Chapter 72
*The Months of being Pregnant*
***Week 11***
**"Fuck man, she** is making me crazy" Nikolai started as he sat next to Gabe on the couch. They each got to tell one friend before later today and Nikolai turned to Gabe.
"Well, what did you expect? Things are going to be worse than just with one baby. You guys are expecting twins." Nikolai sighed and closed his eyes.
"I know, she warned me and I told her to give it her best. But fuck nuggets. Her mood swings and her cravings are so bad. I mean I'm waking up at 1 in the morning because she has a craving for ice cream or gherkins. It's like suddenly she is having ever symptom the book has now that she knows she is pregnant."
Gabe chuckled and turned the TV down, listening to hear if Olivia is up already. "Well, buddy if she is only 11 weeks it means you have about 29 weeks left of this shit. But according to all the research Olivia has done it says that cravings only get worse before they start getting better at about 25 weeks. Mood swings are unfortunately throughout the whole pregnancy."
Suddenly Nikolai started smiling thinking about the last week and a half. Tatiana might be making him crazy but he just loves her more and more every day. Nikolai think of how he couldn’t. Not only is she the love of his life but she is carrying two of his spawns.
Through all this, Tatiana has still become more beautiful. Her breasts are most certainly growing, her skin looks brighter and her hair is becoming fuller. She is really starting to show. She might be using the bathroom more and tired at night but after a well-rested sleep, her estrogens spikes and she is horny as hell.
They had decided together to wait a week before telling everybody. They had a BBQ this afternoon at their house and everybody was going to be there. All their friends, all their family. It was going to be huge.

Tatiana looked at Nikolai and grinned. He knew it was time so they stood up and walked to the front. It was now just after pudding and they decided to tell everybody.
"Friends and Family, Tatiana and I have great news to share. I'd like to ask my mom to come to the front also Grace and Silva."
When the three of them stood next to Tatiana and Nikolai, Tatiana handed them a box they had to open together. In there were two baby outfits folded so they couldn't see properly what it was. Silva took one and Nikolai’s mom took one.
"Please open it up and say out loud what it says."
Silva's read 'Our mommy and Daddy love us.' Nikolai’s mom was different, 'Hello Grandma and Grandpa.'
At first, neither of them said anything but suddenly Tatiana was lifted into the air and hugged tightly but not too tight by Silva. Nikolai’s mom had tears streaming down her cheeks and Grace was smiling like a crazy person.
Nikolai looked at the crowd. "For those of you who could guess, Tatiana and I are expecting. Twins."
The whole crowd hollered and everybody started congratulating us.
***Week 19***
"Nikolai, can you hurry, please. It's our first Ultrasound test together."
He came rushing down the stairs skipping a few steps. "Come on love." We walked out to the car and drove to our OBGYN's office where we would be taking our second ultra test.
It would be the first time Nikolai saw the babies properly and he couldn't be more excited about anything in his life. Around now you could clearly see the baby bump and he always liked laying a hand on the bump when we were laying anywhere together. He seriously couldn't take his hand of the bump.
The drive was sort because he only lived 3 blocks away. We always went to his private office instead of the one in the city.
Things progressed quickly and soon I was already on the table as the doctor rubbed the gel on my belly. When the heartbeats sound come through, Nikolai turned into a mess. He was grinning and I could swear I saw a tear, but I decided to say nothing.
"All right, according to this, you are a full 19 weeks. The babies are each about the size of a mango. The right one is 5.5 inches long weight at 8 ounces, while the left on is about 6.0 inches long and 8.5 ounces. You are a whole 4 months and one week pregnant, meaning you have already entered your second trimester a month ago."
He studied the ultrasound further and nodded. "Okay well, unfortunately, we can only see one baby's sex as the other one is facing away. Would you like to know?" I looked at Nikolai before back to the doctor.
"Do you think there is something we can do to turn the other baby? We'd like to know both sexes."
The doctor shook his head, "I'm sorry there isn't anything I could..." I cut off his words with a painful groan. It felt like I was being pushed and I started feeling nauseous.
The doctor laughed and looked at us. I glared at him and so did Nikolai.
"That was only the start, Mrs. Moretti, it seems your babies want you to know. The one just turned." Nikolai and I both grinned at the screen. I wanted to touch my stomach so much but with the gel, I decided to wait.
"You want to know?" We excitedly nodded our heads. He looked at turned his head to the left. "Okay before I say anything, what do you hope it is?"
Nikolai decided to answer, "We'd be happy no matter what, but I always dreamed of having a boy first so he could protect our little girl." I nodded with him and we waited for the doctor.
"Well, it looks like your dreams are coming true because according to the scan, the left baby is a boy and the right baby is a girl."
Silently Nikolai stared at the screen before placing a kiss on my forehead. The OBGYN printed the scans before wiping off the gel. The first thing Nikolai did was kiss my bump and grinned. "Hello babies, it's your daddy here. I just want to say I already love you both so much.
After the doctor filled my prenatal vitamins he told us what to expect in the next few weeks. "I'd like to see you guys at 30 weeks, then again around 33 weeks. As you get closer to birth we will decide if I want to see you one more time. With twins, there is a probability of giving birth around 35 weeks."
After we got home we placed the ultrasound in the baby folder. I printed this week's photo and also placed it into the 19th-week page. I printed two pictures, one saying it's a girl and another saying it's a boy. I tapped those two pictures to the front of the photo album.
***Week 30***
Nikolai was starting to get nervous. The thought of there being 2 mini-them in the house within the next month and a half finally kicked in.
The nursery was already prepped and fully furnished
They were already at the OBGYN's office and he said everything was looking good. The babies each were the size of a Zucchini. Not that Nikolai even knew how big that was.
Nikolai knew Tatiana was getting uncomfortable and restless with the fact that she could hardly walk or bend. Most night's he found her crying in front of a mirror as she looked at her body. She kept on saying things about how she is as big as a whale and that she couldn't do this anymore. That is was time for the babies to come out.
Tatiana also refused to go outside anywhere unless it was the OBGYN's office.
According to the doctor, everything was on track but the babies were most diffidently coming out early January, around the 7th. When Tatiana is about 35 weeks. The babies were both around 15 inches and weighs about 3 pounds each.
Tatiana was having a lot of symptoms, like heartburn which she couldn't help much because it was caused by greasy food but that was all she was craving. She had trouble sleeping and she was swelling all over.
After little exercises, she would be out of breath, for example just walking down or up the stairs. They had decided to move their room downstairs so she wasn't in danger by taking the stairs.
Tatiana was also having a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions, which could be seen by the hard and tightness of her belly. Things around here were getting pretty tense because she would snap at every little thing.
Nikolai was trying his best to stay calm so when things got heated between them, he would go over to Gabe's for a while so they both could calm down. Nikolai didn't want her to stress too much because it could cause premature contractions and they wanted to avoid that for as long as possible.
Much to Tatiana's dismay, she had already picked up around 35 pounds and she was not happy about it at all. Both the babies’ heads were still up and there were about one and a half pints of amniotic fluid.
The doctor said he would like to see them once a week from now on because he ordered a biophysical profile and wants to take an NST as well every week.
***33 Weeks***
It was the first time I was out of the house in 2 Months. Grace had turned up this morning and ordered me to get my ass up off the bed because we are going walking. After a screaming match between the two of us, I gave up when I started feeling stress contractions.
I was also after all bored of sitting at home doing nothing. Nikolai and I were sort of avoiding each other because every little thing caused us to start to fight. I was just unbelievably glad he would walk away so we could both calm down. I remember that this morning was better.
Usually, we would greet each other before getting as far away as possible. But this morning was different. We woke up in each other's arms. We made sweet slow love, showing that even though things have been hard between us we still loved each other. We showed that no matter what we were there for each other.
We showered together and he washed my body, placing thousands of kisses all over my body as he washed it. He talked to the babies and we felt them kick whenever we talked to them. He whispered promises of how things will be okay when the babies are here. That some things will go back to normal.
We said goodbye when he left for work with kisses and hugs, he whispered he loved me and I whispered it back. Things were hard between us but sometimes, like today, things would be good, really really good.

My normal senses were a lot slower than usual but after catching the same car following us for the last 2 blocks I started getting nervous. Acting like nothing was wrong I pulled Grace into the nearest Convention store.
The car stopped a few meters from the door. "Grace is Silva having us followed." She was preoccupied but shook her head and mumbled no. I stared at the car and when the person driving obviously figured out that we caught them they got out.
"Grace, I need you to call Silva, right now! We're being followed and I think they figured out that we know now."
This snapped her out of the trance and she pulled me to the back of the store, dialling Silva's number.
She was talking to him speedily in Italian but I wasn't focusing. My eyes followed the person that just walked into the store. He didn't look suspicious so when he walked to the right of the store, I pulled Grace's arm and speedily walked out of the store.
He probably didn't see us out because we walked around the corner and I didn't see him following us. I had to protect all four of us.
I could see Silva's car rushing down the road. I thought we were safe, but it was at that moment I heard 5 gunshots fired.
The pain in my shoulder, leg, and chest proved that I had been shot. I dropped to the ground and held out my hand to protect my stomach.
I saw Grace next to me bleeding out from her stomach. She groaned and whispered. "Stay with me. We need to stay awake." But it was fruitless; I could feel my eyes shut when I heard another set of gunshots.
