Chapter 38

Elsa felt butterflies in her stomach as Raphael looked sweetly at her. " I will try to visit more often so you don't feel alone and so you can share whatever and anything with me. Truth is, I really miss you here and I want to apologise on behalf of the other werewolves. They didn't treat you right but I'm sure everything is happening for a reason. be strong and never forget that you are one of a kind, in fact, you are the only specie, so thrive do exploits." He continued talking. Elsa stared at his lovely lips and she felt like having a taste of it.

" What?" She quickly scolded herself and she was grateful that Raphael could not here her thoughts if not it would have been catastrophic for her. She wondered why she suddenly thought of kissing Raphael and then she figured out that it must be because she missed him or because her body was reminding her that she was still human. 

" Sham said something to me about a mate? What does that mean?" She asked thankful she remembered his words.

" How exactly did he put it?" He asked. 

" He said I should be his Mate, his queen and that we will rule together. I get the part of his being his queen but I don't get the part of being his mate. How do werewolves take their mate?" She asked. Raphael was suprised that Sham could come up with something that stupid all in his quest for power. He didn't know why but he was greatly angered and pretty disgusted. He took several breaths in and out so as to relax, he really didn't want Elsa to see him angry.

" Well, a mate is like one's spouse in the human sense. It's just that with the werewolves, it is different. We can only have one mate for life and she will produce offsprings for us the male. Meaning there is no divorce when it comes to the werewolves and one can only have another mate when the first one dies. There are two steps in the mating process; the marking and mating. Drain marking, Alpha male werewolves bites his chosen mate in the place in between the shoulder and neck. Once the female is marked, then half of the bond is completed. In the time past, a marking ceremony was done for the two werewolves. Meaning the male werewolf had to mark her in the presence of the park. After the marking process, their Bond grows stronger in which now, they can not only feel each other emotions but also read each other thoughts too. a werewolf can bring up a wall in his brain so that his mates can't feel his emotions or read his thoughts. The bond is not only between your human side but also between their wolves." He explained.

" While mating , which humans call sex is the real act. " He wanted to explain further but he felt uncomfortable talking about it, so he skipped.

" You know what sex is between a male and a female. Now once it's done, the mating process is fully completed. Now their souls are one, they can feel each other's pain happiness and other emotions. They can read each other's mind as well. At this point, if the male had built a wall in his mind initially, the world can be broken and each other's mind and thoughts can be read. to show how strong the bond is one can sense if his mate is hurt. " He explained further. He waited for her to absorb all he said and even asked questions.

" So, what you are saying is that if I get marked by Sham forcefully or willing, I become his for life? " She asked a bit scared.

" Y-e-s" he said emphatically.

" Then I will never let that happen, in fact I will do anything and everything to make sure he doesn't come near me. " She said with so much determination.

Somewhere in his hear, Raphael for scared of living her there alone especially since Sham had made his intentions known. He encouraged her to remain strong and that he would find a way to protect her from afar. He felt the power of the sorcery fading so he hugged her one last time before fading into thin air. Elsa jumped up immediately he left and she realized that all this while, she was asleep. 

" It's a dream." She said sadly but she could still feel the warmth of his hands on her shoulders. Elsa wondered why her body became quite sensitive. She wished she could ask Zaria but since she wasn't close by. She promised to ask Anna!

Sham couldn't rest in his room as he thought of what to do . The little girl was proving to be stubborn and he had to make her his forcefully or otherwise. He remembered his plan of impregnating a weredragon but it was too risky.

 " Wait, was she as a result of a werewolf and weredragon coming together? It was said that it happened a long time ago but her presence brought chaos to the two worlds. What further chaos can she cause?" He asked himself as his mind replayed the story Adrain told him.

" Arise Princess, the King is waiting for you outside to begin your training. " One of the guards woke Elsa who was fast asleep having the same dream she had earlier over again. 

' I forgot to tell Raphael' she murmured as she stretched herself after climbing off the bed.

Not sure what to do next, two ladies entered the room and from their dressing, they were clearly maids.

" Hi, your highness. My name is Rose and this is Joan, we will be in charge of taking care of you henceforth. " The first lady who had brown hair with a big hip that could not be ignored spoke. She was averagely heightened compared to the second one who was short and fleshy. 

" Firstly, I'm not your highness. My name is Elsa and I am not the daughter of Adrain nor am I royalty, so kindly speak to me casually. " She corrected.

" The King will have our heads if we try it. So please, permit us to address as 'your highness'. She said with a bow and the other side the same.

" Woah, from a slave to a princess. Is life not interesting!" Elsa said with a smile.

" Thank you but please be free around me acting this way is making me feel really awkward. First, you can start by raising your head and looking at the face of the person you will be spending time with. " She said. Elsa wasn't really used to people doing things for her instead it was the other way around. So, having people that will meet her needs daily and make sure she was ok was kind of awkward but she also wanted to experience it. deep down she concluded that she would never give Adrian any reason to feel like he bought her over.

" It's time to have your bathe, your Highness. " Rose spoke. She did most of the talking and Elsa noticed how shy Joan was. Elsa so herself in her; or should we say her past self in Joan and that made her smile. Life indeed had make her come out of her shell to face the reality of life. 

" Okay? Show me the way to the bathroom and I will do just that." Elsa replied.

The girls almost laughed. It was obvious to them that Elsa didn't know the first thing about being a princess. We are meant to bathe you, that's what's required.

She wanted to protest but when the girls looked at her with a pleading eyes, she guessed they were going to remind her o what Adrain could do to them if they didn't carry out their duties.

" Who is going to tell him?" She wondered.

' Elsa, the life of a princess doesn't happen every day, so enjoy it while it lasts because you don't know what will happen tomorrow.' she told herself before following the girls to the bathroom. 

The bathroom was as big as her room together with the other girl's room back at Madame Hornet's shop. it was a large bathtub inside the bathroom field halfway with water. It didn't look like ordinary water, it was like other things were added to the water such as oil. There were flowers floating on the water and it took Elsa several minutes to wake up to reality. Indeed the weredragons had the flashy things of life.

" Please remove your clothes." The girls instructed politely.
