Chapter 49
*Chapter 49
Clear View University*
**"Olivia?" I turned** my head to look at Liv. "Yeah," She leaned her head looking my way. We were both leaning against our lockers, bored out of our minds. We had a free period because our teacher couldn't come to school today. "Do you think that me dating Nikolai makes me some sort of type of cliché. Or does it make me look less Bad Girl?"
I'm admitting it. I'm conflicted about our relationship. I was supposed to be the bad girl that didn't fall for the bad boy and now the year is almost over, it's only been a few months since we had met and suddenly we're dating.
The worst part is that I actually like him. "Honest answer?" I just nodded my head. I didn't really know if I wanted the answer. "Not really." I looked at her questioningly.
"Well, it seems nothing like a cliché. It always the good girl falling for the bad boy and you're no good girl." I smile a bit feeling better almost instantly. "Which brings me to my second point," Liv said. I mentally groaned.
"It doesn't make you less a bad girl. It makes you a bad girl with a soft spot of only one person and that's a good thing." Okay, so I wasn't really happy with that last sentence. If I have a soft spot for someone that means I have a weak-spot for someone to attack me with. That means I'm vulnerable and that puts both Nikolai and me in danger.
"And before you go stressing all out- and don't even deny it, it's all over your face –it's a good thing to have a weakness. If you didn't, you'd be alone forever; you would have nothing to fight for." I sighed out loud. So maybe Olivia was right. I'm just going to let it go and see where the road takes us. I just nodded my head letting her know I'm thinking about it.
"Well-well look what the cats dragged in." I looked up from the floor and rolled my eyes. Ava stood in the hall with her dumb and dumber followers. They were carrying her bags well she stood with her hands on her hips.
Her outfit didn't really surprise me since it was the same as always. Her shirt 2 sizes too small and her skirt reaching under her butt with black heels that made her look 5'9. Although she was only 5'3
"Ah, the unwanted has arrived Liv." I chuckled well looking at Ava. I sarcastically bowed down and said in a British accent "Well what can I do for you, Your Royal Slut?"
Ava looked down at me from her nose like she was everything. "You might have gotten me the other day." I raised my eyebrow and looked at her confused.
"With my father, you moron. Oh and the whole Nikolai shebang. He's just toying with you, you know. I give it a week before he says that even a relationship with no labels with you is enough and he'll come crawling back."
A crowd has formed around us and everybody was snickering. I chuckled with them and smiled at her with my sweetest smile. "Oh sweetie, have you not been on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, My space, Line or any other social media in the last 24 hours?"
"No, I haven't. There hasn't been anything interesting on. Unless, did you and Nikolai already break up- not that you were dating, to begin with," I actually tossed my head back and laughed. The type of laugh that comes all the way from your stomach and that actually makes your stomach ache. When I stopped I wiped the laughing tears away and clapped my hands.
"Maybe you should go check it out." Ava rolled her eyes and flipped her phone open. It wasn't even 2 minutes before she screeched. "He asked you to the formal... and then to be his girlfriend?" She hasty looked through the photos that Nikolai posted on every social media platform he had.
It was so sweet when I saw the posts this morning. He had paid a professional photographer to take pictures without me knowing and it was hard to believe that I didn't realize it until he showed me the post. Plus the message he wrote with the post was so adorable.
He posted the photo where I was in his arms and we were kissing. Under the picture, he wrote 'To the girl I thought I'd never have. It felt great waking up this morning knowing that you are mine. Thanks for the impact you have had on my life. I hope we last forever because you make my heart beat faster then I think is healthy.'
Ava licked her lips angrily and clenched her jaws. For a second I thought I saw her eyes glass over with tears. "What? Can't handle the truth, Ava? Nikolai and I are together and he doesn't want to be with you. So move on Ava. We all know you only wanted him because you couldn't have him."
Olivia and I walked away because just then the bell rang. As I walked past her I bumped into her shoulder and saw her quickly wipe a tear away.
I tapped my foot impatiently. The end of the school bell had to ring in 1 minute but it felt like forever. Since this morning I hadn't seen Ava at all. Fortunately, I did see Nikolai and he had made me laugh and smile the whole day.
He also kept bugging me on coming with me when I asked Olivia to go dress shopping with me. "Liv, are we still on for shopping this afternoon." Olivia nodded and grinned. Nikolai however pouted and said, "Can I come with babe?" I laughed and shook my head "No, you can only see me again before tomorrow night when you pick me up from my house."
I mentally laughed just thinking about it. Finally, the bell rang and Olivia and I jumped up from our seats and rushed to my car. I wasn't as excited as she was about the shopping but I was excited. I was just happier to get out of that school but I wouldn't tell Olivia that and ruin her good mood.
When we arrived at the mall Olivia jumped out and looked at me. Her eyes were sparkling with excitement and happiness. "Okay, so our stops are: Forever 21, Victoria Secret, Ladies in black, Girls in Lace, Shoe hub and Dream Create." I groaned out loud.
We walked into Forever 21 and looked around the whole place. We each had tried on like 5 dresses but none looked good so we dressed back into our clothes and walked out. That was a serious bust. I had hoped we would get something and go home but looks like we have a long shopping trip ahead of us.
Next was Victoria secret. They didn't really have dresses so we looked at things we could wear under our dresses and other clothes. We both chose 4 each and got dressed in then and showed each other. We ended up liking all of them and decided to take them.
Next stop was Girls in Lace. We just looked around because we were just going to buy something here if we didn't get anything at Victoria Secret. We looked around and saw the Jewellery section. I chose an ankle bracelet that was silver with a blue charm in the middle and a silver almost plain one as well.
I looked at the rings and chose a silver crown which looked beautiful and then I chose a pair of bracelets that would look perfect with everything. After Olivia chose her things we paid and walked out and all the way to the other side of the mall to the Shoe Hub.
Shoe Hub had the best shoes in all of Clear View Point. They could literally get any type, colour, and size in anything you wanted but it was pricey, that I'd tell you. Olivia and I divided and she looked around for shoes. I took a basket with me when I saw an amazing pair of turquoise Nike sneakers. I placed them in the basket and looked around.
When I went to pay I had chosen the sneakers, a pair of dark blue 6-inch heels, three black 5-inch heels, a red pair of 5-inch heels and one purple, turquoise, and white 6-inch heels. I had chosen those since I didn't know what dress I'd choose and I knew that one of these had to work and if they didn't, I'd always have shoes at home.
We quickly headed to the store next door to look for makeup and hopefully find dresses. Unfortunately, they only had make-up. Olivia and I quickly chose make-up and walked to the till. "What the hell are we going to do now? I mean we have been to every place in the mall that would have great dresses and none of them had." Olivia sighed in frustration and looked upset.
"We could always go to my house and see what I have there?" Olivia nodded still not looking remotely happy. We put the bags away, got into the car and drove to my house. "Look, Olivia, I'm sure we'll find something and if we don't we'll go to some boutiques, where I have some friends." Olivia finally smiled and we quickly got out of the car after I stopped it and one of the butlers went to park it after someone helped us carry the bags out of my car.
When we walked into my room I dragged Olivia into the closet and walked to the back. I took out a key from under one of the shoes and opened the wall by entering the key into the top corner.
The door opened and Olivia gasped and walked into the secret room. This was supposed to be a hideout room if something happened but when I saw all the dresses and everything girly thing hanging in the back of my closet I placed them all in this room.
"Olivia you are the first and the only person that will ever know about this room." Olivia giggled and nodded her head excitedly. "Go pick any 4 dresses."
She nodded and skipped around the room looking for dresses. I walked the other way around and looked at all the dresses. Grace had hoped that maybe I still had a girly side so she bought and let them custom make these dresses. The dresses in this room were one of a kind, only one design ever made.
I wanted something beautiful, something that would make Ava jealous and something that will blow Nikolai off his feet. Olivia and I stayed in the room for an hour before coming out with 4 dresses each.
I chose one red, one turquoise, one purple, and one white-colour dress. The red one sat tight all over and started spreading out after reaching my thighs, other than a red x on the back it was open.
The cream dress was floor length with a slit reaching high on my thigh, it had glitter all over and instead of straps it had a string in the back that formed a choker around the neck. One of the turquoise dresses was mid-length and had silver in it with no straps. The last dress was a purple floor length dress that had a white lace over the chest design, the dress was pretty simple other than the left shoulder strap.
Olivia had one purple, one green, one red and one gold dress. Her purple dress was floor length and had an open design from her hips up; you could see most of her back and stomach. The green dress was a beautiful open back design with a slit on her right leg; the chest had silver rhino stones.
The red dress was floor length in the back and reached her thighs in the front with a beautiful beaded piece on the top. Her last dress was gold with a slit that reached her thigh, other than the slit it was floor length with a tray in the back; all over the dress was gold sparkles.
We got dressed and then rated each other's dress so we could pick the best one and I had to say –Even if it means I sound girly- 2 things! Number one Olivia had great taste in dresses and number two I was kind of –not that I would admit it out loud- excited about tomorrow.
Finally, after another 2 hours of dressing and re-dressing, we had decided what we wanted to wear. I couldn't wait for Gabe to see Olivia and for Nikolai to see me. I wondered what his reaction will be.
"Hey, Olivia do you have Lila's number?" Olivia looked at me and then frowned, biting her lip "The Dance committees head?" I nodded and she looked down at her phone. "Let me check... yes I do." I smiled and nodded "Send it to me. I need to talk to her about tomorrow."
My phone pinged and I quickly added Lila's number and looked at the time on my phone, 17:49. Hmm, it wasn't too late to call. I pressed the green phone button on my phone and called her. After 5 rings she finally answered.
"Lila here," I smirked "Hey Lila, its Tatiana. We go to the same school." I heard a giggle on the other side "Hey, yeah I know who you are. What can I do for you?" She replied in a friendly voice. "Well can we maybe meet somewhere tonight or early tomorrow? It's about tomorrow night."
"Uhm yeah sure. I'm actually at the LeDe Coffee shop now if you want to meet?" I smiled "Yeah, I actually live close. Give me let say 10 or 15 minutes to get there. See you now." I hung up and looked at Olivia.
"I'm quickly going out. Won't be long, I need to talk to Lila. Just make yourself at home!" Olivia nodded and jumped on my bed. I chuckled at her while I left the room and walked outside to my car and drove to LeDe Coffee.
When I arrived there Lila was waiting so we quickly sat down at a booth and I talked to her about renting the school roof. 15 minutes later I pay for our coffee and thank Lila for her help. She walked out and I stood up to walk out when I bumped into a chest. I looked up to meet the eyes that belonged to my father.
"Richard."
