Chapter Seventeen

“SILENCE!!!”

The overwhelming sounds of loud chatter. Arguing and cussing soon died down when Montai’s father, the chief of the elders spoke. The other thing that could be heard was the harsh scraping sound of chairs being pulled out and the husky grunts of the old man as they sat down. A slight smirk from Boa as he watched their struggle and then… All eyes were on Montai. Well… Not all eyes.

Lelani and Nile were missing. A few eyes scanning the room as they noticed the missing appearances. The elders seemed unbothered. However, Boa and Mohe were concerned and you could see by the stance in their seat they wanted answers. For a moment no one said anything. It wasn’t until the silence started to become uncomfortable that Montai stood up tapping his pointer finger on the wooden table as he glazed over to the elders.

His father sighing softly before placing his chin over his intertwined fingers. Nodding before speaking two words.. Go ahead. With that Montai nodded turning to face his brothers Boa and Mohe. The only two at the table left out on the secret to destroying the creatures. He looked at them both with tired loss eyes before speaking.

“There is something I need to tell you.”

Lelani and Nile
In the Garden behind the Palace
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nile stood at the far end of the Palace’s Garden where he had been told to wait for the Queen. Her nerves seemed to be on high alert as he pondered what it could possibly be that Lelani would want his company for. As he waited for her to arrive he stood looking around at the scenery before him. He had to admit out of the entire garden this area was his favorite.
There was always this odd warming sensation that filled his lower core when he wandered to this area. This part of the garden was filled with the most trees. The water from the fountain would run through the garden until it found its way to this small built-in hole in the wall as a streaming exit for the water. The moon seemed to always shine the brightest in this area. Causing the clear water to glisten against the smooth rock under the moonlight.
There was a massive green leafy vine wall that was part of the garden walls. It towered over him causing a shadow over his shadow. Tucking him away perfectly in darkness. A peaceful darkness as he listened to the water run. An owl hooted to himself off in the distance. Small creatures scurried the night. His eyes were closed as he thought of peaceful thoughts. As he wished for something more.
SNAP!
Nile could hear the sound of twigs snapping in the distance behind a few berry bushes hidden behind one of the many willow trees in the maze. His hairs rose as his body grew alert. Without question Nile slid out of the dress shoes he was trying to train himself to wear. Lifting his feet from his shoes and kneeling on his feet and hands the way a gorilla would. He wore a plain white collared long sleeve dress shirt. The sleeves had been rolled up and the first few buttons were undone to reveal part of his perfectly defined chest.
His black dress pants loose enough to match his movements without ripping or tearing at the seams. His grey eyes growing foggy. A misty dark cloud. Muggier than usual as he stalked over slowly to the rustling in the bushes. His breathing picked up slightly with curiosity as he brushed back some branches from the bushes.
His eyes went wide and he fell back as a fluffy baby bunny came out jumping on his chest. What he thought he would catch in his hands seemed to pass right through him like a ghost. Leaving this odd but comfortable chill in his chest. When the bunny passed through Nile and before its feet could hit the ground it burst. Blossoming into butterflies and flowers that soon formed into a small tornado.
Nile’s eyes were wide with wonder and as he stood the butterfly and flower tornado stopped. The butterflies vanished and the flowers turned to real sunflower petals that fell on the floor.
There standing in the center of all the fallen petals was a beautiful woman. Someone he had never seen before, and at the moment he saw her the entire universe stopped. This realm and the next. Frozen in time. Only she moved. Forming the soft figure of a woman. He could tell it was a woman before the shape could even take a form because of the way his body felt. The warm sensation in his groin, and the heavy want on his chest. Followed by that alluring scent.
Brown sugar, warm cinnamon, and a hint of fresh maple from a tree. Her figure was that of a crystal blue shadow. Like a beautiful ghost. Maybe even almost angel-like. Due to the crystal blue fog-like appearance the color of her true skin was unknown. However, to Nile, she was still lovely.
Her hair ran down the middle of her back in these tight tiny little curls. Her eyebrows had the perfect arched shape to fit her face. Thick eyelashes and although he couldn’t tell the color of her skin he could see the color of her eyes. Grey eyes with hints of purple. Small freckles were placed just underneath her eyes. Lips stained with a lipstick color that he could not tell.
She had a slender neck, small breasts. Flat hourglass stomach. Decent-sized arse. Thick thighs for her size and long legs. A slim body with perfect features. She wore some type of silky fabric that clung to her skin like water. No jewelry. Just this rare beauty. He was about to approach her but before he could lift his foot from the ground she vanished. Turning into these tiny little butterflies that flew off and turned into small fragments of gold dust. And then disappeared completely. Leaving no trace of the wondrous woman he now had to know.
