Olivia had been away from home for a while now, leaving Gwen alone. She could have taken Gwen with her, but she didn't. As evening approached, Gwen managed to handle being by herself at home.
Sitting on a bench under the flower tree in front of the house, Gwen appeared uneasy, wrapping her arms around herself as if battling a heavy cold. Her gaze darted towards the road upon hearing a car approaching.
As expected, it was Olivia finally returning. Gwen quickly got up from the bench and rushed to greet Olivia. As Olivia stepped out of the car, Gwen embraced her, and they exchanged kisses on the cheeks.
"Welcome back. It must have been a challenging day out there, considering how long you were gone," Gwen remarked, taking Olivia's handbag before they headed inside.
"It was indeed a tough day. I had to visit the police station to obtain the factory license and ended up facing a lawsuit from some criminals," Olivia explained, causing Gwen's eyes to widen in shock.
"This is serious," Gwen murmured. Olivia took a deep breath as they entered the house. She removed her shirt, placing it on the couch before sitting down heavily, visibly drained from the day's events.
"Since they have sued you, what are you going to do now?" Gwen asked, studying Olivia's face, which bore a mix of a smile and confusion.
"What do you think I was going to do? I will face them in court, and I believe they conspired with some police officers to take over the company because I have solid evidence that they are nothing but criminals," Olivia said, swallowing nervously.
"I presented all the evidence against them, expecting the police to arrest them on the spot, but no, instead they summoned me to court," she concluded, leaving Gwen dissatisfied.
Olivia noticed Gwen's unease and paused, looking at her. "Are you okay?" she asked.
Gwen blinked, struggling to articulate her thoughts as she shook her head while gazing at Olivia.
"If you're certain they conspired against you, why confront them in court? What's the matter with you?" Gwen questioned, only to receive a shrug from Olivia.
"I don't understand. What are you trying to say? Of course, I am going to face them in court!" Olivia declared, tapping her chest, displaying unwavering determination that Gwen could see clearly.
It was evident that Olivia had a plan in place regarding the case, which made her believe strongly in herself. Gwen observed her and, realizing Olivia had everything under control, swallowed gently.
"What's the plan?" Gwen asked, her gaze confusedly fixed on Olivia.
"What plan?" Olivia replied, causing Gwen to stare at her with a serious expression tinged with fear.
"Olivia, are you saying you're going to confront the people you believe conspired against you at the court of law without a plan?" Gwen inquired, looking visibly worried and concerned.
"Yes! I have all the evidence I need to prove them wrong in court!" Olivia stated, shrugging her shoulders. Gwen remained silent, her gaze unwavering.
As Olivia gently removed her shoes, a wave of relief washed over her after having worn them all morning.
"Gwen..." Olivia started to speak but stopped when she saw the expression on Gwen's face.
"What is it?" Olivia asked.
"Olivia, don't be reckless! The evidence you mentioned couldn't have them arrested or reopen the factory. Facing these same people in court is very risky; they could have you sent to jail!" Gwen warned, her expression filled with concern.
"I..." Olivia began, only to be interrupted by Gwen.
"Olivia, please! You're all I have left now. Even if not for anyone else, do it for me. I've already lost so much. I don't want to lose you too," Gwen pleaded, prompting Olivia to nod and raise her hands in surrender.
"It's okay! I won't go to court. I'll just let them have the company instead. I won't go to court. Is that okay with you?" Olivia said, and Gwen breathed out gently as they briefly locked eyes.
"I know you must be hungry by now. I've prepared something for your return. Why don't you go take a bath so you can have lunch?" Gwen said, getting up from the couch and heading to the kitchen to arrange the food.
By the time she finished setting the table in the dining room, Olivia would have finished bathing, and they would dine together.

Alpha Dean's Pack.
Elena and Elisa were alone in the room; Dean was absent. They were engrossed in a crucial discussion, with Elisa seated on the bed and Elena by her side.
"I don't understand. Are you suggesting that I betray my alpha? I can't. What exactly are you asking of me?" Elisa said, shaking her head as she rose from the bed, seemingly unwilling to hear more.
"Don't be foolish, Elisa. I've observed everything here. I've witnessed how he mistreats you, how you endure suffering. I've promised you a better life elsewhere if you assist me with this. Don't tell me you've grown accustomed to suffering!" Elena exclaimed, her voice a mix of a whisper and a stern tone.
Upon hearing these words, Elisa gulped, took a deep breath, and gently caressed her hand before meeting Elena's gaze once more.
"Frankly, I would have willingly aided you in this matter, even without promises of a better life or status in your pack once we're free. However, I'm afraid and not in a position to convey that message," she explained, taking another breath.
"You know I'm just an omega, and the alpha has forbidden all Omegas from leaving the pack without his or Athena's or Max's consent. The penalty for such actions is death," Elisa added, prompting Elena to grasp her hand immediately, attempting to instill hope in her.
"You might have an idea. Perhaps try telling him that..." Elena was in the middle of speaking when Elisa cut her off.
"I'm sorry for interrupting, my Luna. But you underestimate the alpha you're married to. He will sense if I approach him about this. He's perceptive," Elisa remarked, causing Elena to feel deflated, letting out a sigh as she sat on the bed.
Uncertain of her next move, Elena realized the plan wouldn't work. Elisa was correct; Dean had caught her sneaking food to Mula in the cell when no one else had a clue.
"What's your next step?" Elisa inquired, observing Elena's despondent expression.
"I suppose there's nothing to be done. It seems we'll be here for a while, enduring much hardship before we can escape, assuming we're not already dead," Elena replied, shaking her head wearily.
"What about Jared? The alpha promised to appoint him as the scout king. He's been granted permission to leave the pack and return as he pleases," Elisa proposed, sparking a glimmer of hope in Elena.
While the idea was promising, Elena harbored doubts. "Will Jared agree? Do you think he'll join us? I worry he's too loyal and might betray us," Elena voiced, to which Elisa responded with a reassuring smile.
"Don't worry. Convincing Jared won't be an issue. Leave it to me; he won't be difficult, trust me," Elisa assured, flashing a small grin that Elena reciprocated.
"Alright, that's settled. There's one more thing I need you to do for me," Elena remarked, retrieving a key from Dean's drawer, causing Elisa to look at her with a concerned expression.
"Okay, that's good. There's something else I need you to do for me," Elena said as she reached into Dean's drawer and retrieved the dungeon key, causing Elisa to look at her with a concerned expression.
"That's the dungeon key, the key to the cell? What do you plan to do with that?" Elisa asked, her expression filled with worry as Elena moved closer.
"Please, do me this favor. Mula is the alpha we are planning all of this for, the alpha who will secure a better future for us. If hunger overtakes him, all our hopes and plans will be in vain. You must help me take food to him in that cell. I can't do it myself because Dean already suspects me," Elena pleaded.
Elisa's heart resisted the idea, knowing it was risky, but she also understood that it could lead to a brighter future for them.
