Chapter Thirteen
*“Hmpf.” *
Lannister was silent as he thought of his most recent encounter with Lelani. His eyebrows arched as he dipped his quill pen in the bloody red color of ink and began writing. Letter after letter. Parchment after parchment. Sealing them all with a red wax seal of a rose. His followers watched him silently as he would dip the pen in the ink and from time to time let a drop of the ink fall from the pen to his tongue. The others watched as his body shivered.
Though they said nothing they all knew what the ink really was. It was blood. The finest blood of all the realms. It belonged to Lelani. Lannister sacrificed much in one of his many past lives to acquire it. Her blood was the sweetest scent in all the realms. It made vampires mouth water. Caused lycans that had yet been sired to go mad. Skinwalkers shivered at the thought of wearing her skin.
As he wrote the intricate letters in her blood he chuckled to himself. Lannister was a skilled man who meant everything he said. Long long ago he told Lelani she would be his or no one else’s. She would take his hand in marriage or she would watch the realms fall. Tonight showed what side she chose and now it was time to put those words in action. Once he sealed the last letter Lannister looked up through locks of hair and dark eyes. Shadows surrounded him. Some belonged to vampires, others to new demons that had been hidden even before his time. Shadows of the darkness ready to destroy lives. Lannister smirked, handing the letters to the leaders of the different clans. Clasping his fingers together as he rested his chin on his hands. Once he had everyone's attention he opened up his hands to let everyone know they were dismissed. Speaking only two words to them before they walked out. Wreak Havoc. With that the shadows disappeared and Lannister took the remaining amount of her blood and drank it slowly. Letting it linger on his lips before licking it clean. His eyes were red and gold at the same time as his fangs grew out. He wanted Lelani, and he would do anything to have her.

All eyes seemed to be a mix of fear and shock as they watched the inner rage flow from Montai and take over his aura. Montai’s eyes were bloodshot red. Fangs piercing through his gums and growing out a few more inches. Lycan hair pushing through the skin on his spine. Drool ran from his chin as he tried to hold back his howl. Listening to the story of Lelani and Lannister made his blood boil and his stomach churn.
She met him on Earth long ago. She caught his scent and followed him. Witnessing all these foul events he took a part of and learned about different corrupted creatures. One day she approached him already knowing what he was and he knew what she was. They had made an agreement that if she gave him blood to drink off of he would leave the village he was in and start a new life. He held up to his bargain until now.. He was low on her blood and now humans were becoming his victims once more. Going back to his old ways where he would torture them first. Drinking blood little by little.
Lelani shared everything with Montai. Even the last few words Lannister said to her when the deal was sealed. Lannister told Lelani that his blood supply of hers would dry one day, and he would come back not only for more blood but for her as well. She would have the choice of being beside him as his queen to ensure peace in all the realms or…
Or she could refuse him and be the reason why the next great battle begins. When he made this threat she decided to play coy. Flirted and gave him more of her blood only this time she had poisoned it with a rare and complicated spell she learned from her mother long ago. However Lannister fed off the blood of humans and although it left him with a vile smell it made his immune system a repellant to almost any type of magic. Lelani thought she left Lannister for dead to burn in the sun. However, he was very much alive, and he had shown up to give her one final choice. Of course at the border it was clear she decided what side she was on.
Montai had gone mad when he heard this information. Annoyed she had kept this from him, angry that this vampire had some odd want with her. Lelani was his queen and no one was allowed to think of her let alone touch her. “They will die between the jaws of my mouth.” He growled.
Lelani and his brothers looked at one another with concern. Once his anger had settled Lelani spoke with a stern voice. Unable to escape this odd feeling that was taking over her. “The elders know what to do in our absence. We will travel to Earth’s realm first thing tomorrow. You will not act on the instinct of the beast inside you. We remain discreet. We kill what we must, and you follow my lead. Earth is not a peaceful place. It’s a pit of vile shit that every so often smells good. A bunch of evil and very little good. Everyone rest up. We leave at daybreak.”
With that Lelani excused everyone. Montai simply stared at her with anger still in his chest. His lips parted but soon closed, unable to find the words. Lelani’s thoughts trapped in the past she had once forced herself to forget. Lannister was an old nightmare who had come to haunt her once more.
