*Chapter 45
Clear View University*

**Yesterday was a** weird day and today was even weirder. Why you may ask, while let me just tell you it sucked. Everybody stared at me the whole day. Then I got the surprise of a father day at school. Now, well now someone from my past is back... Someone I thought I would never see again.

So let me just tell you what happened yesterday then I'll bring you back to today.

*Previous Day*

I opened the door just about to walk out of the house to drive to school and my soul almost leaves my body when I see Nikolai in front of me with his fist in the air as if he was about to knock.

He awkwardly drops his fist and makes a weird awkward grin. I chuckle and raise an eyebrow at him. "Hey," He said after a minute of awkward silence.

"Hey back. What are you doing here?" I asked closing the door behind me. He walked back to the stairs and almost trips when he steps skew. I laughed and he rubbed his neck nervously.

After finding his footing so he doesn't fall he said: "Well I was wondering if you wanted to catch a ride with me?" I looked at where he was pointing to his car.

Slowly I nodded and he smirked. His body relaxes and he nodded. We walk to his car and his opens the door to me. I frowned, "What's going on?"

He sighed leaning against the car door. "Nothing, why do you ask? I'm just opening the door for you like a gentleman."

I rolled my eyes and got in. He closed the door and jogged to his side and got in. I looked at him and said, "You shouldn't be acting weird." I grinned at him. He's been acting sweet and caring very since Silva said I could come home. I remember everything of Nikolai visiting me until after he said he forgave me. After that, he said I fell asleep.

He clears his throat awkwardly "Sorry, I've just never done this before." I roll my eyes and asked, "Done what, drive a girl that can't drive to school?" He chuckles and said, "That and the fact that you're the first girl that I don't ignore after sleeping with her."

I laughed and thought back to the fateful night after the family party. "Don't worry about it. If you stress or act unnaturally people are going to be more curious. And I don't like curious people. That will put attention on me and I can't have that."

Nikolai nodded and the rest of the drive to school was silent.

The crowd in the parking lot looked at his car when we drove in. He parked next to a shocking pink car that Ava was leaning against and I groaned in frustration. Why did he have to park here?

It was like he could read my mind because he said "Sorry but Ava irritates me and it would really help if she thought there was a chance that I was with you." I nodded and we both got out of the car together. It was a bit harder for me because of the sling I once again had on my arm.

You could hear gasps all around the parking lot. I groaned when I saw Ava glaring at me like she was wishing I was dead. I rolled my eyes at her obnoxious and very evident jealousy.

"What the hell is going on here?" She sneered at Nikolai while glaring at me. He walked around the car and dropped his arm around my unharmed shoulder. "Tatiana and I are a something."

Ava frowned when Nikolai placed a kiss on my forehead and I hit him in the stomach with my elbow. He groaned and took his arm from my shoulder. I sighed in relief but I groaned in disappointment when he placed it around my waist and stood on the side of my hurt arm, so I couldn’t punch him without making it obvious and hurting myself.

Nikolai and I walked away and up the stairs to the school entrance door. When we walked down the hall everybody stood still and stared at us with wide eyes and open mouths.

I groaned and growled out loud "What? Have you never seen two people walking down the hall together?" Suddenly everybody went back to doing what they were doing before but stared at us under their lashes.

Olivia popped up out of nowhere scaring me half to death. "Have you guys heard of the father day at school? Everybody gets to bring their dad's to school and talk about how awesome theirs are."

I frowned at her and asked, "Well what about the kids that don't have fathers?" Olivia raised both her shoulders and said "I don't know. They probably just talk about them."

I groaned. Great, talking about my father was the last thing I ever wanted to do. The man was a deadbeat, walk out. I'll just have to make up a story or something. I'm good with lies so I shouldn't have a problem or maybe I could just talk about Silva.

No, that would never work out good. What would I even say? 'Hey, so my dad is a Mafia boss and kills people for a living. He's awesome since he got me out of jail and taught me how to kill people' I thought sarcastically.

I'll just say I don't want to talk about it at all. "When is this day?" I ask Olivia who stood with a grin and raised eyebrows staring at Nikolai's hand that was resting on my waist. I rolled my eyes but said nothing,

"Tomorrow. Oh before I forget, there's apparently Homecoming this Saturday, since the homecoming Game is Friday." I groaned again. Yes dances woo, I thought sarcastically.

Nikolai and I walked down the hall to my locker so I could get my books. After that Nikolai walked me to class and then kissed me a goodbye on the forehead before walking to his class since we missed Home Room.

I was about to walk into the class when a teacher stopped me and said, "Miss Aksakor, the principal would like to see you." I groaned and reluctantly followed her. We didn't wait long because the principal called me into his office the moment we walked in.

I took the seat that he was pointing at. "Let's get straight to business." I nodded not in the mood for any trouble.

"Miss Aksakor, your attendance is too low, if you stay away from school for any more days there is a chance that you would not graduate." I stared at the principle in shock, I never even thought about that. Today was after all my first day back at school after my whole hospital incident.

"You're excused for the time, as Mr. Ferreira called and said you were in the hospital but all the other days. You can't stay home anymore. At least you always had the work in on time but still." I nodded and said, "I understand. I'll try not getting sick or fall off stairs anymore." He grinned and nodded. "You are excused to go to classes, take care of your arm."

By the time I walked out of the office, the first class had already started so I said sorry to the teacher for being late. Mr. Newton nodded and after he was finished with the attendant's list he left the room.

I closed my eyes and laid my head down on the table, waiting for the bell to ring. I heard a throat clear and I blinked my eyes open slowly. Ava was standing in front of me with the 'Glare of the year' on her face. She was tapping her manicured French tips on my table.

"What is it?" I asked not at all really interested. "What are you and Nikolai doing? You think he wants you? Well, he doesn't." I looked at her for a second before bursting into laughter.

"O-oh gosh. What you... ha-ha you actually think ha-ha that he wants you ha-ha. Oh, you crack me up, Ava." I laughed at her face. She growled at me, "Well he definitely does not want to be with you that’s for sure!" she hissed through her clenched teeth. I looked at her with a smirk.

"Is that so? Does he want you? Is that way he spent Saturday night in my bed, Sunday morning making me breakfast and came to my house this morning to offer me a ride even though I have 5 cars and a driver?" That wasn't the whole truth, sure he was with me the last two days but he didn't spend the night in my bed again after the first time.

Her eyes were big and her jaw practically hung on the floor. "What?" I laughed in her face. Suddenly I made an emotionless face at her, turning cold.

"Listen here, bitch... This is not some cliché story where you the queen b gets to chase me away. Nikolai and I, well we're sleeping together. No, we are not a couple. We are not labelling this thing. We are doing this because he wants you to wake up and realize that he doesn't want you at all, so move on."

I heard gasps and that's when I realize that the whole class went quiet. Ava's face turned into a glare again and it looked like she was going to say something when Mr. Newton walked back in. "This isn't over Tatiana." I chuckled "I believe it is."


*Present time*

I leaned against my locker with Nikolai leaning against the locker next to mine. *Beep* "Students, please all report to the Basketball court for the father day at school.”

Nikolai and I groaned before walking, taking our sweet time. We were last to enter so I looked around and saw Olivia waving like a maniac. I chuckled and we walked to her where she had generously kept two chairs open for us.

After we sat down the principle tried calming everybody down and tell us to sit. It took a whole 10 minutes before the court was quite. Principle McLee nodded and talked into the microphone. "Thank you. We are here today for a father’s day. I would like to welcome in all the fathers that have been waiting in the other room. Please enter!"

The door in the back opened and a line of men walked in. The principle was shaking hands of each father. I turned to Nikolai and leaned in to talk in his ear, "Did you invite your father?" Nikolai shook his head and I nodded.

So for 2 hours, we sat there. The principle would call out a father's name and then the father's son or daughter. They would stand there. The child would say something about his/her father then the father would talk.

There were 3 fathers left when the principal called out. "Richard Armando South. His daughter Ava South." I gasped softly. My mind flashed into the past

"Richard Armando South, get your ass in here!" I heard my mother shout. My dad chuckled next to me where we were hiding under my bed. Dad had prank mom and she didn't sound happy at all. He looked at me and put his forefinger on his lips "Shh" I giggled softly.

Nikolai looked at. "What’s wrong?" I shook my head. What was my dad doing here? And what was going on? Ava looked up at my dad with pride in her eyes and he looked down at her with love in his.

"My dad is indescribable. He was missing from my life for a few years but when he came back, he made it up to me. I love my dad." Ava talked in a cheerful voice. For a second I thought how the hell that person standing there could be Ava.

She looked around the bleachers and when her eyes met mine, she glared at me before grinning evilly and looked up at her dad, or should I say, our dad. She whispered something in his ear and his grin slipped into a frown.

Meanwhile Tatiana was looking at her father, Ava was faking everything
Ava looked around the room faking her grin and happiness. She was looking for her face. The bitch that came into Ava’s life, and was now destroying everything. Destroying everything Ava worked for and everything she wanted.

At first, Ava was a happy, sweet little girl when her dad came back. Ava’s mother had told her that her Dad had some problems in his life and he had to sort them out. So he left Ava’s mother before he knew she was pregnant. A few years later, Ava’s Uncle Mike found him and told him about her when she was 10-years-old.

Since then, her father came to visit a lot but he still couldn't stay with them. When Ava was 14-years-old he moved in with them and she was happy. She was the perfect daughter. She was smart and beautiful, always loving and most importantly a daddy's girl.

So you could imagine her surprise when Ava found a photo of another beautiful woman and girl in his wallet one day. Ava didn't say anything to him and slowly started pulling away from him. She asked her mother and she told Ava that, that was his ex-wife and daughter. Ava was mad, beyond mad actually. She always thought she was his only daughter.

Finally, at the beginning of that year, Ava forgot about it. That was until Tatiana came into the school. Ava had forgotten all about the other woman and her sister that her father kept from her. She forgot about the fact that he left her mother to be with another woman and another daughter.

Ava had asked her mother everything about the daughter and had followed and stalked her Facebook page. That was why Ava hated Tatiana so much because she just happened to be the girl in her father's wallet.

Ava hated Tatiana but never thought she could hate Tatiana even more than that. Now she has the guy Ava has been crushing on since primary school. Tatiana just had to take everything Ava cared about away. She took away Ava’s happy childhood and now the love of her life. Ava decided to get revenge. That was why their father was there.

Ava grinned up at him and he whispered: "I'm proud of you sweetheart." She faked her grin even more and whispered in his ear. "Did you know, your other daughter is in this school as well?" The grin on Richard’s face disappeared. "What are you talking about?" He said nervously. "You know, Anne Aksakor South and your daughter Tatiana Aksakor."

Richard looked around nervously and Ava pointed Tatiana out to him. He gasped. "Now talk like nothing is wrong and like she isn't here." He took deep breaths before walking to the microphone. Ava grinned and skipped to the bleacher, taking her seat grinning like crazy.
