Spellbound

Ashlyn's POV
It was quite shocking to have Lucifer by my side from mid noon to dusk. I should not think about it too much. After all, he had multiple of sex with me and took me to the bed just to continue with it and he also did not hold me to himself.
Perhaps he needed a little rest before leaving. Whatever the case may be, I studied the man before me sleeping with so many worries etched on his face. I wondered what was going on in his mind.
"Quit staring or I might believe you want to get laid again." His voice came out huskily still having the effect of the previous moments in them.
I shook my head even though he did not open his eyes. He chuckled. I could never match his lustful appetite.
Just then his eyes narrowed and his brows formed a thin v-line as he drew them together.
"Leave." He said through tight lips.
"Lucifer?" I called wondering what was wrong.
"Leave!" He yelled this time as his eyes flew open revealing his beastly ones. His demon wanted out and he was struggling to keep him inside till I was gone.
I refused to leave as I got off the bed and before I could shift into Iona, in a flash he was out of the bed and he grabbed me by my neck.
Tears stung my eyes at the tight and painful grip his hand had on my neck.
He pinned me to the wall growling as I coughed holding his hand in frantic despair. He was shaking his head trying to put himself together and slightly releasing his hold on my neck but the demon in him would not let him take control as his eyes radiated the vicious pool black of the demon.
He was hellbent on snatching life out of me and he succeeded. He bellowed loudly and before my eyes closed, I saw my bedroom door burst open with Kill and Rage rushing in.
He let go of me and I dropped to the ground with a thud and everything blacked out.

I fluttered my eyes open as the rays of the sunlight filtered onto my face. I let out a painful sigh and realized I was on the bed as I struggled to stand up.
"Relax milady." I heard Roselia's voice beside me as she raised her hand lowering me down to lay still.
I shook my head. "What happened?" I asked as I got to a sitting position on the bed, Ripper and Stealth walked in.
"He was out of control," Ripper said.
"Your vampiric self saved you from going beyond the other side of life," Stealth said. He was right. An average human would have been dead.
"Where's he? I have to meet him." I said getting off the bed in frantic desperation.
Ripper held me back. "I'm afraid milady that at this point you should not go close to Lucifer." He said.
"Why?!" I cried out.
"He's at the peak where the full moon has complete control over him. He would not be able to control the actions of the demon inside of him." Ripper said.
"What are you saying?" I inquired staring at him with the hope that he'll let me go.
"He's at his worst vampire and does not need anyone around him, especially a woman," Stealth said.
I shook my head not accepting it. "I calm him down!" I yelled it at them just in case they have forgotten I do.
Ripper nodded and blinked back. "You'll keep calming him down after this week. For now, let him vent underground." He said.
I slumped on the bed and placed my hands on my face fighting back the tears in my eyes. I should not be doing this, I should not care but I did. I could not fight my emotions. I could not fight it at all. Everything was against me. All the odds were stacked against me. Even my heart was against me for falling for a man without my consent. A man that would never reciprocate what I was feeling for him.
"Milady," Roselia called holding my shoulders as she sat beside me. I turned around to her and fell into her arms and the tears I held back flowed freely as I sobbed on her lap.
"I just want to be with him. He needs me." I said to her amidst tears and she stroked me lovingly and let out a sigh.
"Why do you care for him so much?" I heard a male voice and I lifted my head from Roselia's body and I saw Kill.
"Because...because.." I did not even know how to tell him. How could I say it? Even I could hardly believe it myself.
"What does it matter now?" Roselia said. "It should gladden our hearts that a woman finally cares for the Laird. Is that not what we all want?" She asked him and he looked away.
I placed my head back on her lap and closed my eyes as she stroked me.
"Lucifer will have us hanged if anything happens to you so I beg of you not to go close to him." Kill said and I nodded. I was not going to listen, but why make them know I would not when I could easily deceive them into thinking I would?
"The Highland Alpha Games are over?" I asked as I opened my eyes.
"Today is the last day of it and, unfortunately, Lucifer cannot participate in today's own." Kill said.
"This side of him usually comes out in the middle of the month and we're not even there yet!" Stealth said shaking his head.
"Why not cancel the Games and let it be postponed?" I asked them.
"It will arouse suspicions for it has never been done in history." Kill said.
"And we have enough suspicions already. Last night we were questioned about the growls heard." Ripper said.
"This month is usually the toughest time in the Nightwing house," Stealth said shaking his head.
"We all have to support our Laird. That's what makes us stronger." Kill chirped in and as they left the room after their sermons, I told Roselia I wanted a ginger tea and she hastily left to get it for me.
The coast was clear and I made my way to the weapons room and pulling the arm of the metallic statue, the shelf gave away and I dashed into the secret passageway before they find out I was missing. I was glad they did not assign guards to the door of the weapons room.
I got to where Lucifer was and he was in his demonic beast form. He was hitting the walls of the underground in full force threatening to pull down the building if possible.
"Lucifer?" I called but he did not turn around as he continued with his violent nature.
"Lucifer!" I yelled at him and he turned around sharply and for a minute I saw humanity in his eyes until it changed drastically to full fury as he charged toward me. Why was he after women? I wondered as I turned on my swiftness abilities running around the walls of the underground.
In reality, he was a lover of women and in his demonic beast form, he was a despiser of women. Why?
I did not get to wonder for long when he raised a long arm claw and threw him off and I landed on the wall.
"Lucifer, listen to me. I know you're in there," I said to him as he walked towards me with heavy steps and heavy breathing. "You can fight this. You just have to try. Please listen to me." I said to him but this demon before me was not listening to me.
All he intended to do, was hurt me and ensure I ceased from living. Words could not penetrate into this beast's head.
He grabbed me again with his large claws threatening to break the bones in my neck as he raised me high while my legs dangled.
"Lucifer!" I managed to scream out and he immediately let out a deep growl as he dropped me on the ground and clenched his head tightly groaning hard as he wrenched his head moving away from me. Struggling to release himself from this demon form that he was in.
Soon Kill, Ripper, Stealth, Rage, and a few others got to us.
"Stand back!" I yelled at them to desist from trying to render him weak.
He turned around sharply at my voice. "It's alright," I said advancing towards him slowly. "This is just a phase. This is not you," I said to him and he stood there breathing heavily and hitting his chest. Tears welled up in my eyes as I saw the tiniest of emotions in his eyes. He was struggling hard to resist this part of him.
"You've overcome so many things. Even the strongholds of Dunbar, you overpowered them. You can do this too." I said to him and got to where he was. I placed my hand on his face and Iona revealed her eyes. He stared at me as I stared into his eyes. "This too shall pass," I assured him just as usual and all he did was stare at me as he went through the process of calmness.
