The guards loaded the carriage that was headed to the Titasal Kingdom. Queen Heba was crying as she hugged Raziya tightly. Her face was red and puffy from tears, her make-up ruined, but she didn't care. She was mourning, she didn't want to leave her daughter, but it was a hard reality she had to come to terms with. When the carriage was fully loaded, it was time to go. King Zachary beckoned Raziya to come, and Queen Heba reluctantly released her.
"Be safe and always make me proud," King Zachary said to Raziya as he hugged her and kissed her on the forehead. He was fighting the urge not to cry because he didn't want to look weak to his family and subordinate.
"I will always have you in my heart and pray to the protectors to keep you safe, my little sister." Prince Archie choked as he squashed Raziya into his arms, sobbing lightly. Raziya reciprocated, sniffing her tears. They pulled apart, and Raziya moved to Princess Rana.
She looked at Princess Rana, who was doing a good job hiding her pain and appearing strong. "Be strong and resilient, I know you would be great, and nothing would stop it. I love you."
Princess Rana grinned as she embraced her little sister, who she didn't know when she would see again.
"Don't ever forget me," Raziya sobbed in muffled tones as she hugged her sister.
"Never, no one can easily forget Princess Raziya the great," Princess Rana assured Jokingly. Raziya chuckled as they pulled apart. Princess Rana patted her shoulders gently as she walked off to take her place in the carriage.
"My baby," Queen Heba wailed. She waited for everyone to talk to Raziya before she could finally bid her favorite daughter farewell. Raziya couldn't hold the tears that streamed down her eyes, and she let them flow without trying to clean them.
"It pains me that I have to leave you behind without taking you with me, but promise you will be strong for me," Queen Heba prompted.
"I will, mother," Princess Raziya answered in a raspy voice.
Queen Heba nodded and kissed Princess Raziya's forehead passionately before she reluctantly let go of her hands and walked to the carriage.
The horses neighed as the horseman whipped the reins urging the horses to move. The horses moved, and Queen Heba lifted her head out the window, waving at Raziya. Raziya responded, waving back with uncontrollable tears flowing through her eyes. Pain etched her heart as she watched the carriage becoming tiny as the horse galloped at a fast pace. She crouched down, crying, holding her chest that was throbbing from the pain she was feeling. She cried her eyes out, watching as the carriage disappeared while Sara watched from behind her. Sara knew she was hurting and allowed her to.
Jagger watched from his window as Raziya was weeping. He felt the need to hold her and comfort her. It was a bit hurtful to watch her cry. He looked at her as he chewed on his apple. She was still so beautiful even though she was wailing. Sara came close and gently helped her up from the ground, dusting her dress. Princess Raziya sniffed as she wiped her tears and thanked Sara.
Jagger stared at her figures as she swayed her ass from one point to another. His wolf growled as he pictured her naked body in his bed. He moved away from the window as she was out of sight. He tried his powers yet again, and nothing seemed to work. He got angry. He had given strict instructions to the kitchen staff, especially Layla. He warned her never to allow his food to be served solid, strong drinks.
He knew that was the genesis of his problem and vowed never to make the mistakes again. The problem was frustrating him, Jerri, his Beta, was beginning to suspect his powers were no longer with him, but he was smart to debunk the suspicion. Dini had come to him to soothe him and spend the previous night with him, but her presence irritated him. Her touch didn't affect him, and he was just numb as she tried to please him. If it were days ago, her touch would have been appreciated by him, but this time it was unwanted.
It irked him when she kept trailing kisses on his body. Alpha Jagger kept rejecting her touch, but Dini didn't listen till he tried the last resort when he flung her across the room in anger. Dini winced in pain and cried out. She voiced her concerns about his cold attitude towards her, which she didn't like and wouldn't take No from him for an answer.
She asked him if Princess Raziya was already warming his bed and if she was the slut behind why he rejected her. Alpha Jagger resisted the urge to rip out the tongue she used to call Princess Raziya a slut but instead, he ordered her out of his room which Dini obeyed reluctantly, murmuring to herself.
"There is a maid outside that said lady Dini is requesting your presence at lady Dini's Chambers," Sara informed Princess Raziya. Raziya wondered what next Dini wanted from her, but one thing she knew was she was not going to Dini's chambers because she might have her killed and threaten them so no one would say a thing about it and then dispose of her body at a location that could never be traced back to her. She knew the jealous heart of a woman could think and do unimaginable things.
"Relay my statement exactly to the maid back to Dini," Raziya instructed, reclining back in her seat. "If you need to talk to me, come to my chambers to meet me, don't expect me to come to yours," Raziya added.
Sara gasped.
"Princess, she is the Alpha's first concubine. She should be accorded some respect!" Sara advised, scared about the consequences it was going to befall Raziya.
"A glorified side piece of the Alpha? Maybe when she becomes Luna, I would accord her some respect, but for now, there's none to give her!" Raziya scoffed. Sara didn't look like she was convinced. She stood staring at Raziya, not knowing what to say to persuade her from delivering such a message to the Alpha's first concubine.
Raziya laughed at Sara's act.
"Don't worry, nothing is going to happen to me; she will come here because she needs me; just trust me and do as I say," Raziya assured Sara.
Sara walked to the door and relayed the exact message to the maid. The maid widened her eyes when she heard it and asked Sara if she was sure, which Sara affirmed and told the maid not to keep Dini waiting for too long.
Dini looked up at the maid as she finished relaying the message she had heard from Sara.
"Are you sure that is what the Princess said?" Dini growled
"Yes, my lady, that is what Sara, her maid, told me," the maid stuttered and fell to the floor in fright, bowing her head to face the ground.
Dini boiled in a fury, and the princess decided to show her arrogance. Dini knew she just had to be calm and patient while leading the princess to her death without her noticing any clues.
"It's okay, that will be all," she waved the maid away, smiling at her.
Dini looked at herself one last time in the mirror. Satisfied with the look she saw, she grinned and walked out of her room, heading for Princess Raziya's chamber.
It pained her that she was about to do Princess Raziya's bidding and feed her ego, bringing more disrespect to her name from the princess, but that was a price she was willing to pay to have her out of the way. Princess Raziya was a more significant threat to her than ever. It would no longer be news to her if the princess manipulates the Alpha to start doing her bindings since the Alpha had already started resisting her touch because of the princess.
"My lady, please come in" Sara ushered Dini in as she opened the door.
Dini smiled as she observed the room. The room was well furnished and befitting for a woman with class and high status. She wondered how deep the affections of the Alpha were for Princess Raziya.
Her gaze shifted to Raziya, who was seated. She was blatantly scrutinizing Dini.
"Can I sit?" Dini asked sweetly, gesturing to the chair in front of her and ignoring Raziya's gaze on her.
"Yeah, sure," Princess Raziya replied, wearing a fake smile.
"I heard you refused to come to me," Dini hectored.
"Yes, someone told me to watch my back, so I am gladly and unapologetically doing it," Princess Raziya answered Sardonically, still maintaining her fake smile.
Dini knew Princess Raziya was talking to her directly. "That's good advice, but it shouldn't apply to me."
"Why so? " Raziya implored.
Dini cleared her throat while Princess Raziya watched her. She wanted to be aware of any move she would make.
"I'm so sorry for how I spoke to you that day, Princess; I was angry and shouldn't have transferred aggression to you" Dini faked her apology. She stood up from her seat and knelt close to Raziya.
Raziya was surprised at Dini's actions. She looked at her to decipher her, but it wasn't working. Her face held remorse. She was solemn. She knew she couldn't trust Dini wholeheartedly but decided to fake the trust and acceptance.
"It's okay, Dini; I bear no grudge against you," she muttered. Princess Raziya lifted Dini, who was still kneeling on the floor, and hugged her.
Dini smirked at Raziya's back. Her plan went smoothly, and the princess was a fool to believe her so soon and accept her back. Dini didn't think the apology would be taken in one day. She felt she would have to grovel and beg. She was glad it ended without any suspicion from the Princess.
Dini pulled apart from Raziya "so we are back to being friends again, right?" Dini asked, smiling.
"Yes," Raziya grinned.
"Thank you, Princess. I would never do anything to sever this friendship any longer" Dini jumped in fake excitement.
Raziya laughed. "I'll have to leave now, princess. I'll be back again," Dini excused herself, quickly trudging to the door.
Raziya nodded as she watched her leave her room. She knew Dini was up to something. She just couldn't believe her. She was a woman who lashed out at her in Jealousy. She could feel her jealousy and spite the other day. She just had to wait and see the outcome of what Dini was planning.
