The Outraged Lady

Raziya felt herself shaking uncomfortably - her head hitting against a surface and her legs wobbling. She had been enjoying her slumber and couldn't tell why anyone would want to disturb her with such unwanted movements. Who was it?

With her eyes closed, she tried ignoring it, but nothing changed and it led her to start grumbling.

"Mona... What is wrong with you?" She muttered faintly.

She tried touching her hair and that was the point she realized her hands were tied. Huh?

Dizzily, she forced her tired eyes open and the first sight she beheld made everything dangerously clear. She was in a moving carriage with two men beside her. What??

She was startled and was about to get paranoid when all of a sudden, the horrible memories came dancing into her head.

"No .." she shuddered.

Staring at her hands and seeing the bound on them, she irked and felt humiliated. Her whole life, she'd been the one chaining the low lives. Why would they subject her to such mockery?

She took a nervous gulp as she looked at the men beside her, recognizing them to be one of the Alpha's errand boys. They seemed so mean and were not even looking at her.

"You have to cut me loose", she stretched out her hands. "I know I did wrong for killing your gamma, but can't you understand it wasn't intentional? We were all there at the wrong time. Why should I have to be blamed for it?"

The two men were as cold as a stone and find even look at her as they kept their gazes focused. Seeing how critical the situation was getting, Raziya decided to beat down her pride a bit.

"Please", her voice cracked. "I...I can give you whatever you want. You know who my father is, right? He can make you so rich, your family would know no sorrow", but the men reacted nothing still and that blew Raziya's last hope.

How does she get out of such a mess? Her family... How does she get back to them?

She could recall her mother being knocked out before she left. Her mother... how was she? Did anything happen to her? Oh! For the Protectors' sake, she needed to get back to make sure she was fine. What if the monster had killed her? She'd never forgive herself for it.

"Please", she turned back to the men again. "I beg you to do this for me! I really need to go. Please!"

She couldn't believe she was pleading with strangers for the first time. How much she's been humiliated.

She was about doing more when the carriage suddenly stopped moving. Her heart gave a mighty leap as the realization dawned on her. Oh, no. She didn't want to believe...

The man on her right opened the curtains and dragged her out of the carriage with himself. Raziya had to wince uncomfortably at how rough he was. But that became the least of her problems when she confirmed they had indeed, arrived and she was currently amid wolves.

Tho, they were still in their human shape, but staring at their faces, all she could see were monsters.

Disgust and fear gripped her, the latter being the highest as she wondered how she'd leave among wolves. She's always resented them - everything about them - and being brought in as the only human was something she couldn't fathom.

The few people around stopped moving and focused their eyes on the strange lady in their midst. Of course, they could identify a non-wolf when they see one. Hence, they were so sure the lady in front of them was not one.

The news of the gamma being killed by a princess had spread around like wildfire, and knowing the Alpha had gone after her, they figured that was the Princess in front of them. But they couldn't understand why she was alive as they had expected the Alpha to kill her on sight.

Heat jarred Raziya to her core as she felt rattled by the stares from the people. She wanted to run away, or vanish into thin air. She could be anywhere, but there. Why would she be brought into the presence of the beasts with her hands bound? How would she survive living there? It was nothing like her father's Palace - the tall exuberant Palace she knew where she had servants at her beck and call - this was nothing like it. In her eyes, the place looked just like a refugee camp, although it had tall buildings as well. But the buildings looked so old and everyone looked like monsters before her. She could hardly breathe.

What did she do to deserve such embarrassment? Because she accidentally killed a wolf?

"I think she's the princess", she could hear their whispers.

"She looks just like a princess - murderer".

"Why's her hair that way? Why is it red?"

"I've never seen a human with red hair. She's probably different because she's a murderer".

It took Raziya a lot to gulp down the humiliations as she ran her nervous eyes around. And at the balcony of one the buildings, she spotted a lady staring at her. The lady seemed different as she was calm, beautiful, looked neater and more expensive than the others. She wasn't just calm, but cold.

Raziya looked away, still standing beside the man that had dragged her out of the carriage and wondered why they were not moving. But it became clear to her when she noticed the Alpha coming towards them.

It was more like his presence commanded silence as the people around went mute at once - including the ones that had run out of nowhere to join them.

For some reason, Raziya felt her heart beating rapidly as he got close, two other boys behind him. Her gaze was still pinned to the floor, but when she noticed him stand before her, she had to look up.

"Welcome to my little Palace, Princess Raziya", the unsubdued smirk on his face needled her so much, she didn't know how to react.

"My people think you're the princess", he continued. "And of course, you are. But I can't have you looking like one in my presence".

Raziya wondered what he meant, but not until he lifted his hand to her hair and pulled the band from her ponytail. She gasped as her hair came falling freely on her shoulders, the provocation becoming unbearable.

"And your hair...", he ran his hand down the edges. "Why is it red?"

Raziya had a lot to worry about, rather than the never-ending questions about her hair. The reason for her hair color was still a mystery to herself and even to her mother. She didn't create herself, so why does she get the questions?

"Maybe I can do something about it", the Alpha added and before Raziya could catch her next breath, the strap of her dress was torn down by the Alpha.

"Let go of me!" She didn't realize when she yelled and stepped back.

Her heart was thumping so fast. And being the kind of person he was, Jagger chuckled at it.

"I'll have so much fun doing so many things to you, Princess", the sarcasm was clear in his voice as he spoke while Raziya struggled to hold onto her dress from falling off her chest.

She couldn't comprehend it - the humiliation.

"You murderer!" A raucous voice was suddenly heard.

Confused, Raziya looked up and was startled to find a young lady marching out of one of the buildings and storming toward her with so much hate, anger.

Raziya could swear the lady would eat her up with how rough she looked, but fortunately, she was held back by some of the boys around.

"Let me go! I'll carve out her eyes!! She killed my brother! She killed my brother!" she struggled to break free from her restrictors, but luckily for Raziya, the boys didn't let her go.

Raziya felt her predicaments increasing. Could that be a sister to the dead wolf? What mess had she gotten into?

The people around were silent and just watched the whole drama. And somehow, Raziya found herself staring at the Alpha.

"Take her away", Jagger ordered. And without hesitation, Raziya was led away, wondering what was next for her.
