Worries

Lindsay came up with a plan that will work as long as she puts it in motion, that's what she thought. Early in the morning when everyone was having breakfast, she decided to start with the first phase of her plan.



"Mason, Amaya, I want to apologize for what I did yesterday, I had no idea that Mason was happily married. So I have decided to kill my feelings for him and move on" Amaya didn't know what to say, she just sat on her seat and watch her talk.



"Mason, do you mind me staying here for a bit while I search for a different place to stay?" Mason without thinking about Amaya's opinion agreed, he didn't think that his wife will have a problem with his ex-girlfriend living in the same house with them.



"Where is Lydia by the way? I want to visit her" she said smiling at Amaya, acting like they have known each other for ages.



"Lydia is with my parents, she is living with them"



It is a Saturday so Mason didn't go to work. Amaya left the table without a word after breakfast, she went to Piper's room to spend time with her but the little angel was fast asleep.



Amaya felt like crying, her husband doesn't care about her feelings, and he couldn't even sense the change in her attitude.



She left the room and went to theirs, change her clothes, and decided to go visit her mom. Mason entered the room, he back hug her. He closed his eyes inhaling her fragrance.



"Where are you off to?" He pulled her even closed. Amaya closed her eyes in an attempt to calm her anger, she smiled telling herself that he loves her and that's what matters.



"I am going to my mom's, it's been a while, and I was thinking to spend the day with and brothers" she smiled to cover up the stiffness in her voice.



"Are you okay my love? What is bucking you?" He held her jawline, looking into her eyes. She turns to take her jacket just to avoid eye contact with him.



"I am fine, I am stressed out but I am fine. I need to go, please take care of Piper" she hurriedly left the room to avoid further questions.



When she got to her mom's, she tried to look happy, not wanting to disturb her mother with her problems.



"I have missed you my darling, how is my granddaughter? I hope she is healthy and you are taking good girl of her."



"Yes mom, I am taking good care of her, I couldn't bring her with me because she was sleeping so I didn't want to disturb her." Her mother nodded



"Princess are you okay? What had made you upset?" Bello asked. She felt like hitting him, why did he notice her mood? Why could he understand something Mason couldn't?



"I am fine, I just woke up blue today," she said but Bello knew she was lying, he wanted to know why she was sad.



"What did Mason do?" Blossom asked in a deep voice. Amaya tried to hold her ground but she couldn't, she hugged her brother and burst into tears.



"I am scared, I don't want to lose Mason Blossom, I won't be able to live if he leaves me." She finally said. Her words surprised everybody, they thought he was cheating on her or something.



"Come sit and tell us everything." Her mother gave her a glass of water to help her calm down. "Yesterday when we returned from work," she started "when we got home, there was this girl in our house, she kissed Mason right Infront of me and Mason did nothing, he told me he was too shocked to react. This morning she asked for forgiveness claiming not to have known he was married, she asked to live in the house for some time and Mason accepted without asking if I am ok with it or not. That girl is Mason's ex-girlfriend, she is pretty and slim, I can't compete with that, what if he falls in love with her? I can't help but feel insecure." She sobbed.



"Amaya, Mason loves you, there's no reason to feel insecure. Look I know he should have asked for your opinion before agreeing to her but you can't blame him for thinking you are okay with it, you didn't tell him otherwise. Men don't know how to think sometimes which is why they have us. Give the girl a chance and see if truly she has changed." Her mother said.



"You shouldn't cry princess, you have a child and I know he loves you both. You should have seen how worried he was on the day of your labor, he cared about you more than he did your daughter." Bello said.



Amaya had no idea he cares about her more than he cares for Piper, he always wanted a child so she thought the child was first on her list.



"Stay here for some time, clear your head and go back home. Bello, take her to your room and let her rest."



She slept for a long time, she looked tired. Mason had drained her last night coupled with the stress from work and the fact that she didn't sleep because her head was thinking of 'what ifs'.



Late at around six in the evening, a worried Mason came to the house. He had tried calling her phone but it was unreachable, he thought something had happened to her so rushed to the house.



"Mom good evening" he bowed his head a little giving her respect as an elderly.



"Evening Mason, how are you?" She asked with a smile knowing why Mason had come to visit.



"I am fine mom, is Amaya here? She left the house in the morning saying she was coming here, I have tried calling but her number is not reachable." Amaya's mother took her to Bello's room, she had herself wrapped in a blanket like shawarma.



"She has been sleeping since morning, she looked stressed out, Bello must have switched off her phone." She left the both of them in the room and left.



He got on the bed with her, he watched her sleep so peacefully. He traced her cheek, drawing invisible lines on them, she felt the familiar touch and drew closer to it snuggling into his chest. He happily welcomed her, holding her tight in his hands.
