactly. A normal human. What does he see in her? She doesn't have any of our strengths or abilities."
Eliza, leaning against the vanity, chimed in. "And she's not from any of the influential families. She's an outsider."
Trixie stopped pacing and turned to face her friends, her eyes blazing with determination. "I will not allow her to marry Shane," she declared.
Pia raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. "What are you going to do, Trixie? Stop the wedding? You know Alpha Shane could punish you for that."
Trixie rolled her eyes, a smirk playing on her lips. "I'm not a fool, Pia. I'm not going to do something stupid that would get me punished. But I can make sure that Giselle vanishes."
Sheryl and Eliza exchanged nervous glances. "What do you mean, Trixie?" Sheryl asked cautiously.
"I have my ways," Trixie replied cryptically, her tone icy. "There are ways to make someone disappear without causing a scene."
Eliza's brow furrowed in concern. "But Trixie, if anything happens to Giselle, Shane will be suspicious. He won't rest until he finds out what happened to her."
Trixie waved off Eliza's worries with a flick of her hand. "Shane won't suspect me. He'll be too focused on his grief to think clearly. Besides, I'll make sure there's no trace back to us."
Pia's face showed a flicker of fear. "This sounds dangerous, Trixie. Are you sure this is the right move?"
"Do you have a better idea?" Trixie snapped, her patience wearing thin. "I am not going to sit by and let some human take what's rightfully mine. I've waited too long for this."
Sheryl tried to calm her friend. "Trixie, maybe there's another way to handle this. Maybe we can find a way to make Shane see that you're the better choice without resorting to... drastic measures."
Trixie shook her head vehemently. "No, this is the only way. Giselle needs to be out of the picture. Permanently."
Eliza bit her lip, clearly torn. "But how will you do it? Giselle will be surrounded by the pack. It's not going to be easy."
Trixie's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with possibilities. "I'll figure it out. I have connections, people who owe me favors. I'll find a way to get to her."
Pia, sensing the gravity of the situation, tried one last time to dissuade Trixie. "Please, Trixie. Think this through. There has to be another way."
Trixie softened slightly, her expression less harsh. "I appreciate your concern, Pia. But this is something I have to do. For me. For the pack. Shane needs a strong Luna by his side, not a weak human."
Sheryl sighed, knowing Trixie well enough to realize that her mind was made up. "Just promise us that you'll be careful. We don't want to lose you over this."
Trixie nodded, a small smile touching her lips. "I promise. I'll be careful. But Giselle Hamilton will not marry Shane. I'll make sure of it."
Pia looked at Trixie with a thoughtful expression. "What if you try talking to your father first?" she suggested. "Delta Marlon is the fourth in command. For sure, Alpha Shane would listen to him."
Trixie paused, her annoyance flickering across her face. "Fine," she said, her voice tinged with irritation. "I'll talk to my father later. But if he can't do anything, then I'll proceed with my plan to eliminate Giselle."
Sheryl leaned forward, her eyes wide with concern. "Are you sure that's the best course of action, Trixie? What if talking to Delta Marlon works?"
Trixie crossed her arms, a scowl forming on her lips. "I doubt it will. My father is loyal to Shane, and he might not want to interfere with his decisions. But I'll give it a try for now."
Eliza, who had been quietly observing, finally spoke up. "What exactly is your plan if your father can't help? You said you'd make Giselle vanish, but how?"
Trixie grinned, a devious glint in her eyes as she looked at her friends. "I have a plan," she said, her voice low and conspiratorial. "I'll tell the rogues to abduct Giselle. They can use her to get a ransom for money, but even after they get the money, I'll instruct them to eliminate her."
Pia, Sheryl, and Eliza exchanged nervous glances, a mix of excitement and apprehension flickering across their faces.
"But what if the rogues don't follow through?" Sheryl asked, her voice tinged with concern.
"They will," Trixie assured, her confidence unshaken. "They owe me, and they know better than to cross me."
Eliza frowned, her brow furrowed in thought. "And if you become Luna, what does that mean for us?"
Trixie’s grin widened. "If I become Luna, your families will gain more power too. Imagine the influence and prestige you'll have. Our families will be at the top of the pack hierarchy."
Pia, Sheryl, and Eliza looked at each other, the temptation clear in their eyes. The promise of power and influence was too alluring to ignore.
Pia spoke first, her voice firm. "Alright, Trixie. We're with you. The benefits are too good to pass up."
Sheryl nodded, a determined look on her face. "Yes, if our families can gain more power, it's worth the risk."
Eliza, who had been the most hesitant, finally agreed, her eyes gleaming with ambition. "Okay, Trixie. We'll support your plan. We want our families to be powerful too."
Trixie’s smile turned predatory. "Good. We're all in this together. Once Giselle is out of the picture, Shane will have no choice but to choose me. And when I'm Luna, we'll make sure our families are the most powerful in the pack."
Pia grinned, her excitement bubbling over. "I can't wait to see the look on Giselle's face when she realizes what's happening."
Sheryl laughed, the sound harsh and filled with anticipation. "She won't know what hit her."
Eliza, still a bit nervous, took a deep breath and nodded. "Let's just make sure we cover our tracks. We can't afford to be caught."
"Don't worry," Trixie said, her voice steely with resolve. "I've thought this through. The rogues will take care of everything, and we'll have our alibis ready. By the time anyone realizes what's happened, it will be too late."
