Transformation

Ashlyn's POV
"What,what are you saying Roselia?" I stuttered in shock as I stared at her in disbelief.
"I did not want to believe it too. You're a vampire and all. Vampires can't procreate but I've been noticing you and this morning,it became obvious to me that you were pregnant." She said and my head was spinning.
I was pregnant. Pregnant with Lucifer's child and now that child was gone due to his brutality.
I was baffled. I had a child growing inside of me all these while and I had no idea about it. I was shocked and I held my stomach and laid sideways on the bed sobbing silently.
I should be glad that the replica of Lucifer growing inside of me was gone but I wasn't. The child was also mine too. A part of me.
"I'm sorry mi'lady. But I still wonder how you got pregnant." She said.
I could not respond to her. I could not tell her I was an hybrid. I was not even thinking properly.
All I knew was that I had a child growing inside me and she was no more. She was dead. Dead and gone and never returning.
I cried the more at the thought of that. Roselia patted my arm. "I'll get you some ginger tea." She said and walked out of the room.
Roselia's POV
I was baffled by it all. A vampire could not get pregnant but Ashlyn had. Was she a different breed? Was there even anything like a different breed of vampires? I wondered to myself.
Then I saw the alpha sitting to himself,meditating in fury.
"Alpha," I said.
"Not now Roselia," he said without opening his eyes to look at me. He was familiar with my voice.
"It's now or never my lord." I said to him and he opened his eyes sharply at me. I could see he was furious. Not just with Ashlyn but with himself.
"You do not need disturbance I know that but what I'm about to say is something you should be aware of." I said to him. Something that would change his birth stars predicted long ago.
"Speak." He said.
"The young Miss was carrying a child." I said to him.
He stared at me narrowing his eyes. "What?" He asked in skepticism.
"The lady Ashlyn was with a child but now has lost it." I said to him.
He stared at me in disbelief. "That's impossible. She's a vampire." He said.
"That's what I thought too my lord." I said.
He looked away. "She lost it?" He found it hard to ask it.
"Yes my lord." I said to him and he did not respond and I thought it best to leave him in peace. Perhaps he's in grief and not showing it.
Ashlyn's POV
I held my stomach still curled up in bed suddenly realizing that all the signs were there but I was oblivious to them because of my predicament. I thought so much about my sufferings that I did not connect properly with the child that was inside of me.
I sobbed continuously and all of a sudden,I felt a different feeling inside of me. Something awakening. Someone that had not shown up since I had my first shift at the age of nine.
My bones began to crack and the hair at the nape of my neck,stood to a still. I groaned in pain as I got off the bed. I let out an howl as my hairs grew longer and began covering my whole body. I could not let anyone see me this way. My canines were already sprouting out and just then the door opened and I saw Roselia standing there in shock and the teacup she was holding drop on the floor in a thud and shattering into pieces.
I was horrified as I made it to the window and jumped through it,it glass frame shattering. All I wanted was to run away from them before they found out who I was.
I could hear voices from behind me and I knew I was being chased. I could not run any longer as she took over me. I howled in pain. Every moment of the change as painful as it was the first time. She sprouted out,replacing my icy blue eyes with her hazel ones as the thickness of her gray fur covered me.
She took charge and was finally out. She stood in her graciousness and looked up at the full moon.
This is Iona my wolf that had stayed hidden from me since my first shift. She'd never spoken to me since then. I was about to ask her a lot of questions when she turned around and I heaved at the sight of Lucifer before us. A few of his pack members a distance away from him.
The instant he laid eyes on Iona,he growled deeply and I was wondering what was happening. His eyes turned fiery red different from the golden one I was familiar with. I was perplexed. What was happening to him?
His hands stretched sideways as they curled. He threw his head backwards as his growl became louder and deeper as huge canines grew from his mouth.
I gasped. He was transforming.
Lucifer's POV
After Roselia had told me Ashlyn had been pregnant and had lost the child,I was weak to my knees. I just sat there unable to think straight. I could not even go to see her. I had wondered what to tell her? How to look at her?
Few minutes after she had told me,I heard the the sound of shattering glasses and was about to go find out what was happening when I saw Roselia rushing down the stairs in fright.
"What is it Roselia?" I asked her.
"It's Lady Ashlyn.. she's.." She could barely form words.
"Speak!" I was running out of patience.
"She just jumped out of the window and.." I had not waited for her to complete her words when I ran out of the house and immediately caught sight of her.
She was changing. Changing into a wolf! My mistress was not an ordinary vampire,she was an hybrid!
And at her transformation, something stirred inside of me. An awakening. Could this all... I could barely finish thinking when she turned to look at me and immediately Steel broke free. Free from the bondage he'd been kept for years.
Free from the mind cage he'd been locked up for years. I could not refrain from it as he took over and took total possession of me.
This time around,it was not just longer canines or claws,it was the whole of him and when he emerged,his golden eyes were replaced with his red ones. His golden eyes were just a reflection of the real power in him,his real self. His red eyes was the authentication of his real being.
He was fully in his form as he stood with his red eyes in all his glory staring at Ashlyn's wolf. I heard the shocked gasps from behind me and I knew they had seen it all. For the first time since their leader was born,this was his first transformation. I did not pay much attention to it as Steel had me glued to this gray wolf before me and we were both lost in her hazel eyes.
