Pregnant

**Dimitri:**

"You really want my daughter to sleep in their room? I'm her mother, not her! Why the hell would you do that...?"

"Then you should have acted like her mother," I said, interrupting Haizel's outburst. It was late, and the fact that she was arguing with me about something that was her fault was not something I liked. "You will not approach the girl with that attitude. She chose to stay somewhere else, and I, as her father and Alpha, allowed it. If you try to mess with her mind or have an attitude with her in the morning, then you will be dealing with me, and trust me, I am the last person you want to challenge."

"Dimitri, Antonia is not her daughter. She will not play the mother role for her, and I don't want to allow it." She said, and I scoffed, shaking my head at her. I turned to leave the room, not wanting to hear any more of her nonsense. The woman didn't even have the decency to comfort her daughter when she knew she was scared, and there she was, arguing.

"I am leaving, and don't expect me to come back." I said, and she took a deep breath. I walked towards the door, only to frown when I heard a loud thud. I turned to find Haizel on the floor, her eyes rolled back in her head and her body limp, catching me off guard.

I rushed to my wife and picked her up in my arms, carrying her to the infirmary as her heart raced.

"Alpha?" Bella, the pack doctor, frowned when she saw me entering.

"She fainted," I said, and she nodded, asking me to lay Haizel on the bed.

"Has she been taking any medication? Any recent changes? Did she eat?" She asked, and I shook my head. Bella placed her hands on Haizel's abdomen, pressing a few points. Her head lifted, and she looked around the room for a second, avoiding my eyes as she turned to grab a stethoscope. She placed it on Haizel's chest, listening to her breathing.

"As far as I know, regarding medication and eating, we both had dinner a while ago." I said, and she nodded. She checked Haizel's breathing and nodded to two of the pack nurses to check her blood pressure before one of them took a blood sample.

"Why the blood?" I asked, and she smiled at me. Her eyes met mine, and she stood up from her chair, looking at Haizel for a second.

"We want to confirm first, but I believe she might be pregnant, Alpha." She said, looking at Haizel's abdomen. I looked at my wife for a second, my eyes widening in surprise as I processed her words, letting them sink in.

"Are you sure?" I asked, a small smile forming on my lips. Bella nodded, smiling at me, knowing that this was something every Alpha wanted. His family growing and becoming stronger, more proof of his lineage continuing. And being my father's only legitimate son, I was more than happy to know that our family was growing through me.

"We need the blood samples to confirm. But, so far, you might be expecting another child in the pack..."

She didn't get to finish her sentence before Haizel opened her eyes to look at me. Her eyes met mine, and she frowned, pinching the bridge of her nose as she processed where she was.

"What happened?" She asked, and the pack doctor smiled at her. She looked at me, and I nodded, watching as Bella left the room, leaving us alone. "Dimitri, why am I in the infirmary?"

"You fainted," I said, making her frown. "After our argument, you fainted. I brought you here to the infirmary."

She held her head, massaging it for a second before looking at me, shaking her head. "Haizel, when was the last time you had your period?"

She frowned, confused by my question, before shaking her head.

"You know I rarely keep track of that. Why do you...?" She placed a hand on her abdomen, her eyes widening as she processed what I had just told her, and she smiled. "I thought it was just..."

"Bella just had the girls take blood samples. You might end up giving Antonia and Lowrence a new brother or sister..." The smile that was on her face disappeared almost instantly, and I knew the reason behind it was my mention of Lowrence. "He is still my son, Haizel."

"He will never be a sibling to my children, Dimitri." She said, and although I wanted to respond, I knew not to press her. She had been through enough for the night. The last thing I wanted was to put her under more pressure.

She nodded, raising an eyebrow before shaking her head.

"I thought you were leaving," she stated, and I smiled, holding her cheeks. I kissed her forehead, letting my lips stay there for a second before pulling back to look her in the eyes. "If I knew you wanted another baby, I would have been a bit more active in that part."

I was about to respond when the door opened, and Bella entered the room. The doctor smiled as she looked at us. Her eyes met Haizel's, and she straightened, now excited to hear the news from the doctor herself.

"Congratulations, Luna Haizel, you are pregnant."
