Raziya's Bitterness
Raziya's legs threatened to wobble, but she forced them not to as she didn't want to look weak in front of him anymore. She was done being weak.
She maintained the gaze and ignored his words.
"I asked a question, Raziya", he stated gruffly, his breath hitting her cheeks.
"Will you be my servant, or not?"
It took Raziya a lot to remain dauntless. And behind clenched teeth, she replied:
"No".
A brief silence followed, then a cold smirk cut through Jagger's lips.
"What did you say?" He gritted as he grabbed her hair and yanked it so hard.
Raziya winced painfully as she lifted her hands to his to stop him, but it was to no avail.
"Does this look like a Palace to you?" He spoke into her face, still pulling her hair.
"I didn't bring you to a bed of roses, Raziya. So, when I say a thing, I expect you to follow - unless you want your heart carved out. Now, for the last time, will you be my servant, or not?"
"I will not! Let me go!" She whimpered and still struggled with her hair, but it was to no avail.
And angrily, Jagger pushed her to the floor. She wailed as she tried covering her chest, but that became the least of her problems when she felt a hard kick on her belly.
"Argh!" She grunted and rolled on her back.
All Jerri and the chief servant could do was watch.
"You do not disobey me, Raziya! You do not!" Jagger yelled and kicked her again.
He whipped to the table and returner with a small knife which he always used for his apples. He crouched in front of Raziya and pulled her hair so she looks him in the face - not just his face, but the knife which he showed to her.
"Talk to me, Raziya. Will you do as I say, or you prefer losing an eye?" He gritted.
The Princess was already losing every ounce of confidence she had left in her. Her tone wavered as she looked at the knife being pointed to her face.
"Please... don't make me do this",she broke down.
"I should be telling you that. Now, tell me what I want to know! Are you being my servant, or not!" He yelled angrily, but sobs upon sobs racked her throat.
"You won't speak?!" He took the knife so close to the brim of eye and realizing she had lost the battle, she screamed out.
"I'll do it! I'll do it! Just let me go...", more tears streaked her cheeks as she closed her eyes to prevent the knife from touching it.
Jagger didn't pull back immediately. He yanked her hair still and continued glaring into her face. Gradually, he moved the knife to her left breast and circled her nipple and a small gasp cut through her lips.
"Please..." she shut her eyes open and looked at him, fear so evident in her eyes.
Jagger was staring right at her while circling the knife on her nipple, threatening a cut. Now, that was the moment Raziya felt real fear. Her heart thump heavily in her chest, she could hardly breathe as she looked into his face, seemingly at his mercy.
She wanted to push him away; she wanted to just get up and run, but she knew that was impossible as she was solely at his mercy. The slightest movement and the knife could cut through her nipple for real.
"What did you say...Princess?" He satirized, his cold gaze still piercing into her eyes.
"I'll...do it. I'll be your servant. Please...", the words were too heavy, but she forced them out of her lips.
Jagger didn't stop as he yanked her hair even harder and stuck the knife beneath her areola.
"Next time, do not make me repeat myself, Raziya, 'cause I promise you won't leave the same", he warned, and the frightened Raziya bobbed her head fearfully.
At last, he pushed her off and stood.
"Get her to the kitchen, Layla and tell her what to do"
"Yes, Alpha", the chief servant bowed and headed to Raziya immediately.
"And Jerri, get everything ready for the ritual",
"As you wish, Alpha", Jerri bowed and left the room before Raziya and the chief servant did.
....
Raziya wiped her tears and tried to muffle her sobs as she walked behind the chief servant who kept turning and throwing glances at her at intervals.
"You might want to hurry up, Princess", the lady said when she noticed how lazily Raziya dragged her feet.
But the pained Princess said nothing nor even looked at her as she had her gaze fixed on the floor.
She was doomed, wasn't she? From being a princess to being a servant. Nobody was coming to save her. No one at all.
Perhaps, the Alpha was stronger than even the other Kings. Thus, she was trapped there. Could things get any worst?
She didn't even mind the deep stares she'd received from people they came across as her mind had drifted so far into depression. And she had to walk with difficulty as she felt slight pains on her tummy, resulting from the kicks she had gotten from the Alpha.
But, how could a man be so cruel? If she hadn't said yes to him, would he had truly cut off her breast? Was he capable of doing that? Why did the Protectors make her encounter someone like him? Or was she being punished for her past sins? What sins exactly?
....
They arrived at the kitchen, but Raziya stood at the door to take a survey. She was never a lover of kitchens. In her father's Palace, she had only gone to the kitchen thrice and the first time was her going to scold a servant.
But, from her little experience, she could tell the sight in front of her was nothing compared to her father's kitchen. Although, it was big, but it looked classless and dirty. For her, it looked dirty. Well, it was difficult finding anything satisfying in a place filled with beasts.
As she looked at their faces, the only thoughts she could have was of them being animals. And they all looked so poor as people that weren't even worth her servants. But now, she was going to work with them? It was unbelievable.
She was still at the door, lost in thoughts while staring at the servants who were also staring at her when something suddenly hit her on the face.
Getting a grip of herself, she looked and noticed a flimsy dress had been thrown at her. What?
"You are not expected to stand there all day, Princess. So, come in here and get your hands busy", it was the chief servant. She rasped with a hand on her waist as she stood in the middle of the kitchen.
Raziya looked at the dress and felt insulted that it was being thrown at her.
"You walked me all the way here, but couldn't walk to the door to hand me a dress?" She looked at her and snapped.
Layla scoffed and looked around, then ambled towards her.
"What did you say, Princess?" her voice was taunted.
"In clearer words, don't ever throw a dress at me again", Raziya repeated emphatically, driving everyone to shock.
