His Other Half
Raziya was taken to a room and left alone afterwards. But, she could tell the beta had locked the door before leaving.
There was a small burning candle which was the only aid of light, and considering how dim the room, Raziya had a hard time getting a proper view. But she could tell it was nothing like the room she deserved.
It was so small, dirty and stinked. The bed was tiny with the sheets on it looking so ugly and rough, the floor was damp and littered, scattered books were on tbe table and the curtains were obviously dirty. Raziya was convinced that the room had previously been occupied by a servant.
So, how was she supposed to be in it? How does she survive? Even the dungeon was better than the rat hole she had been brought into. How do they expect a princess to sleep in such confiscated space? Oh! For the Protectors' sake, now she was certain her life was doomed.
She wrapped her hands around herself and shivered, missing the life she was used to. If only she could go back to it, she'd do anything and make sure she never takes a bow again.
But, the Alpha, why hadn't he touched her? The most he did was caress her breasts and to be honest, she was glad that was all he did. Still, she couldn't help but ponder...
In his earlier words, he had promised to make her warm his bed. When she had knelt before him, she could vividly see the lust in his eyes. So, how come nothing happened? Why did he just caress and let her go?
...
After locking up the Princess in the room the Alpha had arranged for her, Jerri headed back to his, eager to know what happened.
Why was the Princess not touched? Alpha Jagger he knew basked in people's pain. He enjoyed taking advantage of helpless ladies - especially those that had offended him. And he was very sure the Princess was someone he'd love to add to that list. So, why was she different?
He knocked when he got to the door and a few seconds later, the Alpha's voice ushered him in.
Elated, he opened the door and walked in to find the Alpha drinking. Drinking?
He looked calm as he sat in front of his window, gazing into the dark.
"Has she been locked up?" Jagger asked without sparing Jerri a glance behind.
"Yes, Alpha. In the room you instructed", replied Jerri.
"Good. So, why are you here?" The Alpha was never a type to mince words.
But Jerri gave some space before proceeding.
"I am just curious, Alpha. You didn't get laid with the princess", he left his words hanging, but when the Alpha didn't react, he decided to proceed.
"It is unlike you. So...I wanted to know if everything was fine".
Jagger slurped from his drink and took a long while before speaking out.
"I couldn't do it", his voice indicated his spleen. "Not because I didn't wanted to, but I couldn't".
Jerri was confused at his words.
"Uhm...Alpha", he beat his throat. "I do not think I understand. What stopped you?"
Jagger paused and took more gulps from his drink.
"I don't think I can explain it. My other half gave me some instincts that it would be dangerous getting intimate with her", he gruffed.
"Dangerous?" Jerri found the whole thing ridiculous. "You mean... your wizard part?"
Jagger didn't respond. So, Jerri took that as a yes.
"But...how is it dangerous? She is just a princess".
Jerri's curiosity might be questionable, but he was there when the Princess shot the gamma and ran off. The gamma had been a pretty close friend of his and watching him die in his arms was a memory he could forgive. So perhaps, his curiousity shouldn't be questioned.
Alpha took the whole of his drink and turned to face him, his eyes looking sour. Jerri didn't need anyone to tell he had been sniffling the powder.
Facing him, Jagger drank from his cup and drew a deep breath.
"Go to your room, Jerri. We have a busy day tomorrow", he grumbled and walked pass him, going into his inner room.

NEXT MORNING
************************
Raziya had managed to sleep on the bed. Tho, it was the most difficult thing she's ever had to do, but since she had no choice and had gotten tired of standing, she had to reconsider.
She cuddled herself while trying not to change position as she didn't want her entire body rubbing all over the bed. She couldn't tell when she had finally slept off, but she could tell her strenuous sleep wasn't enough when the Alpha's beta had woken her up.
He had done it roughly - jerking her leg until her eyes went open. When she saw it was him, she quickly lifted her torn straps to cover her chest, but she knew it was too late.
"On your feet. The Alpha needs you", Jerri passed the information, grumpily.
Still feeling dizzy, Raziya took a peek at the window and realized it was getting bright. It was morning so soon?
Jerri was already heading to the door, so she quickly stood up while holding her torn strap to her chest.
"Can I get a dress?" Her request halted him.
He turned to her and she could clearly see some hate in him.
"When you get to the Alpha, you ask him", his tone and expression were caustic.
He turned back to the door, but she stopped him again.
"Wait...!"
Turning to look at her, his eyes seemed more menacing.
"While we're away, could you have a maid clean this up?" Raziya pointed to the room. "It's a miracle I was able to sleep in there and I'm not sure that miracle would happen again".
Now, Jerri took smoldering steps toward her, his eyes burning with wroth.
Raziya flinched at his iciness and took a step back, but it didn't stop him from standing so close to her.
"If you have a problem with the room, Princess, fix it yourself. Now, you do not want to keep the Alpha waiting", he blurt and flounced, while the displeased Raziya followed behind.
