Chapter 63 - A New Chapter

Lilith felt Raymond before she saw him and she looked up to see him standing over her. His eyes were locked on her, a gaze so intense that it caused a shiver to go up her spine.

“Raymond.” Lilith’s voice was soft and it seemed enough to shock him out of his trance because he suddenly grabbed onto her thigh and climbed over her on the bed.

His other arm was next to her head and Raymond captured her lips in his before she could say anything again. Lilith’s heart skipped a beat and she relaxed into the bed, kissing Raymond back with the same amount of eagerness. His hand rubbed her thigh and Lilith shivered once more at the action. Her arms came up and gripped his shirt, pulling him closer to her.

The kiss was passionate and Raymond wanted Lilith to feel all his want and longing through the kiss. He had been so distracted for the past few months that he had not even thought about intimacy with Lilith, but now that a moment had presented itself to him, he wanted to take it. Once she was willing.

He squeezed her thigh and his hand slowly crept upwards. Once he was high enough, his thumb brushed against the seam of her underwear, and at that touch, her skin spasmed. Breaking the kiss at the sudden action, Lilith released a shaky breath against Raymond’s lips.

“Raymond?”

“I know that this is not the most ideal time, but I don’t think I’ll be able to get this image of you out of my head for the rest of the day. You look absolutely ravishing Lilith.” He leaned down and kissed her neck. “If you want me to stop, then we can…” He gave her another kiss and brushed his fingers against her underwear once again.

Lilith had thought about her first time with Raymond way too many times. She wanted it to be perfect and so she had come up with all these different scenarios in her head as to how it would happen and when. She got the when kind of down, but definitely not the how. They had just ripped her wedding dress and now were on Raymond’s bed, hands on each other and a few moments away from having sex.

“I do want this.” she said.

Raymond smiled and rested his head in the crook of her neck for a couple of seconds before kissing her again. “Good.”

Following that was the next couple of hours of Lilith and Raymond getting lost in a bliss that they never wanted to leave. It was just them and no one could disrupt the peace they had together. They got to know each other's bodies inside and out. All the ways Raymond could make Lilith’s toes curl and how Lilith could make Raymond lose his cool and become so undone. A side that only the other would ever see and that was how they wanted it to be.

“I think we missed everything.” Lilith said as she looked out of the window at the orange sky.

Raymond hummed into her. “Nothing to worry about. And definitely nothing as important as what we had done.”

Lilith sighed into his embrace, her breath tickling his neck. Their legs were tangled together and Raymond’s head rested on hers as she had hers buried in his neck. They were both too sore and exhausted to move. Lilith thought that she would do it only once for her first time, but they went until Lilith had to beg Raymond to stop because of how sensitive she was.

“People were probably waiting for so long. I wonder if someone came up to look for us.” At that thought, heated mortification settled on Lilith’s cheeks. “Oh God…”

Raymond chuckled and rubbed her back. “It’s alright. I don’t think that happened. But people would have put two and two together and figured out what happened. So don’t worry yourself.”

“Your mother…”

“She’s going to be furious.”

“...Yeah…”

After the wedding, they took a little time to have a honeymoon before returning and getting back to work. Lilith is not one hundred percent sure on how to do things but Raymond was there to help her and with her knowledge of history, she is able to do what she needed to, just fine.

They also began to try for a child, almost every day, they are both hoping that she could conceive. The thought of being a mother is something that scared Lilith but with the constant pushing from Nora, she listened along, knowing that she would have help if she gives birth. For a while, she did not get pregnant and Lilith began to think that she may be infertile.

This concern reached Nora, and she obviously was not the happiest about that. And then someone heard Nora talking about it to one of her servants and so the news that Lilith might actually be infertile spreads like wildfire. It really affected her mentally and Raymond and Lilith stopped trying for a while.

“What if they are right?” Lilith whispered.

“They aren’t. I promise they aren’t.” Raymond held her shaking body and wiped away her tears. “There’s nothing wrong with you. Some things just take longer. It’s just not the right time for a child, is all this means. Ok?”

Lilith shook her head. “After all of this. All the things we had to go through and I can’t even get pregnant.” Her lip quivered once again as all the negative thoughts she had bubbling up in her brain exploded. “I'm sorry Raymond. What am I going to do?”

The King was stumped for a second as he tried to think of a way to comfort his wife. “If you can’t conceive a child then we can always adopt one. Who cares if it’s not our child by blood, we can love it all the same, right?”

Lilith pouted. She had not thought of that. “But your mother-”

“Lilith…” he squeezed her. “Stop thinking about my mother for a second. This is not about her. It’s about us. Who cares what my mother thinks. If this is what will be best for us then I think we should do it.”

They still decided to visit a doctor to get to the bottom of their problems and find out that Lilith is completely healthy and they just have to keep trying. A couple more months pass of them trying and during that time they do decide to adopt a child. A baby girl with bright blond hair and deep brown eyes, named Olivia. And after all that time, all that patience and a whole lot of sex, they were finally able to conceive a child.
