Chapter 94: B

They spoke about his mother after he had congratulated him about the baby and when Na'im opened his mouth to speak after so much silence, Alan Gubro smiled and spoke before him, "I know what you're going to tell me since you have your memories back, Na'im. Your mother's death, I've investigated it thoroughly and it was my younger brother that asked someone to kill her so I would be hurt, just like Sadeeq did to you. But he later killed the man that did it because he wanted to destroy the only evidence I have. Do you know what I did?"
Na'im simply shook his head, "I didn't do anything. Because he was a lawyer and even though I was the king, I didn't have enough proof to execute him. I kept praying and I watched Allah take care of him for me, even though it was painful to watch, but I know it was justice served for Maryama..." The way Na'im stared at him made him chuckled and he nodded his head, "You dummy, her name was Maryama too. Anyways, he ended up having one of those ugly deaths unimaginable, with his dignity and wealth all gone. And I'm still here, even though the pain still in my heart, but with everything I could ever ask for, Alhamdulillah."
They both sighed and managed some smiles, "That's why I don't want you to take a revenge on Sadeeq, since he wasn't even able to kill them for you. Just stay and watch how Allah will take care of him for you. And please, love and cherish your other siblings in a way that this dirty fate wouldn't become a generational thing." Now, Na'im saw where Abba's love for a lovely family that wasn't separated with thirst for royalty began, and he softly hugged him before he muttered, "Insha Allah, Abba. I love you, and I miss her so much."
?
He was running into the hospital, he had just received a call from Saima and she was giggling when she told him that Maryam had refused to open her eyes since she woke up, that if it wasn't him, then she wanted no one around her. Na'im was glad that by the time he was there, Mammi had gone back home to make sure dinner was set for them and they all evacuated out of the room at once.
He saw her, even though seated upright on the bed, looking so tired and exhausted, she had her eyes closed and her hands were stubbornly wrapped on her chest. He kept staring at her, wanting to take her into an impromptu hug, but he wasn't tired of looking at her flushed face and puffy eyes and lips so red from her tears. She looked like she did before she got the bump; young, lovely, beautiful, innocent, just not as stubborn as she was now.
He thought of the perfect thing to say to her and the only thing that came out of his lips was, "Look here," and instantly, Maryam opened her eyes and stared at him. He was smiling at her and she laughed, cried and opened her arms widely for him.
"I'm so sad, can you please comfort me?" He chuckled amidst the tears that brewed in his eyes before he took her into that one hug his soul had been craving for a very long time now. Maryam gasped with her tears when she felt his body against hers and she placed her head on his shoulder. "I've missed you so much, Na'im. Oh, ya Allah." She didn't even want to think about what she had gone through, it was just too painful for her to think of.
Na'im slightly pulled her away from his chest and he kissed the top of her head as he began to wipe her tears and she did the same to him, "Believe me, I've missed you more, Hoor. And I'm so sorry..." She placed her lips on his to stop him from saying what he was trying to say. She didn't want his apology, she knew he didn't do that intentionally and he was hurting as much as she was too.
He was grinning at her when she pulled her lips away from his, "I love you, Na'im. Always and forever." He understood what the kiss meant now, even though she used it to serve two purposes.
He chuckled and hugged her again, making sure he was gentle towards her because of how she had been hurt by Sadeeq and the pain she went through when she gave birth to their bundle of joy. "I gave birth, they said it's a girl. Can we see her?" She said immediately after he broke their hug and he wondered if she wasn't hearing his thoughts.
"Yes, a very beautiful one, even though I had to fight the urge to see her because I want to see her first together with you." She waited until he went to the crib and with jelly hands, Na'im scooped the girl into his arms and that was the moment he realized what people meant when they told about how powerful love at first sight was. He kissed her forehead, delicately to avoid his tears from dripping onto her beautiful and cute face.
"She's beautiful, Hoor." He said with a voice choked with too many emotions. Now that he had held his little girl in his hands, Na'im knew how Sadeeq must've felt and he knew, seeing his little baby growing up might make him forgive his brother, because he knew he would do all sort of things for her.
He carefully placed her on Maryam's hand and watched the way she cried with a smile on her lips, "She looks like you, but the female version of you." At that time, the baby opened her eyes and she shrieked happily, "Look! She's got my eyes!" They both burst into tears of joy and Na'im pulled Maryam to his side, hugging them both before he placed a kiss on their foreheads.
"She's so beautiful, you both are beautiful, Mairam."
She chuckled, "I've missed hearing you call me that." She said and stared at him with her heart in her eyes. "What's going to be her name?"
Na'im thought for a moment before he immediately said, "Maryam Siddiqa." She stared at him with a confused look, even though she had the ends of her lips lifting into the beginning of a smile.
"My name?" She asked with a chuckle.
"Yes. My daughter's name, my wife's name, and my mother's name. We're going to call her Siddiqa." They lifted her up at the same time and held her tiny fingers. She fluttered her eyes open again, which made them chuckled happily, "You're loved by the soldier, Siddiqa." Maryam made a face and he chuckled before he turned her face to his, "You're loved, beyond measures, by the soldier, Maryam Bukar Ibrahim." She giggled happily before he sealed their lips into a passionate kiss that emoted how strong their love was and how it would take them forever together, thoroughly and passionately in love.
