I didn't expect this
Later that evening, Amaya, Lydia, and Mason were watching a movie. The movie was going great when all of a sudden, Amaya woke up from her seat and went to another, then she stood up and began pacing.
"What is the problem Amaya?" she gave him a deadly glare, her eyes looking angry. "what did I do? I just want to know what the problem is."
"Mason just stops talking." her voice was shaky like she was about to cry. Lydia quietly watch the show before her, her eyes kept darting between the two of them.
"Should I come to you? where does it hurt?" Mason asked with a concerned voice, he stood up but Amaya raised her hand asking him to stop.
"Don't talk, your voice is irritating, don't breathe I don't like the sound of your breathing, you should just leave me alone." she cried, her soft whimpers turned to loud cries.
"What do you mean? Amaya, what is wrong? you are scaring me." Lydia couldn't stop laughing, when will Mason learn to understand a pregnant woman?
"Mason her hormones have kicked in, just let her cool down," she whispered just to his hearing.
"I don't want this, I can't take it anymore." her wailing grew louder, she took a seat and held her head.
"babe just hold things together, just three months left." he tried consoling her but his words made her cry some more, her screams grew so loud that they drew the attention of the workers.
Vanessa came rushing, she has been the one taking care of Amaya, she got worried when she heard her crying.
"Ma'am, are you okay? does it hurt?" concern mar her face, she tried to help her calm down, to stop the tears.
" Van, can you take this baby out of me? I can't take it." she stop crying but the tears didn't stop flowing.
"Ma'am you scared me," she sighed tiredly, she gave her a glass of water to drink and calm down.
"Amaya I know you don't feel like yourself, don't worry because your baby will be out soon," Lydia said after laughing her ass out.
She finally calmed down, her beautiful brown eyes were swollen due to the crying, Mason who had been wishing to be a father for a long time told himself that this will be the last
The next day, things went back to the way it was. Mason went to work, and his assistant in her revealing clothes brought some documents which needed his attention.
"Sir Mason, Mr. Francisco wants you to sign these documents, they are for the agreements you agreed on" he collected the contract, read through it, and pen down his signature.
He didn't pass her a single glance, he sent her back to her office after signing. He made a phone call to his driver,
"By five this evening, come by the company so, I need you to take me somewhere. Yeah, good, I will call you later." he dropped the call and began working.
At exactly five, Mason's driver passes by the company. Mason gave him directions, they pick up Amaya's surprise and head home.
Meanwhile back at home, Amaya kept tossing and turning on the bed she wanted to eat something but it will be hard to get it here unless Mason goes to an African restaurant.
She went downstairs to the kitchen, though she could make it herself, she wanted it to come from a restaurant.
"I wonder why my cravings and tantrums are way too much, I have seen pregnant women but they don't behave like me," she muttered to herself
"What are you doing here Mrs. Campbell?" Lydia asked entering the kitchen, she opened the fridge and took an apple.
"I want to eat okra" she complained in a low voice, with the others she feel sorry for them when her tantrums get out of place but with Mason, she feels no pity.
"There's no reason to fret, we can go to the restaurant down the street." Amaya has seen their okra and it is not like the African way. She wave her hand and said,
"It is not the African way. Say, aren't there any African restaurants close by?" Lydia thought for a while.
"There's one not too far from Mason's office." Amaya thanked her and rush to the room, she took her phone and dialed Mason's number,
"Hello? are you alright?" he asked feeling worried.
"I am fine, can you do me favor? I want to eat okra, can you go to the African restaurant close to your company and get it for me?" she said not caring to know how she is doing.
"Jeez I am fine thanks for asking, about the okra, can't it be cooked at home?" he looked at the people inside the car with him, they were trying so hard not to laugh.
"But I want restaurant food, I feel like you don't care about me." she sniffed, her eyes blurred with unshed tears.
"No don't cry and I care about you honey, I will get you what you want my darling." Amaya thanked him and hung up, the people in the car burst into laughter.
"Laugh all you want, take a turn back, and head to the restaurant." the driver who was trying so hard not to laugh took U-turn back to Mason's Office.
He bought what she wanted and went back home, he told them to wait outside until he tells them to come in.
"Welcome Master Mason" Baron bow his head and took off his coat.
"Ihmm where is Amaya?" he asked looking around.
"I am here, how are you?" Amaya asked, Mason, rolled his eyes, 'women' he thought.
"Here you go, no need to pretend." she giggled and hugged him.
"Baron take that to the kitchen, I have a little surprise for you." she just blinked her big beautiful brown eyes not knowing what to say, all she wants is her okra.
He stood behind, head and shoulders, and yell you may now come in. The door opened and.....
