Maybach

The atmosphere roared with thunder and lightning flashed through the clouds. I stared out of the window of the suite Damien Jaeger purchased, into the pouring rain with an absent mind.

"You should stay away from the window when there's lightning." Damien Jaeger said. I turned to look at him. He was removing his blazer. His large biceps popped against his shirt.

"Why?"

He gave no reply and vanished into the bathroom.

The suite was very large and spacious, it contained a bed space with a king sized bed, a large living space with a 3 seater couch, a centre table and a tv set, a walk in closet and a very large bathroom containing both a Jacuzzi and a tub. Anyone could think Damien Jaeger and I were here for a honeymoon.

A knock came from the door and I went to answer it. A man dressed in uniform greeted and handed me a bottle of wine.

"An order was made earlier." He explained when he saw the clueless look on my face.

"Oh, thanks." I replied and started closing the door.

"I'm Mack by the way." He suddenly said, "Nice to meet you, miss…"

"Mrs Mélie Shapman." I said, "Thanks for the wine."

Closing the door, I almost dropped the bottle of wine from my hand when I realised that Damien Jaeger was glaring at me.

"Who was that?" He asked.

"Room service. Who else?"

He walked over to me and slipped his hand on mine. His eyes dug into mine, "I was waiting for this." He said and the bottle slipped out of my hand into his.

"Oh!" I exclaimed, "The wine."

A smirk appeared on his face as he studied me for a while, "Although having something else won't be a bad idea."

I swallowed, "Like what?"

"You wanna know?" He asked with mischief, his eyes turning a shade darker.

"Uhum." I muttered in reply.

He dropped the bottle on the drawer and turned back to me, "Why don't you perform your wifely duties tonight?"

"What?"

The mischievous smirk on his face looked even more mischievous and his husky voice alluring and seductive. A single step from him and we were barely an inch apart from each other. The hair on my skin shot up and regardless of the warmth of the room, I felt goosebumps on my skin.

"Are you scared of me, Mélie?" He asked.

"No." I replied with such slow caution that you could pick doubts in that single word.

Damien Jaeger sensed it, "Why?"

"We're not married, Damien Jaeger."

"We are." He replied, tracing imaginary lines on my shoulder.

I shivered as I continued, "We're not." "If we were married, you wouldn't hide it from the public."

"And you wouldn't go around fucking your babymamas, Damien Jaeger, and having them live in the same house as your wife."

Damien Jaeger chuckled but said nothing. His hands dropped to his side. I knew the moment was over. Part of me still wanted it to go on forever.

He picked up his bottle of wine and walked to the couch where he took his seat. A wine glass sat before him on the table.

"Sooner or later, Mélie. You'll have to perform your duties." He said.

Boop! I gasped as the bottle popped open. Damien Jaeger flashed me a look and turned to his wine, with his sardonic smirk haunting me as I watched him sip his wine.

Morning.

The exotic suite looked unknown as I opened my eyes that morning. The dazzling white against the gold on the wall, the foreign furniture and the room setting all seemed different. After a few seconds in my thoughts, I remembered that I was a thousand miles away from home.

A white piece of paper caught my eyes as I turned towards the side drawer. Rolling over to the edge of the bed, I picked up the note and read it. It was a note from Damien Jaeger telling me to be ready in a few hours for yet another meeting which, unfortunately, he would be going ahead of me.

"...a vehicle will be at the hotel to pick you up." I concluded reading the note.

Why didn't he just wake me up? I thought. Or call at least.

I got out of bed and walked into the bathroom for a warm bath. I was to leave the hotel at 2 pm so I still had a few more hours to spare.

2 pm crawled like a snail as I waited for its arrival. This would have been a great chance to tour the city of Sydney but I didn't want to get too carried away and fascinated by the city that I would miss the car that was assigned to pick me up so I remained on the hotel premises instead, occupying a bench in the reception.

"Mélie Shapman?" Someone called.

I raised my head to a man dressed in a chauffeur's uniform, "That's me." I replied.

"Sir sent me to pick you up." He said. I rose to my feet without further questioning and followed him outside.

A black Maybach was parked in front of the hotel. The chauffeur opened the door for me before taking the wheel.

"Where exactly is this meeting going to be held?" I asked the driver after we had driven for hours. "Mister." I called again when he gave no reply."

Did he not hear me?

The time on my phone said it was already past 3 which means that we have been driving for over an hour. An unknown number flashed on my screen, "Mélie, where the fuck are you?" Damien Jaeger snapped on the line.

"What do you mean? I'm already on my way."

"On your way? The driver is still at the hotel waiting for you."

"What are you saying? The driver is driving me right now."

"Give that to me right now!" A pair of hands yanked my phone from my hand. It was the deed of the driver.

My face squeezed in exasperation and confusion, "Hey, why would you just take my phone from me? Give it back."

"Now you listen to me. You'll do as I say and maybe you won't get killed."

"What?" I asked, fear already building up inside of me, "You're not Damien Jaeger's driver."

"No I ain't!" He replied with a satanic grin.

The city was behind us as the Maybach drove full speed on the free road. The place was already growing dark and my heart beat a hundred times faster as I feared the unknown.

A sudden urge to pee, "Please stop the car!" I started yelling at the top of my voice, "Stop the car!"

"Will you shut the fuck up?!" The driver yelled angrily and slowed the car to a stop, "What the hell is the problem?"

"I need to pee." I replied in a tone of desperation.

"No."

He started the engine but I broke into tears, "For goodness sake, You're a grown ass woman. Hold it till we get to the boss." He snapped angrily.

"I cant." I whined, "I need to go now."

The driver sighed and got down from the car to open the door for me, "Get down." He barked.

I obeyed.

"You can go behind those bushes over there." He said pointing to some bushes across the road.

I hurried to the bushes and unzipped my pants as I squatted to pee. When I noticed he wasn't looking, I tiptoed a good distance and broke off running into the thick forest in front of me.
