At The Technology Company.

The police and the men who came to claim the company were still parading around the area, while all the workers stood to one side watching them.
It was clear that everyone was waiting for Olivia, the boss, to arrive. Without her presence, they couldn't take over the company.
The workers wanted Olivia to confirm the truth of their words, ensuring they weren't fabricating a story to take control of the company.
Before long, Olivia arrived in her car, skidding to a halt due to the tense situation.
As Olivia emerged, her manager and the rest of the workers felt a wave of relief and reached out to her.
"You're welcome, ma'am," the manager said, bowing slightly. Olivia, however, ignored the greeting, focusing on the men approaching her.
"Are these the people you mentioned?" she asked in a hushed tone, glancing at the manager who affirmed with a nod, while they stood back as the men and police closed in.
Olivia scrutinized their faces, realizing she had never seen them before. This unfamiliarity made her doubt their intentions; they had no prior dealings with Adam, of that she was certain.
"Good day, ma'am! Is the boss, Adam Kindle, around, or... are you... his wife?" One of the men inquired, causing her to nervously clutch her handbag and take a small step forward, their eyes locked in an intense gaze.
"No, he's my boss. I'm his manager, his P.A.," she replied, with the man gazing at her, a hint of a smirk playing on his face as he gestured towards his companion.
"So, you're his manager, and he's your manager too? How does that work?" he asked pointing at the other guy, as Olivia shook her head firmly, her expression determined.
There were no smiles exchanged as she silently urged them to get to the point and explain why they were there.
"That's none of your business," she retorted, as the other man on the left side stepped forward.
"You're correct, but I recommend that you contact your boss yourself because we had an agreement with him involving a billion dollars," he stated, folding his arms, while Olivia maintained her gaze, waiting for him to continue.
"He has failed to uphold the agreement, and we have come to demand a refund of the money, or else we will take over this company, as stated in our documents," they declared, producing some papers and handing them to her.
Rather than accepting the documents immediately, Olivia paused, studying them before finally taking them and scanning their contents.
After a brief moment of review, she shook her head, took a deep breath, and returned the documents to them.
"My boss is not here, and I am not familiar with this deal at all. I had no prior knowledge of it," she stated, leaving the men exchanging puzzled looks.
"Are you suggesting..." the man started to say, but Olivia cut him off before he could finish his sentence.
"I haven't made any accusations yet. I simply meant that I was unaware of this deal and do not recall it. I am well-versed in the deals approved by my boss," she clarified, as Man 3 stepped forward.
"There's no need for alarm. Perhaps you should contact your boss to verify. It seems like the best course of action at the moment," one of the men suggested, glancing at the others, who all nodded in agreement.
Despite their apparent confidence and coordination, Olivia remained unfazed, standing her ground.
"I regret to inform you that I am uncertain if this document bears my boss's signature. I don't need to consult him in situations like this because I am well-informed..." Olivia began, but was interrupted by one of the men reaching for the documents and reopening them, pointing to a signature in the book.
"Here, he signed it. You can see the signature," he insisted, gesturing to the signature. Olivia couldn't help but smile inwardly, knowing they had made a crucial mistake. It only reinforced her belief that they were nothing but criminals.
"I'm sorry, but I do not recognize that signature," she stated boldly, causing them to exchange uncertain glances.
"Listen, we didn't come here to play games. You need to refund that money or face us in court!" one of them declared angrily before storming off to his car, followed by the others as they drove away.
The police officers who had accompanied them also made to leave, but Olivia called out to them. "Hold on! I need the company to stay open. Why are you all leaving like this? you had my company closed" she shouted, her voice tinged with frustration.
"The company will remain closed until the court case is resolved," one of the officers responded, leaving Olivia perplexed.
"But there's no lawsuit filed yet, so what case are you referring to?" she inquired, noticing the officer's discomfort.
The officer hesitated, struggling to find the right words. It became apparent to Olivia that the group of men, including the police, might be colluding to take over the company, possibly through bribery.
"I... well, you still need to come to the office to collect the keys," he finally managed to say before retreating to his car with the other officers, driving off as Olivia stood watching them go.
She began to strategize in her mind, determined to reclaim her company and set things right. Despite their current belief that they had succeeded, she knew that a government-licensed company couldn't be taken over so easily.
She would be even happier if they invited her to the court, the only place where she could prove them all wrong.
"Ma'am, what should we do now?" her manager asked as he approached and stood beside her, watching the police cars drive away.
"You heard them. I will go to their office to get the company running again. For now, tell all the workers here to go home and relax. They will be back to work as soon as the company reopens," she said, looking at the manager who nodded. She then got into her car and drove off.

Alpha Dean's Pack.
Jared and Ryan sat together outside the pack, with Ryan assisting Jared in tending to his injury.
Although Ryan was not a doctor, he possessed some basic skills in treating wounds, which he used to help Jared. He gathered some leaves, ground them, and then applied them to Jared's facial wounds.
"Aaah!!!!" Jared screamed loudly, feeling intense pain.
"Take it easy, you'll be okay soon," Ryan reassured him, watching him breathe heavily.
Jared could have attempted to use his regenerative abilities to heal himself, but it appeared that the alpha's claws were poisonous and interfered with his healing powers, rendering them ineffective. This led Ryan to offer his help.
"Thank you, I should have known you were this kind," Jared expressed his gratitude, while Ryan smiled and sat beside him, engaging in conversation as they gazed into the distance.
Jared sat up, taking a deep breath. "I'm curious, Ryan, why did you choose to betray your alpha? That's not the person I thought you were," Jared inquired, and Ryan nodded in response.
"Thank you. I should have known you were this kind," Jared expressed his gratitude as Ryan offered a slight smile, sitting beside him as they conversed, gazing into the distance.
Jared then sat up, taking a deep breath. "Ryan, I'm curious. Why did you decide to betray your alpha? I never saw you as that type of person," he inquired, and Ryan nodded in response.
"I wasn't, but I needed the money Alpha Dean promised me. I wanted to start my own pack and have my own territory. I'm tired of being a beta to someone who never listens to my advice," Ryan explained, causing Jared's eyes to widen.
"So, alpha Dean promised you money, and you betrayed your pack for that? Has he paid you the money yet?" Jared asked, to which Ryan shook his head.
"No, not yet," Ryan replied, prompting a wry smile from Jared, as he was already familiar with Dean's character.
"He hasn't paid you and but he made you a scout in his pack? Don't you think he's using you?" Jared questioned, leaving Ryan silently contemplating his words.
