Chapter Five: Continued
Seeing her bite her lips made the member between his pants jump and when he saw her reaction he fell back, dropping her to the ground. A few muttered words from Amunet followed by a dozen apologies from Montai.
“Please forgive me. I’m having a hard time controlling myself around you. I… Well. I know this may be a bit overwhelming to hear but what I saw is true, and we are known to be blunt so..”
He crossed his arms over his chest blocking the front door so she couldn’t go anywhere. At least not until she heard this…
*“Well I’m a Lycan and I’ve been sirened to you. Centuries ago. I.. This place is called Nakuru Lands. It was created by gods far beyond our understanding long ago. We were created along with it. A large piece of magical land hidden from the world to keep the balance and once we had blossomed as a community the gods faded. We don’t know if they died or went somewhere else but when they left they also left a gift. A part of them. In a newborn baby. You. Nakuru land was filled with many different beings, the Lycans being the most honorable to rule the lands and soon would be bonded with the river of enchantment people. To rule the land was one thing, but to have the power and magic source along your side was peace forever or so our people thought.*
*We were met to be married and grew up writing love letters to one another since our kingdoms were so far apart. I loved you and you said you loved me too. You were my best friend, my girlfriend, my soon-to-be wife. My Queen. All starting from letters. We were going to rule together. But we were attacked. Long story short many died and we hid you deeper on earth past the Nakuru boundaries where we couldn’t see you. The lands here fell without you. Long story short, one day I saw a figure of you, went mad. I had to find you and left Nakuru Lands and did. In time too. Others were after you. Brought you here and here we are.”*
He huffed out of breath. Sitting in silence as he gave Amunet time to soak in everything he had said. Watching as her mind ticked away.
Amunet sat quietly thinking to herself. It all made sense she thought about it. She woke up in the hospital from dehydration. It was an odd place, she didn’t even know her name. A lady told her this was her chance to make one up and she chose Amunet. Her nightmares, visions of the woman that looked just like her. It did make sense. She looked up at this man shaking her head. “I don’t understand. Did you follow me to Earth? Are we not on Earth? Why marry me? What am I to this land? What’s your name? I..”
He held his hand up gently pulling something from his pocket. Her bracelet, the one from her dreams and the one from the opera house. “It fell when those… men attacked you. My name is Montai and as far as the rest of your questions. Well, I’m afraid you must find that out on your own. I will leave you to yourself. You are free to leave the room and I will visit you tonight.”
With that Montai stood and walked out the bedroom door.
