Chapter 26-- Made in Fire

Dean locked the door after he settled me on the bed. Dean and I had been intimate once and it was special and frightening. I didn’t think about what it would be like the second time. Kissing him wasn’t as daunting as I thought it would be. I characterized him as aggressive in bed, but that first time he was gentle.
“Layla.” He said softly. “What are you worried about?”
I opened my mouth to speak, but the words wouldn’t fall out. I couldn’t tell him I worried about how inexperienced I was for him and how I wasn’t ready for his brand of sex if it was rough.
He settled next to me and ran his hand down my thigh. I noticed the swell in his crotch and sucked in a breath. He kissed the back of my neck and squeezed my thigh.
“You have no idea how much I want you.” He growled.
“I think I do.”
“I’ll be gentle.” He chuckled.
“No…” I put some distance between us so I could look him in the eye. He raised his brow. “I want you to be you. Show me how you like it.”
He brushed hair out of my face, “You sure?”
I nodded, “Show me.”
He nodded. He settled his gaze on the hem on my shirt or his shirt. He pulled it over my head. I covered my breasts as soon as I did Dean pried my hands off them.
“Nah, I want to see.”
I blushed. He made me stand and remove my leggings. I stood in front of him in lace underwear. He rose slowly and pulled me close. His hand traveled from my shoulder blade down to the small of my back before cupping my ass.
“On the bed. Bend over.” His voice was low yet commanding.
I crawled on the bed with a racing heart. He stood behind me and placed his hand on my neck. I swallowed. He shoved my neck down and elevated my ass.
“Uh,” I gasped. He pressed my face on the mattress.
“Keep your ass elevated.”
His belt buckle came undone and his zipper opened. Dean’s palm connected with my ass. I gasped and gripped the covers. The pool between my legs threatened to seep through my folds.
“Fuck.” He groaned.
I couldn’t wait anymore. I was thirsty, horny and on fire.
“Dean now.” What was he waiting for?
A bang jolted me away from Dean. I grabbed the pillow and clutched it to my chest. I blushed fiercely and buried my face in the pillow.
“What the fuck!?” Dean blasted.
“Your Highness?”
“What the fuck do you want? How fucking important is it?”
Dean had stripped out of his jeans and tossed his shirt. He had his cock in his hand and a death glare aimed at the door.
“We need you’re your Highness. There’s been a disturbance at the South boarder.”
Dean tipped his head back and groaned.
“I’ll be there.”
He approached me. He placed his hand on the back of my neck and the other on the back of my thigh. He pulled me close and pulled me on his lap.
“I’m sorry.”
I groaned, “So annoying.”
He chuckled, “I’ll make it up to you. We’ll get out of here.”
I pressed my lips against his. “It’s okay I get that you have responsibilities.”
He kissed me again. “You’re my priority.”

“Layla, you’re not going to try to train again, are you?” Sam asked.
I sighed, “I’m not going to sit around in my room all day.”
“You can shop or take care of the castle menu.” Ginger smirked.
“Please, what I really want to do is get rid of those ridiculous outfits the omegas wear.” I crossed my arms over my chest.
“No, don’t do that. I like them.” Ash laughed and Sam snickered.
Ginger growled at him, “Get rid of those stupid outfits.”
“Only if you let me train.” I smiled.
“Fine, but no one goes wolf. Last thing we need is to get on Dean’s bad side.” Ash said.
“You can sign up over there then get changed.” Sam said.
I grinned and skipped to tiny army green tent. I was given a black uniform to change into and told to meet the others out in the field. Bane was in charge. He eyed me once over as I strolled to the back of the line. He didn’t say anything though.
“Simple evasive maneuvers. There are situations we can’t shift especially when humans are around. We have to fight like them. Sometimes evading the blow is better than giving the blow. Pair up.”
Ash and Ginger paired up, Sam was snatched by a short she-wolf. I was stuck with a guy about Ash’s height with dark brown eyes that they almost seemed black.
“Hi,” I said.
“First punch,” Bane called.
No response came from my partner. He aimed for my head. I dunked under him. I aimed for his abdomen, he dodged me gracefully. He was faster than me and more focused. I chose the wrong partner. I tripped and he landed a blow to my back. I bit my tongue to keep from screaming.
“Wrap it up,” Bane ordered.
“Okay, slow down,” I said, starting to get dizzy.
“Hybrids don’t slow down.”
His fist landed on my cheek sending me flying backwards. I heard my name being yelled before I hit the back of my head on a rock. I didn’t hold back the cries then.
“Layla? Are you okay?” Sam reached me first.
“Let’s get her to the tent,” Ash said.
The fussing turned to murmurs and my vision blurred. I clutched my head. Everything was spinning. Smoke filled my nostrils, but my vision was so poor I couldn’t source the fire. Then the screaming.
“No, not again,” I whined.
“Layla?” Sam’s voice was distant.
Everything was on fire. The houses, the ground. There was so much smoke it obscured the stars in the sky. I watched as my parents helped get people inside their homes. My mother, a fierce warrior dove into battle. Everything came flooding back as tears broke through the cage.
My voice echoed in my mind. “Dad… I love you.” Before his black wolf dove into a battle he could never win.
