Brooding Alphas
I nibbled on my nails as Gabe drove us back to the castle. I didn’t cheat. I saved his brother. Two didn’t things.
“Will you relax,” Gabe laughed.
“Relax? How!”
“I’m fine and I was almost killed by hybrid venom.”
“I shouldn’t have kissed you.”
“You know if you didn’t I would have died.”
“I know,” I whispered.
Gabe drove into the castle. I saw Ginger walking towards the castle from the field. On top of Dean to worry about I had to worry about Kenzie.
“What are you doing?!” I screeched.
“My shirt’s ruined.” Gabe pulled his shirt over his head and tossed it in the backseat.
His wounds had completely healed. Not even a memory of the claw marks that nearly took his life. I wanted to run my fingers down his abs but snapped out of it quickly.
“Look,” Gabe turned to me, giving me a full view of his clean abs. “We don’t have to talk about Dean knowing about our kiss.”
“He already knows,” I said.
“Exactly.”
“And Kenzie?”
His face fell.
“You’re going to tell her right?”
“It’s a no-commitment relationship. She won’t care anyway.”
What was he delusional? I needed to make my grand escape from this car and change my shirt. I didn’t need evidence until I was prepared to come clean. I popped out of the car before another word was said.
“Layla! What about your stuff?” Gabe yelled.
“Take care of them,” I yelled back.
I bumped into Ginger in the foyer. I hugged my middle where Gabe’s blood was immediately.
“Sorry— Are you glowing?”
Heat rushed to her face. She tugged a strand of hair behind her ear.
“I took a shower why won’t it go away?” She hissed.
She grabbed my arm and dragged me to the hollow space under the stairs so no one could see us.
“Everyone’s been staring at me. They know!”
“Oh my gosh! This is great.”
“Quiet. It’s weird. I never felt like this with Ash…”
“Because Ash wasn’t your fated mate.”
She pressed her lips and frowned. “Who told you that?”
“I… doesn’t matter. It’s true and this is awesome.”
“I guess I couldn’t fight the mate bond forever, huh?”
I smiled. Sam held out hope for them. He did everything to make sure she was happy and safe. Now he finally had her.
“There’s more,” Ginger said.
“More?”
She nodded. “We want to have our mating ceremony. You know… make things permanent.”
“Oh… Ginger.”
She threw her arms around me and squeezed. I forgot about my bloody shirt and hugged her back.
“It feels so right,” she pulled back. Her facial features recoiled. “What happened to your shirt?”
I hugged my middle again. “Nothing, I have to change. We’ll talk about the ceremony later.”
I ran upstairs. Dean’s scent swept through the air.
“Shit.”
He lived here so it could mean he walked through here. My theory was proven wrong when I heard his footsteps. I wasn’t fast enough. Dean grabbed me in the hall, two doors away from our bedroom and pinned me against the wall. His arm pressed above my head, forcing me to lower a notch. His face was inches from mine with a devious smirk. My heart threatened to leap out of my throat.
“Little Wolf,” he dragged out the words.
“Dean,” I gasped.
He caressed my bottom lip with his thumb. “You’ve been naughty, huh?”
“Stop.” I pushed his chest but he only stepped in front of me, trapping me against the wall and him. “It wasn’t like that!”
“I know you kissed Gabe. Did you enjoy it?”
“What? No! I was trying to save him. I did save him!”
“Come on baby, admit it. It was good.”
Gabe appeared to my right. He snatched my chin and made me face him.
“What?!” I yelled.
“She’s got a nice pair of lips, brother,” Gabe said, toying with my lips the same way Dean did.
“That’s only part of it,” Dean chuckled.
“You told him? You didn’t give me a chance to talk to him,” I yelled at Gabe.
Gabe lifted a shoulder lazily. “I didn’t say a thing.”
“You’re my mate Little Wolf. I know things as simple as when you’re in heat. I knew the second you kissed him that it was Gabe.”
“How?” I demanded.
I knew the mate bond told him I kissed someone else it gave him the name of the person too. I never heard of that.
“It’s… never mind that. Had fun?”
“He was dying Dean.”
“I would have died a happy man if it didn’t work,” Gabe laughed.
“Has anyone told you too how annoying you are?”
“Sometimes,” Dean replied.
Trapped between the brothers I didn’t know if they would let me pass or if they wanted me vulnerable between them. It was kind of hot to have two dominant Alphas watch me with hunger and desire. I snapped out of it. They were brothers. They couldn’t share. I would end up broken in two like the toys they fought over as kids.
I peeled away from the wall and scurried into my room.
“That did not just happen,” I exhaled.
I pulled off my shirt at the same time Dean walked in. I couldn’t face him. I walked to the closet to grab a new shirt but Dean caught me and made me face him.
“Little Wolf,” he said.
“That wasn’t cool.”
“We were just messing around, Layla.”
“You’re not mad? Not even a little?”
“Layla, I hurled a bundle of logs into the woods. Of course, I was fucking mad.”
I cringed. “The venom was working fast. I wasn’t sure we would make it to the castle.”
“I understand. Thank you. But it won’t happen again, yeah?”
I nodded. “Yes, of course.”
“Good.”
His lips crashed on mine. His lips swept across mine in one hungry sweep. He parted my lips caressing my tongue, sending sparks to my core. Dean’s hunger shone in the way he dominated my mouth, claiming me, reminding me I was his alone. I held on tight to him, but I couldn’t keep up with his hunger.
“You’re mine,” his wolf growled through him.
It sent a shiver up my spine. “Yes, Alpha.”
He squeezed my ass and smiled. “Good.”
He moved into our room. The way he and his brother cornered me felt natural. Like they’d done it before. It irked me to think about my mate having sex with someone else but I was curious to know if he and his brother pursued women together in their past.
“Dean?”
He looked up from his phone on the bed. I strapped him and he held my ass to support me.
“What, Little Wolf?”
“Have you and Gabe… ever shared?”
He rubbed his nose and looked to the side.
“Don’t get any funny ideas.”
“Is that a yes?” I raised a brow.
“Yes, we have.”
My heart slammed forward.
“Usually when we like the same girl. None of us likes to back down.”
I could see that in their relationship. I thought about that girl, being dominated by two Alphas. Dean in the back and Gabe in the front of vice versa. How did she do it? They would break me. One of them would want to be taken in the back of the throat while the other one pounding her relentlessly. I shivered.
“Does that turn you on?” Dean kissed my neck.
“Hmm?”
“I don’t share what’s mine. Those girls were never mine.”
He squeezed my ass. His fingers would be printed on my skin after this. His Alpha power covered me, reminding me I was his. It was like another mark on me. I melted into him. He didn’t have to remind me. I was his to dominate.
