Taking out the trash
"What the fuck, it's you, Mélie?!" Damien Jaeger questioned inquisitively.
"What are you talking about?" I asked, still glued to him.
He sighed, "What the heck did you put on your face?"
I stared at him lost for a while, "Ohhh, you mean the avocado on my face?" I asked and burst into laughter when I saw the distraught look on his face. His arched eyebrows asked what was funny.
"I thought you saw a murderer or something." I said in-between laughs, "You really scared me, you know."
Damien Jaeger's lips drew into a frown and that made me realise that I had gotten a little too comfortable with my taunts.
"You wanna know what's funny?" His lips curled into a mischievous smirk. Instantly, the grin on my face disappeared.
"What are you planning to do?" I asked with caution.
Damien Jaeger tightened his grip around my body. Alert, I struggled to break loose, already sensing an approaching danger.
"What are you doing, Damien Jaeger?"
"Put me down." "You put me down right now!" But my pleading fell on deaf ears as a malevolent Damien Jaeger made his way to the plane door.
What was he planning to do? Oh no! I screamed inwardly as realisation dawned on me. He was going to open the door of the jet!
"Put me down, Damien Jaeger." I screamed at the top of my lungs, "You put me down right now!"
A wicked chuckle escaped his lips as he slipped his hand underneath my ass for the door handle.
"You're gonna get both of us killed, Damien Jaeger! Put me down!!!"
Someone gasped behind us. I cranked my neck to see the flight attendant, with a puzzled look on her face, "Oh." She exclaimed, unsure of what was going on between Damien Jaeger and I.
"I'm really sorry." She blurted right after Damien Jaeger gave her a murderous look and vanished into the direction of the cockpit.
No, no, no, no. Don't go away!
"Now," Damien Jaeger's voice drew my attention from the flight attendant to himself, "Where were we?"
"Oh, right. I was just about to throw you out of the jet." He had said it so casually like he would say, 'I was just about to go down to a hot cup of coffee'.
"Look, look. I- I'm sorry for laughing" I stammered desperately, "I won't ever do it again, so please put me down."
He hesitated with a bleak look on his face, "I don't know, you seem to find quite a number of things to be hilarious, Mélie."
"And I don't fancy clowns." "Unfortunately, my wife is one. Therefore,I must discard her."
"Or don't you think so, Mélie?" He was staring into my frightened face, his smirk not leaving his lips, "Should I discard my little clown wife?"
Was he being serious right now?!
His tongue made a clicking sound in his mouth when I gave no reply, "Quite unfortunate. The clown will be discarded then."
"Give the clown another chance!" I yelled at the top of my lungs when I saw him touching the door handle, "She's quitting the circus after this!"
Damien Jaeger laughed. His laugh was soft and throaty, giving him a friendly demeanour. I stared at him in amusement as he went on laughing. A smile creeped into my face. The fear was gone.
Damien Jaeger's eyes met mine as his laugh faded into the back of his throat, leaving a trail of smiles behind. This Damien Jaeger looked graceful, with the sudden resemblance of a guardian angel. I continued staring at him until he lowered me to the floor.
"Oh!" I exclaimed when his fingers brushed my thighs.
"Oh!" This time it was a shriek as I realised that nearly all of my thighs were exposed. The robe had shifted and had taken harbour behind my legs, leaving little room for privacy. Without giving Damien Jaeger another look, I thundered into the spa area, hiding a set of meaty thighs and crimson stained cheeks from sight!

"Mélie." A distorted voice called.
I grumbled and adjusted myself, caught up in the bliss of my dreams.
"Mélie, wake up."
"What is it?" I whined, opening my eyes which were heavy with sleep. Damien Jaeger's dark figure hovered above me.
"We are about to land, Mélie. Buckle up." He announced and walked out. I was in the bedroom space where there weren't any seatbelts. Quickly, I clumped out of bed and rushed to settle into one of the leather seats which had a safety belt.
"Thank you." I whispered to Damien Jaeger who was occupying a seat beside me. He could have just let me go on sleeping but was still cautious about safety protocols.
The jet captain mumbled something about the landing and the weather in Sydney, Australia which was about 14 degrees Celsius. A sudden shiver bruised my skin as he made that announcement and I snuggled myself in my cotton pyjamas. I turned to the window and looked at the landscape a good distance below me. Sydney was still asleep but the night lights did their job to adorn the city and give her a beautiful glow against the dead dark sky of midnight. Tall skyscrapers shattered around the city, sprawled on the ground. I bit my lips at my ill luck of not catching the view with the bright sunlight as a spotlight. Still, Sydney was definitely a beautiful city. The lowering of the jet told me that we would soon greet her on the ground floor.
My fists clenched in my palms and my eyes shut close.
"You good?" Damien Jaeger asked and I nodded without opening my eyes. The inside of a warm palm wrapped around my clenched fists and my eyes flew open. Damien Jaeger pressed into his phone without sparing me a glance. However, his hand remained on mine.
A smile creeped on my face as a sudden sense of security enveloped me. I closed my eyes again, this time unafraid of the landing.
