Chapter 119
At work the next day, I couldn't stop thinking of Logan and the confrontation with his mother. After leaving the mansion, I stopped in for a drink at a quiet lounge to think, and then I went straight home. I thought all night about Logan and whether or not I should call him. Knowing his mother, she'd probably send a hitman after me now. I decided to throw myself into my work and let the chips fall where they may.
As I spoke to client sitting across from me, a huge yawn escaped my lips. "I'm so sorry," I said. "I didn't much sleep last night."
He smiled; a kind elder gentleman. "That's all right, dear. After we're finished here, you go on home and get some sleep."
I smiled. "I wish I could, but I have more clients." I shook it off. "But that's all right. I'll sleep like a baby tonight."
"That's the spirit!" he said, giving me a kind smile.
After I finished with two more clients, I decided to call it a day. So, I cleared off my desk, slipped into my coat, grabbed my purse, and headed out the door.
"Don't forget about your dinner date tonight with Curt Davis," Lynn said cheerfully as I walked past.
I looked at her, confused. "How did you know about that?"
"He had me add it on your calendar before he left yesterday," she said proudly.
"I can't believe he did that," I said, smiling as I shook my head. "Thanks, hon! What would I ever do without you?"
She smiled and waved as I left.
On the way home, I pushed Logan out of my mind and decided to concentrate on my date with Curt. I had no intentions of doing anything with him, other than just dinner. I looked at the clock in my car, and it read six o'clock. Good. I had time to shower and change before he arrived.
I walked into my condo soon after, shedding my coat and laying it over the chair closest to the door, along with my purse. Then, I walked through the bedroom and into the adjoining bathroom and closed the door. I unbuttoned my blouse and let it fall to the floor, along with my bra and underwear, and then turned the shower on high.
After stepping into the hot shower, the water rushed over me, warming my body. I didn't want any temptations, so I ran my hand over my nipples, raising them to peaks as my pussy began to pulse. It had been a long time since I had had sex, even alone.
While still rubbing my nipples, I ran my other hand down my stomach and to my pussy, and then shoved a finger in. I was already wet. I pulled out and let my thumb graze over my clit-slowly at first, but then faster as I rubbed my nipples. I got out of the shower, dripping water along the floor, and hunted for my vibrator under the counter. I took it out of its wrapping and turned it on. Immediately, it buzzed to life, vibrating in my hand. Good. The batteries still worked.
Stepping back into the shower, I turned on the vibrator and my pussy already tightened in anticipation. I ran my fingers over my nipples, imagining Logan in the apartment I shared with him in Nashville. He was fingering me and then raised up, his dick swollen, and pushed into me as I gasped. Then, he pumped into me, slowly at first, and then faster.
I turned the vibrator on pulse and ran it over my clit and closed my eyes, imagining Logan. I slid it into my pussy, imagining that he was fucking me-slowly at first, and then harder and faster. I pulled it out and let it vibrate over my clit again, and then my nipples, causing them to raise into peaks. My pussy twitched in anticipation as I pushed it in again, going deep as I moved it in and out, letting the toy work its magic. As my climax pulsed through me, I imagined Logan fucking me, pushing into me over and again until my walls tightened and my juices ran over the vibrator.
As I washed off the toy, it was funny. I couldn't even fantasize about any other man than Logan. I sighed as I finished my shower and put the vibrator away. "Well, looks like you and I are going to be friends for a while," I said, laughing as I covered it up in a box under the sink. Logan was so mad at me that he probably never wanted to see me again. I let out a deep breath as I hitched the towel between my breasts. Seeing him had awakened a part of me that had lain dormant for a very long time.
I let out a deep breath as I looked in my closet for something to wear. I didn't want to wear anything too sexy-no matter what Curt had said-but I didn't feel like dressing in business attire, either. It was cold out, so I settled for a cute little black dress, see-through black hose, and I pulled out my long, black leather coat to wear, as well. After I slipped into the dress, it came about six inches from my knees. It felt a bit plain, so I looked through my jewelry box for something to dress it up and settled on my white pearls. I looked sexy, but in a subtle way. Not in "fuck me now" kind of way.
I let out a deep breath as I looked at my reflection in the mirror after carefully applying just enough makeup to bring out my features, playing up my green eyes. I topped it off with red lipstick, and then looked at my hair that waved to my shoulders and curved under at the ends after running a brush through it, letting it fall into place. Then, I slid into my matching black heels.
Suddenly, the doorbell chimed, reminding me of wind chimes. "Coming!" I yelled as I slid little pearl earrings in my pierced ears and headed for the door.
When I opened it, Curt was standing on the other side. He looked me up and down immediately, almost appraising my style of dress, evidentially, to see if I had heeded his words.
"You look great tonight."
"Thank you," I said, smiling appreciatively. "Won't you come in?"
He nodded as he stepped in.
I hurried off to the bedroom to grab my coat. "I'll only be a minute!"
"Do you often just throw your things down when you get home?" he asked as he picked up my beige coat from work and hung it up in the hall closet.
I chuckled, unable to believe he had just asked me such a question. "Actually, yes. I do especially when I'm in a hurry."
He forced a smile as he nodded.
I quickly transferred my wallet into a black clutch purse and slid my old purse onto a nearby table. "Shall we?" I asked, finally ready to go.
He forced a smile and opened the door. I locked it, and he pulled it closed behind us.
"So, where are we going?" I asked as we walked down the hallway.
He looked over at me and smiled. "You'll see," he said as we stepped into the elevator. "It's a surprise." He glanced over at me once again, and then the doors opened.
His limo driver was waiting with the door open when we walked out. He took my hand and helped me in as Curt slid in behind. Soon, we pulled up in front of the new One World Trade Center.
