It is normal

In the middle of the night when everyone was asleep and the night was cold, I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen "ihm" i turn trying to take in the pain but I couldn't "ahh" I screamed when the pain increased.

"what is wrong?" I heard Mason's worried voice. "where does it hurt?" he asked, but the pain was way too much for me to answer him, I woke up from the bed and that is when I noticed it, the blood stain.

"Mason" I called, he noticed the blood stain and came to my side "my baby" I whispered under my breath, tears spilled out of my eyes. He grab his car keys on the bedstand, before I could blink the fresh batch of tears that had clouded my eyes, Mason pick me up in his hands and dash out of the room.

"it hurts," I cried out, Lydia who had heard me scream came running.

"what happened?" she asked. "Amaya is bleeding, am rushing her to the hospital." Mason said in one go "I'll come with you." she joined us and "please don't let anything happen to my baby please, I can't lose my baby." I kept repeating those words forgetting that the baby is not mine but Mason's.

"nothing will happen to the baby okay" I nod, my hand on my stomach. The pain which had subside some few minutes ago came back in a hundred folds "ahh, it hurts please make it stop." the pain was worst than menstrual cramps, I clutch on Mason's night dress.

We finally got to the hospital and I was laid on a stretcher and the nurse push me to the room, Mason and Lydia were told to wait outside.

The doctor clean the blood and luckily she was a female, she gave me pain reliever. She stepped out so call Mason and Lydia who rushed in, I feel restless cause I don't know what has happened to my baby.

"there is nothing to worry about Mr. and Mrs. Campbell, Mrs. Campbell just spotted, it is normal, I gave her something to ease the pain. But some spotting can be due to complications so I will advise you to not let her stress herself." the doctor talk some more about the dos and don't and he finally left the room.

"how do you feel now? is the pain still there?" Mason asked "no it is not, she gave pain killer." I said referring to the doctor.

"Gosh you scared me there, you should rest Amaya, it is late." Lydia said coming to stand next to me. I nod, laying down on the bed." She pull the cover to my neck.

Both of them decided to crash on the couch which was inside the room, I feel sorry for them, because of me they will have to sleep on the couch which is not comfortable.

"can we ask the doctor to know if I can go home? it will be very uncomfortable for you to sleep there." a smile grace Lydia's lips.

"it is late and not advisable for you to go home now, we will talk to the doctor when the sun shines, don't worry about us, we can manage here for the night." even though she said that, I still feel guilty.

I don't know when sleep took control of me, I woke up when I heard the doctor's voice "Good morning Mrs. Campbell," I yawn, covering my mouth the back of my hand, I look around the room but couldn't find Mason nor Lydia.

"looking for your family? they stepped out for a while but will be back soon. Your fine and free to go, your husband said he will be back to take you home." the doctor said, he left me on my own.

I heard my stomach grumble, am hungry as if the Almighty could hear my prayers, Lydia and Mason came in with food.

"Good morning, how are you doing?" Lydia ask coming to sit on the bed next to me. "am good and you" she touch my stomach rubbing it gently and I let her do it "am fine." she replied.

"you must be hungry, Mason and I went out to get something for you to eat, knowing your appetite, I know you will be hungry ones you wake up." she said.

I ate what they brought for me "the doctor said you can go home," Mason said, he has been silent, the Mason I know is a jerk who doesn't miss an opportunity to taunt me, I thought he would blame me for what happened last night.

We got home "you should go to work." I told him, but instead of him getting prepared for work, he sat next to me on the bed.

"Amaya," he called, I hummed. "let's call a truce, let's live in this house in peace, together let's keep and the baby healthy. You almost scared me to death last night, I want us to work hand in hand, I promise to be good." I wasn't expecting this from him, but I can't deny that he is wrong, if we want to the baby to be healthy then we need to work together, hand in hand.

"let's call a truce, friends?" I stretch out my hand which he took with a smile on his face, something I have never seen. "friends."

Being friends with Mason has been great, he is actually a nice person when you get to know him, he is super caring and nice, though I can't say we've not argued this past few days, arguments is unavoidable and is something which we must happen plus am a stubborn girl and a trouble maker too, but I won't agree to it.

"Amaya have you seen my brown tie? I can't seem to find it anywhere." I rolled my eyes, leaving the comfort of the bed, I walk to the Waldrop and guess what, the tie he was looking for was the first thing I saw, he is so impatient.

I gave him and went back to bed, I miss it already....
