At The Temple
Raziya hesitated. She hated her state of helplessness. She couldn't scream for help.
"You know how I hate to repeat myself," Jagger warned.
Raziya gulped; she released the button in slow motion, taking her time.
Jagger smiled viciously, and he was enjoying the show. He loved seeing Raziya helpless. He wanted the effect his dominance had on her.
Raziya dragged the straps of her dress down, giving room for her breast to be exposed. She circled her hands around her breast.
"I hope you are having a good show," she mumbled.
Jagger's eyes sparked in pleasure as he took in the beautiful display of Raziya's breast before him. The tempting round-shaped creamy perked perfect breast stood in its glory, pointing at him to have a feel of it.
He lunged forward at the breast, holding them in ecstasy. Raziya's breath faltered as he fondled them, she shut her eyes to accept her fate and soft moans escaped her lips.
Jagger stopped abruptly and said, "Leave my room."
Raziya jerked at the sudden pitch of his voice. She hurriedly fastened her buttons as she threw a glance at Jagger. His face was void of emotions. She scampered to the door for safety, then heaved open the door and ran as fast as her legs could carry her to the assigned room.
Jagger tumbled the table in front of him in anger, and he wondered why he was so stupid to touch the Princess. He had allowed lust to take over him.
A night without soiling his eyes or mind wouldn't have harmed him. He had a ritual to perform the next day, and as the leader, he needed to stay pure and devoid of uncleanliness to have a successful ritual.
He ran his hand across his head in frustration. He was grateful that he came to his senses even though it was rather late. Rather late than sorry. He tried to tell himself that nothing had happened to devoid him of his cleanliness.
As Raziya entered, Jagger's guards locked the room and went away, leaving Raziya to her thoughts.
She climbed the tiny bed, which squeaked in protest. She pondered on what transpired in Jagger's room.
She wondered why he suddenly chased her out of his room even though he was having a good time molesting her. Maybe the protectors were watching her and guiding her because she couldn't see any other reason for Jagger's actions.
One minute he was close to sleeping with her, and the next minute he was withdrawing from her like he had been scorched in flames. She realized she had no options because there was nothing she could do other than permit him to have his way anytime. After all, she was too little to match his powers.
Raziya woke to the rough yanks trying to wake her. She yawned, stretching her body, and rubbing her eyes. The room was bright. She looked around and in front of her was a mean-looking man.
"Head out to the kitchen now!" he ordered, giving her no time to do anything except to move out of the room.
She prodded her way out of the room behind the mean guard. She noticed the place was busy, and people were all over the place, either walking or running to get their activities done. It then occurred to her that it was the ritual day. Her demon had mentioned it some days ago. Also, Layla had informed her yesterday, stating that it was the reason for their busy day in the kitchen.
"Hello, Layla," Raziya greeted as she entered the kitchen. Layla, who was instructing some maids, turned to Raziya after she was done, and the maids left to carry out their assignments.
"Princess, it's good to see you," Layla beamed. She was glad to see Raziya find her way to the kitchen without force or a grumpy face.
"Come with me," Layla beckoned. Raziya followed her to a far side of the kitchen, where different foods were displayed in decorative manners. "Once it's time for the ritual process, you and some other maids will carry out these trays of food to the temple to meet the Alpha, where the foods will be presented at the temple's altar."
Raziya nodded in understanding, analyzing the foods.
"No, don't touch it! You will make it unclean!" Layla cautioned, glaring at her.
Raziya retracted her hand, and she muttered, "Sorry."
The sound of a bell ringing came from a distance.
"It's time for the ritual process," Layla informed Raziya. Layla moved away to organize the maids that would carry the trays of food to the temple. Layla arranged them in a neat file, putting Raziya in the front, ignoring Raziya's protest to stay in the middle or at the back.
Raziya walked out of the kitchen with the maids behind her. Guards were waiting outside for their arrival to supervise the food procession to the temple. The people watched in admiration as they walked gracefully and beautifully to the temple.
"Should a murderer participate in this holy exercise?" someone muttered from the crowd when Raziya was recognized.
Raziya winced subtly at the words they said but held her head up high because she refused to let their words get to her.
They reached the temple eventually; Alpha Jagger was in the company of his Beta and some priests to receive the food for the ritual.
Alpha Jagger was dressed in a white robe. Around his neck were the ancestral beads for rituals meant for the pack's Alpha.
Raziya walked into the temple and dropped her food tray on the Altar. She stood behind, waiting for the Alpha and his entourage.
Alpha Jagger walked graciously to the front of the Altar. The leaders had taken their positions at the altar, praying and saying incantations.
Alpha Jagger knelt in total submission to the prayer rendered in the temple; everyone in the temple also knelt, chanting a response to the prayers that were going on.
The leaders finished their incarnation and called on the maids to hold each of their trays while they sprinkled blood for their sacrifice to be accepted so that the ritual would come to a successful end, and then the food would be distributed for mass consumption.
Raziya and the maids knelt in a straight line facing the altar while the leaders came forward to them, but instead, the unimaginable happened. The foods were toppled over with great force.
The maids gasped, and their eyes were filled with horror. Raziya couldn't understand what was happening around her, but she was glad because of the way everybody reacted, including Alpha Jagger, whose eyes held surprise and confusion.
The temple was in commotion and chaos. Different questions and murmuring from the people filled the air.
"Keep quiet!" Alpha Jagger roared, and instantly everybody was silent. Jagger was confused; this had never happened to him. He wondered if it was what he had done the previous night that caused it.
He ran his hands into his hair, pacing around, trying to concentrate, everyone was looking at him for answers, but he couldn't provide any. The fact that the leaders had no solution weakened him. He stormed out of the temple, signaling to them to follow him.
"What happened?" he roared at the leaders. They, too, were also surprised like the rest of the people. They made sure everything was in place, and nothing was amiss.
"Alpha, we are afraid we have no explanation for your question, but we need time to consult," one of them answered.
Jaggar dragged the man to his eye level. His eyes color changed to red to instill fear.
"I don't know what you need to do or how you do it, but all I want is an answer in the next twenty-four hours, or else you won't see the sunset of the day after," he growled, dropping the startled man.
"Yes, Alpha," he said as he landed on the floor.
