Chapter 16

" We've let them alone for too long, it's time to show them who power really belongs to. Get ready and prepare some warriors, we move when I say so. " With that he dismissed Sham and called in the ladies who went out earlier so as to give them privacy.

" You need to stand firm. The most important thing is your balance, both your feet balance and your hand balance. You need to be able to guess your opponent next move especially when you are defending... " Anna went on and on explaining to Elsa whereas was putting those words into practice. Interestingly, she was getting the hang of things and whenever she made a mistake, she made sure to calm down and explain things to Else and where she got it wrong instead of yelling at her. Elsa was enjoying every bit of her training with Anna and she couldn't wish for a better tutor.

" Where did you learn to fight?" Raphael asked impressed by her moves and how well she communicated her fighting skills. That was something he lacked even as a good warrior.

" I was the personal bodyguard of the Princess of my town and that was how I was able to survive this far." She explained trying hard not to blush to the compliment of her crush.

" Little wonder why she is a better tutor than you." I whispered forgetting that Raphael could hear me.

Pacing in his room, he couldn't get the whole idea of getting an Alpha out of his mind. Worse still was the fact that Adrian was talking about attacking his people. ' I know what I did seems like a betrayer but the pack would be better under my rulership. Gwa couldn't come so close to the weredragons to the point of getting their secret of destruction. But with me here, I can gain their trust, get the knowledge behind their rulership and restore the pride of my people.' He reanalyzed his plans so as to loss focus. Now it was time to gain the trust of the werewolves back. He needed to warn his pack of the impeding doom that was coming their way.

" No one should disturb me till I ask for your attention." Sham warned the guards that were assigned to guard him and even spy on him.

When it was dark, he jumped through the opened window and lept off to the forest where the pack was hiding. He thought of what to say so as to sound convincing to his kin as everyone of them saw him as an enemy now. He could sense them, his kin, he could hear them whisper, he could hear the sadness in his voice and how much they must hate him now.

" Who is there?" A werewolf asked sensing the presence of someone hiding in the forest.

" My kind" Sham walked in bodly throwing a smile at them. That was a very wrong move as before anyone could compose a sentence, Zaruch who was always alert these days and who also was in his best behavior so as to get the approval of everyone fully.

" Arrrgh..." Sham wailed as Zaruch attacked him, thereby tearing his skin with his claws fully stretched out. Sham wasn't fast enough to avoid the blow as there were marks of Zaruch claws all over his face." How dare you show your face?" He hissed as he positioned himself for attack with his two legs spread slightly, his knees bent, his sharp claws glowing in the darkness and his red shot blood tasty eyes.

" My brother, I am here to explain a lot." Sham said avoiding any attack move but ready to defend himself from more tears. " Explain what?" Zaruch growled as he lept on Sham forcefully, forcefully forming a ball with his fist so as to drive a hung blow to Sham's face that screamed 'betrayer' at that moment but Sham dodged it causing Zaruch to hit himself greatly on a rock.

By now, all the pack members were already gathered with the stronger once in front surrounding Sham with hatred in his eyes.

Seeing that any wrong move now could cause his death, be decided to go on his knees and lifted his two hands up showing that he surrendered. He was already bleeding too much due to the tear inflicted on him by the young werewolf. Normally be would have self healed fast if the cut was from something else. But since it was from a fellow werewolf, it would take more hours for him to heal compared to normal healing time.

" Please, I'm not here to fight. There have been a lot of misunderstanding and I have come to clear the air." He said breathing heavily as he was already exhausted from the fight earlier. He figured that the best thing to do now was to buy himself a little time to regain some of his energy and even heal by engaging them in a talk that would make them listen.

" You really think I would betray my people. You really believe I was responsible for the death of Gwa? Never! It hurts me to even think that you think this of me." Sham sounded disappointed.

" Shut your lying Iips. Today you will die for ever daring to show yourself to us, proves you already dug your grave somewhere because by the time I am done with you, I would feed your carcass to the vulture of the air and hang your head up high on a stick so that nobody will ever think of choosing sides with the weredragons." Zaruch sneered as he moved closer to Sham.

' All I need to do, is to break your neck bones. So don't try me, better buy my story in peace and let's end it all with a hug. It's actually getting more irritating with you thinking you can kill me. What a f**l!' Sham hissed as quickly discarded those thoughts before any of them tried to read his thoughts. Reading of thoughts could be done only by a few as it required a lot of years of experience and Sham could sight some older ones among them.

" Let me explain please, give me a chance." He pleaded once more now lying flat on the ground to show total obeisance and surrender. " Please, just listen to me, then kill me if you choose to after I finish speaking. All I ask for is an opportunity to talk, please. I have a plan to put the weredragons under our feet forever please." He pleaded still lying on the ground.

Zaruch eyes met the eyes of several weredragons to see if they were really interested in listening to what ever he wanted to say. Some nodded their head at him as a sign of approval while others still didn't like the idea of giving a betrayer a chance to speak.

" Speak!" Zaruch roared probably trying to create fear in Sham. " If you lie to me, them you are gone. I will kill you myself!" He growled sounding as confident and daring as best as he could so as to snow Sham that be wasn't playing. If not that his head was bowed, someone would have seen Sham roll his eyes and even smirked.

" I did want I did to gain the favor of the weredragons. I never killed Gwa, I only paid allegiance to the weredragon when I discovered that someone had been trying to kill Gwa with Poison. If Gwa was going to die, I had to make the enemy believe I was on their side so that I can get the weak point of the weredragons. They are coming very soon, either you leave this forest or you stand and fight. But you are too outnumbered, run as soon as possible because within this week the forest will be burnt to ashes. I have warned you! While with the weredragons, I found out who tried killing Gwa, it was Raphael. Little wonder why he brought a girl with a false story so that he would rule the park using her. Where was he when we fell? Where was he when we were attacked? He just woke up one day a cooked a big story knowing that this is a very distressing moment for all." Sham said as seriously, sounding so convincing that some werewolves actually started believing his word.

" I speak the truth, I lie not. If you wanna of I'm lying, then wait to see if the weredragons would attack or not. I wouldn't try to convince you all but I am telling the truth, I have no gain to lie." He said now rising up. " One thing Gwa could not do we will still find a way of getting rid of the weredragons completely. The weredragons are not creatures of peace so we must find a way to bring them down to hell completely and I am already on that road. " Sham spoke to the hearing of all.
