Chapter 29

" Emm..hi" he stammered walking side by side Elsa.

" What do you want?" Elsa asked rather not nicely.

" Please, I just want to talk about what happened earlier with that strange woman. Sincerely I didn't know what was happening..." Elsa wanted to listen really wanting to know why Raphael of all people could stoop so low, to so something shameful.  But she stopped him, it wasn't actually her business. They were both adults, who knew exactly what they wanted and went for it.

" I really don't care, can we focus on what's ahead of us and get all this drama over with and return to having a peaceful lives." She responded not sounding all that angry anymore.

" Alright fine." Raphael responded after which he changed into a wolf and lept away while the others followed suite.

" Raphael!" The wolf on patrol exclaimed when he first saw Raphael.

" Josah" Raphael greeted with am handshake.

" It's good to see you." Josah said not longer looking at him but looking at the others he came with. He recognized Zaria and Zaruch is all grown up now. He didn't recognize the young girl and he wanted to ask but thought it better to hear it during the meeting. The werewolves are not good with interacting with other species. They prefer to stick to themselves no matter how small they were.

" Raphael, Zaria and Zaruch.  I see you have someone we don't know with you. Who is she? I want to be sure we can talk freely in front of her." The elder asked taking their seat in the little tent they erected.

" There is no time for introduction, you should know by now that Zaruch is missing." Raphael said standing.

" Yes, from the day Zaria took a stroll with him, we haven't heard from either of them. Only for Zaria to show up here without him what's going home. He is the fate of this pack and we need to announce him Alpha before the third full moon. There is time and certainly this isn't the time for games." The elder said not sounding pleased. If it wasn't for their trust in Zaria, they would have declared her a traitor and placed her on a bounty.

" That wasn't Zaria, it was Sham" Raphael explained.

" Are you trying to tell is that don't the difference between a male werewolf and a female werewolf? " The elder said a bit offended.

" It wasn't me, the last time I saw any of you was when I left with Raphael weeks ago. Sham had me kidnapped, so he could use my appearance through sorcerer to deceive you all which he has successfully done." Zaria spoke this time. 

" O wow" the rest of the group exclaimed shocked themselves.

" We all know the weredragons will not spare Zaruch, I doubt he is even alive." The elder said sadly.

" What's our fate now? Can we save him? Who will lead this battle?" They murmured among themselves in fear.

" You brat" you have the guts to touch a weredragon, don't you have any fear." Adrian said angrily to Zaruch was was powerless now due to the silver that had been used to cut him severally. He was bleeding profusely and still Adrain wasn't showing mercy.

" Gbam " the throne room echoed from the slap Adrain gave Zaruch. If not that he was been held by chains, he would have tumbled over.

" I'm going to show you what happens to those who mess with me, especially fleas like you." Adrian said with gritted teeth's as he used his sharp claws in holding Zaruch's neck.

" No matter what you do, # cough, no matter how many of us you kill, the disgusting specie called the weredragons will be whipped out completely by the werewolves. We might not be as strong as you are but the least of us backed by the love and support of others will bring down your corrupt empire." Zaruch said with so much confidence even if it was the last thing he said before he died.

" You are a great f**l, I laugh at your stupidity. You are going to die now and even your dearest werewolf wouldn't be able to rescue you." Adrain laughed loudly.

" Ahhh" Zaruch screamed as Adrian burnt his right ear with his hot breath.

" I wouldn't kill you now,...o I have forgotten that you can't hear me with this ear, since I burnt it." Adrain laughed hard.

Turning his head forcefully so that the left ear now faced him, he repeated his words. 

" I will kill you in the presence of those who has put their fate in you. I want to watch how the entire werewolves will die at my hands." He hissed before sliding out of the throne room.

" Zaruch was never the chosen one. Don't get me wrong, we will make sure he is returned back home safely but anytime we fight the one chosen for us, we only delay fate. Before our great Gwa died, he knew that there had to be one person who will do better than him after. He didn't choose but fate brought to him a savior and even he couldn't deny that the choice fate has made was the best." Raphael spoke.

" Are you referring to the human girl you spoke about months ago?" One of the werewolves spoke.

" She had the blood of a wolf in her and there is something that distinct her from us. She has the heart of a human and the strength of Gwa in her." Raphael replied not wanting to expose Elsa's dragon side yet.

Elsa had never seen that much werewolves in her life. They had different colors; some were white, grey, black and even brown. She felt a sense of belonging and the task that awaited her became even greater in her heart.

She wished she had met them in a much better situation, then maybe they would have accepted her. Her heart beat increased as she heard Raphael narrate again all that happened that faithful night.

" So, where is she?" Someone asked. ' Was she looking too weak that they couldn't even guess she was the one? " Elsa thought as her nervousness increased and the courage she had been able to gather throughout the past few weeks, began to melt.

Raphael held Elsa by her hand and whispered ' be strong, you have to look fearless.' 

" I present to you, your Alpha, Elsa." Raphael said standing side by Side Elsa.

" Is this a joke? Are we joking here? We don't have time for games, Raphael." A werewolf spoke.

Elsa who was supposed to look brave, couldn't even meet the eyes of her fellow werewolves. She twisted her fingers in front of her, looking like a child who lost her way. Some werewolves wanted to laugh but they kept their cool. "This isn't a laughing matter, if this sheep who stood in front of them was suppose to be their savior, they it was best they surrendered their selves to the weredragons and pledge to be their slave forever." One of them said.

" Silence" Zaria yelled. " How dare you spit such rubbish from your mouth. " She roared now standing on front of the person that spoke.

" No one cares of all of you accept her or not, the fact still remains that the fate of the werewolves rest upon her and the earlier we accept that, the better for us." She now said standing in front of everyone with head high and a charisma that was intimidating.

" Let's postpone all this talks and find a way to rescue Zaruch. He had been more helpful than this so called Alpha." Someone spoke.

As insulting as it sounded, it was the truth and everyone had to succumb to the idea.

" We need a few werewolves to go in there, the others will distract the werewolves by starting a fight at the entrance to the city." One of the elders spoke.

Zaria called Raphael aside.

" This is madness, are we going to sacrifice the pack for a werewolf who is dead already. We know how Adrian is, he wouldn't keep him alive." Zaria was bold enough to say what some werewolves had in mind but we're finding it difficult to say.

" Would you be saying this if it was you?" One of the werewolves who happened to listen to their conversation said.

" Yes. In this fight, many will be sacrificed and I will gladly offer myself than put the whole pack in danger. And for your information, the only life that is worth risking is that of the chosen Alpha." She concluded walking out on them. Zaria had a point but it was useless because no one would support it. They just had to try, at least that will make everyone pay attention to Elsa once they confirm that Zaruch is dead.

No one noticed that Zoe has been incredibly quiet for a while. He barely spoke and that was because he was handling some changes inside his body.
