Beautiful

She held the little naked angel in her hands "isn't she pretty Mason?" She asked her husband who couldn't take his eyes off of the little princess.

"Thank you, Amaya, thank you for gifting me a complete family" he kissed her not caring about the elders in the room. He hugs both mother and child while kissing the mother, he, later on, drops a peck on her tiny little cheek.

The room was filled with joy and laughter, Arabella thanked the heavens for giving her a second chance to become a grandmother even though she has been bad.

"Amaya" she called. The room was silent, not even a single sound could be heard. "I am sorry, it was never my intention to push you down the stairs. I was blinded by my hate that I couldn't see your sincerity, Sophie told me a bunch of untruthful things about you and I didn't verify I just acted without thinking." She said as tears streamed down her face, and held her hands together.

"Aunt it is not your fault, you only wanted what was best for your son. You are a mother and I know you would do anything to protect your child." Her words made Arabella even more guilty.

"Am so sorry for my actions" Amaya wanted to stand my Mason restricted her from doing that, he held her shoulders without saying a word. Amaya can forgive her but he wouldn't, not now at least and for that secretary of his, she should prepare herself.

"It's ok, nothing happened, everyone is safe," she said. Arabella hugged her, her son has found the right woman to spend the rest of his life with.

The baby was cleaned and dressed, and her little hands were covered with stockings, she was covered shielding her from the cold.

Inside her hospital room

"Amaya you haven't eaten since you gave birth and it is not advisable, you have to eat well to feed the baby with healthy breast milk," her mom said looking at her daughter who couldn't take her eyes off of her daughter.

"Mom I am a mother now," she said making her mother laugh "I now have a child though she took her father's physical qualities," she said looking at Mason accusingly.

"It's not my fault my genes are stronger" he boastfully said raising his shoulders "But seriously you should eat" he fed her the spicy dish her mother made.

Amaya was discharged from the hospital, Mason fired Sophie and he made it in a way that she will never get a job anywhere else. Amaya begged him to forgive his mother which he did because he wanted her to be happy.

His mother told him that she had invited his ex-girlfriend and she will be coming here any moment from now.

The baby was named Piper. Piper is a cute baby who doesn't cry unless she is hungry, giving her mother time to rest and recuperate from the stress she went through when bringing her into the world.


Time flies, it has been six months since Piper was born, and the baby is healthy and kicking. There has been no news from Mason's ex-girlfriend which is a good thing.

"Piper stop moving, let me clean your butt," Amaya felt like spanking her butt, she wouldn't stop moving her legs and the annoying part of it is she thought it is a joke so she is laughing.

"Be patient with her, she just wants to play," Mason said, he sat next to them on the bed. Piper being a daddy's girl left her mother and went to her dad. Amaya felt frustrated, she pours her lips making Mason laugh.

"You clean her then," she stormed out of the room.

"Why the long face?" Lydia asked seeing her coming downstairs with an angry face

"Piper likes her dad more than she likes me, it is annoying." Lydia burst into laughter, she laughed so hard that her rips hurt.

"What is funny?" she asked.

"You are, is it a strange thing for girls to be more attached to their fathers than their mothers? For example, I am more attached to my father, I believe even you were like that." Lydia explained. It was true but she won't accept it.

"I have to go, my dad needs me." Mason's parents returned to their home after Amaya was discharged from the hospital.

"Okay, bye" she kissed her goodbye and she left. Amaya went back to the room to meet her husband and daughter.
