Power Surge

“Are you cold?” Dean asked as he kissed the curve down to my hip.
I dipped my head back and grinned. I gripped the cage bars for support. I would need it.
“Thinking of backing out?”
He smacked my bottom. “Of course not.”
Dean pressed his body against mine. He kissed my neck making me go all warm inside. “Don’t worry, Little Wolf I’ll be gentle.” He said in my ear.
“But you might want to hang on.”
I nodded. I spread my legs as butterflies fluttered in my empty stomach. Dean massages my vagina, running his fingers through my folds and up to my anus. I shivered. I wasn’t ready for that.
When he stopped with the deadly tease I sucked in a breath because I knew what was coming. The tip of his cock slid down to my entrance. Once against disturbing my anus, making me nervous.
Dean grunted with satisfaction before he smashed us together and squeezed my breasts. I moaned softly. I didn’t want anyone to see us. Maybe expect Gabe. Then he could get the hint.
“Dean… come on.”
“Can’t wait, Little Wolf?”
“Don’t be a tease.”
He barked out a laugh. “You’re the biggest tease I know.”
Moan softly flew out the window when Dean ploughed his cock into me. I gripped the bars and shook violently as Dean thrust into me. Something about my mate is he loved to pound me. His nails dug into my hips.
“Dean!”
“Let everyone hear, Little Wolf. How much the Alpha loves his mate.”
I pressed my forehead against the cold metal. Dean’s grunts got louder as his thrusts got deeper. I felt it all; pain, love, exhaustion and pleasure. Dripped down the side of my head. Exhaustion came with every brain melting orgasm.
Dean span me so my back was pressed against the cage. He looked into my eyes for a second before his lips crashed on mine. Exhaustion and pain were taken over by an overwhelming love and passion. I believed I dropped something or I threw something in the air like fireworks.
“What was that?” I gasped.
Dean picked me up and wrapped my legs around his waist. “That was us.”
“What?”
His cock slipped inside me. I groaned and pressed my forehead into his neck. The sound of skin smacking skin could be heard for miles. Dean groaned and jerked forward. He thrust into me a few times before he grunted a few times and went limp. He kept me in his arms.
“Little Wolf?”
“Yes, Big Wolf?”
“No, we’re not doing that.”
He set me down. I wobbled but he grabbed my elbow to keep me steady. We lay on the grass and stared at the stars. I frowned something in the air felt fizzy and smelt like blueberry and strawberry mix.
“What is that smell?”
Dean chuckled. “Want to take a guess?”
“It would be the strangest sewage I’ve never smelt.”
“It wasn’t that bad, mate. It was us. It’s called a power surge.”
“I never heard of that in my pack.”
“It’s not something you go around talking about. It’s something you see because it’s happened. When two powerful wolves mate in the open it can cause a power surge.”
“I don’t think I’m that powerful Dean. I haven’t trained for months.”
“Mate, you healed me and your friend. You took on a pack of Dare wolves. I think there’s something about the type of wolf you are that we don’t know. I’m intrigued.”
“But you don’t want anyone to know?”
“No one.” His eyes narrowed. “You can’t trust anyone.”
***
“Hey, Little Wolf.”
I turned around to find Lyle holding an empty tray. “What’s up?”
“We’re running out of food and drinks and the party doesn’t seem to be lighting up. Could you…”
“I’ll take care of it fine.”
He winked and walked off. A part of my luna duties that weren’t too much to handle. Dean was out mingling. I smiled and walked to the castle. The hired servants had left an hour ago and it was just the castle’s workers on hand now. Since Dean and I vanished more people showed up. I guess the pack people needed something to take their minds off the Dare pack.
“I hope there’s food left,” I mumbled as I walked in the kitchen.
A woman placed tiny sandwiches on a big tray.
“Is that all that’s left?” I asked.
She straightened her back and glanced over her shoulder for a second. My heart slammed forward and shook my head.
“Unfortunately… oh my—” the tray in her hand clattered on the floor. The sandwiches bounced off in different directions.
I took a step back. The girl with pale green eyes gawked at me. Silence passed between us. Her oval faced felt like a song I knew but whose lyrics I didn’t know. Her hands trembled as if she saw a phantom.
“Who— what?” I shook my head.
“Layla?” Her voice cracked.
“Who are you… Cora?” My hand wrapped around my throat.
An image of Cora with long wavy chestnut hair flashed before my eyes. Her hair had been cut into a bob with a side fringe. We both remained glued to the spot, too scared to make a move.
“How?” My voice rasped.
“How? You tell me.” She laughed as tears filled her eyes. “I thought you were dead.”
A tear rolled down my cheek. “I thought I was the last one. Everyone’s supposed to be dead.”
Finally, Cora closed the gap between us and pulled into her arms. Her grip was tight just like a beta wolf. She always did have a powerful grip.
We sat on the kitchen chairs after drying our tears. The food I’d been sent to get now seemed like the least important thing on earth. We now had less of the food that was available.
“We’re so far from home, huh?” Cora sniffled.
I nodded, “I don’t even remember how to get back. I need to.” I gripped her hand. “I need to find it.” I whispered.
“You don’t mean…” She looked over her shoulder. “How do you know the scum that destroyed our pack didn’t take it?”
“Well, I hope not. I wasn’t sure about how to get it but now that you’re here you can help me. Our pack’s purpose was to protect that stone and my dad did that until his dying breath.”
Cora gripped my hand, “He was so brave. I’m just worried. I can’t bear to see my home like that but it’s our duty. Then what Layla? What are you going to do with the stone?” She whispered the word stone.
Dad always said many didn’t know of the Goddess’ tear and if they did they would come after it. Not all packs were governed by those with the best intentions. Somehow the Dare pack found out about us and they destroyed us. I needed to find it for my parents who lived to protect it and died to save it.
“I’ll protect it.”
“You think the Alpha King’s going to let you keep it?”
“Yes, Dean’s a good guy. He would understand.”
“Don’t be so sure Layla. I heard he’s a ruthless King with a dark past.”
I swallowed the lump in my throat. I shouldn’t have but I asked anyway. “What did you hear?”
She glanced over her shoulder for a second time since we met. “He’s been in contact with something or someone from the underworld. Apparently, that’s how he became King. I don’t know if it’s true.”
“Yeah, it’s a rumour. We need his help anyway—”
“Where could she have gone? Oh, there she is.” Dean and Gabe walked into the kitchen.
Cora and I rose instantly. Dean watched with curiosity while Gabe lifted his chin and leaned against the counter. His eyes never left me. His gaze sent shivers up my spine. I didn’t want to be under his microscope.
“Alpha,” Cora bowed.
Dean nodded in response.
“See, she’s making friends.” Gabe said.
Dean eyed me expectantly.
“This is Cora,” I said quickly. “From my pack.”
“Didn’t you say your pack was destroyed and everyone was killed?” Gabe never could stop with the accusations.
“Yes,” I lifted my chin. “And it’s the truth.”
“We’re the last of our pack. Somehow we managed to escape.” She glanced at me then back at Dean.
How did Cora escape?
“Mate, are you sure? You’re only just getting your memories back.”
“That doesn’t mean I’m crazy and make up things. I remember her!”
Dean ran a hand down his face. “Yes, you’re not crazy. I want you to be sure.”
“I’m sure. Layla was the beta’s daughter and I’ve never met anyone with eyes like hers. We’re from the same pack.” Cora urged.
Gabe grumbled and grabbed his brother’s shoulder. They walked out together. Dean shouted before his voice went quiet a second later. Cora pulled me away from the door.
“You don’t remember the invasion?”
“I remember it all. There are gaps in my memory.”
“So… you don’t remember what happened when we got captured?”
“Captured?” I gasped.
She nodded her eyes going wide. Dean marched back in.
“Mate.”
“We’ll talk tomorrow. How do I find you?”
She shrugged, “I work here.”
I followed Dean and said bye to Cora. Cora and I grew up together. I had a piece of my pack. The legends and traditions wouldn’t die after all.
“Are you sure this girl isn’t an imposter?” Dean hissed.
“I am. Geez, have a little confidence in me. I need her.”
“You have me!”
“You can’t tell me where my pack is located.”
“It’s a waste land what could you possibly want there?”
“I—” I bit my lip. “There’s something important there.”
“Like what?”
“I can’t tell you. Not right now.”
He frowned. “Don’t you trust me?”
