The Ominous Warning

**Angel**

It was a seemingly calm morning at the mansion, but my heart was heavy with a sense of unease that never seemed to go away. Since the confrontation with Dimitri, I couldn’t stop thinking about the growing tension within the pack. Something was deeply wrong, and I had the disturbing feeling that the worst was yet to come.

While I was in the library, trying to find some comfort amidst the books, I was interrupted by a quick knock on the door. I looked up, surprised to see Mariana, one of the newer maids, entering hastily with an expression that mixed concern and urgency.

“Lady Angel, there’s something you need to see,” she said, her voice trembling with nervousness.

I immediately stood up, feeling my heart race. “What happened?”

Mariana hesitated for a moment, as if gathering the courage to continue, before extending her hand and handing me a small scroll, carefully rolled and sealed with black wax. The symbol on the seal was unmistakable, and the immediate recognition made me shudder. It was a warning sign, a mark I knew all too well, although I wished I’d never see it again.

“This was left at the entrance to the property,” Mariana explained, with a look of fear. “No one saw who placed it there.”

With slightly trembling hands, I unrolled the scroll, feeling a chill run down my spine as I read the words written in dark ink:

*"Angel's pack is in danger. Lucian's shadow approaches, and those you love will be the first to fall. Prepare yourself, or lose everything."*

The threat was clear, direct, and terrifying. Lucian, a name everyone in the pack feared, was making his move, and the warning made it clear that he was closer than any of us could have imagined.

“Mariana, take this to Dimitri now,” I ordered, handing her the scroll urgently. “He needs to see this immediately.”

She quickly nodded, the fear evident in her eyes, and left the room almost running. I was left alone, trying to process what all of this meant. Dimitri was already concerned about the pack’s safety, but this message confirmed our worst fears: Lucian was planning something big, and we were the target.

I began to walk through the mansion, my thoughts spinning in a whirlwind of worries. We needed to act quickly, strengthen our defenses, and above all, find out who the traitor among us was. I knew the upcoming battle wouldn’t just be physical, but also psychological. Lucian was trying to destabilize us, playing with our fears and insecurities, and I couldn’t allow him to succeed.

I passed through several corridors, where pack members were talking in low voices, the tension evident on their faces. They knew something was wrong, but no one dared to speak out loud. Fear was beginning to creep in, and that was exactly what Lucian wanted.

Finally, I reached the courtyard, where a group of wolves was gathered around Leonardo. Their expressions were grim, and I realized the news had already begun to spread. We needed to act before fear took over everyone.

“Dimitri,” I called out, seeing him approaching me with long, determined strides. “We need to talk about what’s happening.”

He looked at me, and for a moment, I saw the fatigue in his eyes. The responsibility of protecting the pack was weighing on him, and I knew this new threat was only adding to the burden he was carrying. But even so, his determination was unwavering.

“I know,” he replied, his voice low but firm. “I received the message. Lucian is playing with us, trying to weaken us before the attack. But we won’t fall into that trap.”

“We need to unite the pack now,” I suggested, trying to stay calm despite the fear I felt. “They need to know we’re prepared for anything. And we need to find out who’s betraying us before it’s too late.”

Dimitri nodded, agreeing with me, but I could see the tension building in his expression. He was dealing with so much, and I wanted to help, but I knew the situation was delicate. We needed a plan, a strategy to face Lucian and protect our family.

“Let’s gather the pack leaders,” he finally decided. “We need to plan our defense and make sure everyone knows what’s at stake.”

As we walked together towards the meeting room, I felt a wave of determination grow inside me. Lucian might be approaching, but I wouldn’t let him destroy everything we had built. I was ready to fight, for my pack, for my son, and for everything I loved.

We entered the meeting room, where the pack leaders were already waiting. Dimitri took the lead, explaining the situation and outlining a defense plan. Everyone was tense, but Dimitri’s presence and his authority as alpha brought a sense of security.

“We need to prepare for the worst,” he said, his voice firm, but with a gravity that didn’t go unnoticed. “Lucian won’t stop until he gets what he wants, but we won’t let him win. We will protect our pack, our family, at any cost.”

As the discussions continued, with strategies being drawn and roles assigned, I couldn’t help but wonder what else Lucian might be planning. He was cunning, ruthless, and wouldn’t hesitate to use any means necessary to achieve his goals.

I knew the next few weeks would be critical. The war was at our doorstep, and we needed to be prepared for everything. But there was something else that worried me, something I couldn’t ignore: the possibility of a traitor among us. Someone was passing information to Lucian, and until we discovered who it was, we would be in constant danger.

I was determined to find the traitor, to protect my pack and my family, and to face Lucian head-on. No matter what it took, I wouldn’t let him destroy everything we loved. The ominous warning had been given, but the battle was just beginning.

**Dimitri**

As Angel explained her part of the plan, I observed the faces of the pack leaders. There was a mix of fear and determination in their eyes, and I knew everyone was aware of what was coming. But there was something more, a shadow of doubt that I couldn’t shake off.

I felt that the traitor was among us, perhaps even in this room, listening to every word, planning the next move. The idea enraged me, but I couldn’t let it distract me. We needed to stay focused, united, and ready to face Lucian when he finally made his move.

The threat was closer than ever, and time was running out.
