Shopping

I stare at my self in mirror not believing it was me, I just signed a contract with a stranger, someone I know little or nothing about. My dad will be very disappointed in me wherever he is.

"mom, dad, Bello and Bloss am sorry, I had no other option, I had no choice, please forgive me." tears fill the brim of her eyes and like a fountain, it flowed wetting her soft cheeks.

Jason stood at the door of her room, an emotion flash on his face but it disappear as soon as it came. He left the door and went to his room to have a shut eyes.

The next day on the dining table on a beautiful Saturday which gloomy to Amaya because of what she did few days ago.

My eyes focus on my food which I had no appetite for, I play with it.

"you should get ready, we will be going out to buy some clothes for." I heard Mason's voice, I look at him not knowing why I need to buy clothes.

"You don't have clothes because of the thugs who chased you that day and if you did I would still need to get you new clothes because I know your clothes are raggedy, judging from your background." I frown at his words, not in the moon to talk I stood up and left the table for him.

I decided to call home to know how my mom is doing. "hello Bloss, how is mom doing?" I ask him.

"mom is alright thanks to you princess, how are you doing?" his voice sounded better than the the other day.

"am good, how are you and Bello? I miss you all so much, I miss home." I said trying hard not to cry.

"we are good and we miss you too, be good okay." I nod even though he couldn't see me.

"princess I thought your salary for a month is five hundred, but you sent two thousand which is equivalent to one million two hundred and twenty seven thousand france cfa." I thought of a lie to tell, I hate lying to them but I have to.

"my boss decided to add so, she said she doesn't want anything to happen to mom because am working for her and you guys." I lied right through my teeth.

"wow, she is good. You know I went to go visit Aunt Josephine to thank her for the opportunity but she wasn't there, she had moved out of her house. Her neighbors said something about her leaving the country." I curse the woman in my heart.

"yeah, Good for her, she has been a big 'blessing' to us for sure. I'll make sure to pay her back for the good deed." even though I said that, I meant something else.

"Princess I have to go, I need to give mom her meds." the call was disconnected after we said our byes.

The was a knock on the door, I open the door to find Vanessa. "Good morning Ma'am, master Mason request your presence in the living room, he said you should be dressed. I bought this for you." I thank her and collect the dress, I shut the door when she left.

"since you want to buy stuff for me, who am I to say no? I am going to shop till my heart content and I won't hold myself back." I muttered under my breathe. I slipped into the dress and left the room, I met the arrogant jerk outside by his car, without saying anything to him I got into the car and he joined me seconds later and his driver took off.

We got to the mall and damn it is big, the name read Green Acres Mall, we step in, Mason took me to section for clothes, shoes and other stuff.

A lady game to attend to us "take care of her and let her order what she wants, help her so she doesn't pick something hideous and unfit." I didn't take offense in his words, who am I to be angry? am going to make sure he regrets looking down on me.

The lady usher me and went with her. I look at the clothes and a smirk play on my lips "I want that, that, that and that, in fact bring all let's see which is suits me." I smiled at the lady. She took the clothes and we enter the changing room.

I tried some of clothes and got tired along the way "you know what?" I ask the lady who shook her head "pack them all up, I don't care if it fits me or not." she stare at me for a while before nodding.

I pick more clothes and gave it to her, we went to the shoes section. I measured almost all the shoes, anyone which is my size I told the lady to take it for me, even if I can't walk on some but hey, it is not my money.

I pick some irrelevant things and we went to meet Mason and together we went to the cashier to pay for the things. When he saw me, his eyes grew wide but the reaction didn't stay for long though.

He pay the bills and we went on, the shopping bags couldn't fit in the back booth so we had to put some in the front seat and some in the back seat with us.

The ride to the house was a peaceful one, I close my eyes to enjoy the feeling of the breeze fanning my face.
