Full moon spell

Ashlyn's POV
I stared at the huge beast lying down on the floor completely paralyzed by the shots.
"Will he be alright?" I asked Ripper.
"It's the effects of the full moon. He'll be alright by dawn." He said.
Slowly I advanced towards him.
"Do not go any closer mi'lady," Ripper said trying to stop me but I paid no attention to him.
I was swayed by an unknown force to go closer.
"Stay back!" Kill barked at me. I ignored him. He was not Lucifer that I should fear.
The man I was afraid of was lying helpless on the ground.
"He's very aggressive around women when he's like this." Rage warned me but still, I did not listen.
I knelt down and stared at him. His big black eyes just staring with no feeling.
"Are you alright?" I tried to communicate with him through the mind link.
His voice came out rough and dark. Filled with gruesome horror. "Go away." He said but I did not listen to him too.
I sat there watching him as his nostrils kept flaring. He'd be roped in and tied to secure him from escaping. I touched his head gently with little or no fear inside of me. He flickered.
I wondered what he was thinking.
"You need to leave him now. It's going to be a rough night for him." Rage said.
"I'll stay here." I found myself saying unable to fathom why.
Ripper's POV
I stared at Ashlyn's figure on the floor beside Lucifer and I wondered why she was too foolish to notice her heart was already calling out to him and Lucifer, on the other hand, no one knew how he always feels among women since that one time.
No one in their right mind will go close to Lucifer in his state right now but she dared. Too much for a girl who was called dimwitted. I did not doubt that this fragile lady here could soften the heart of the beast lying on the floor.
"Milady, you should have some rest," I said to her but she blatantly refused.
"I said I'll stay here." She said raising her voice.
"It's an order." Kill said to her.
"You're not Lucifer to throw orders at me." She said to him with so much boldness and I was beginning to admire that.
"If you insist on staying then, we'll give him more shots so he would not devour you at midnight," Stealth said and She shook her head.
"Do not inject him any further. Can you not see the pain he is in?" She asked, her voice choked with tears.
"It's for his good. You have not been here during the full moon days to know what happens with him." Rage said.
"He's an animal under the spell of the full moon. He can't control it and does not even know when he hurts someone." Kill said to her.
"This is the time of the month whereby Lucifer is very unpredictable," Stealth said.
"I wonder what you were doing down here, what if you'd been hurt?" I asked thinking about it.
"That is my fault, Ripper. I sent her down here." Kill said narrowing his eyes knowing he'd made a mistake.
"What? Did Lucifer ask you to do that?" I questioned him.
"No. He gave instructions that she should be given a task." He said.
"Do you not know that this is his abode at this period?" Stealth inquired too.
"I know that but I did not expect it to be too soon. He had his first transformation under the full moon, I had somewhat believed since his real lycan was out, this beast before us would never come to life again." Kill explained justifying his actions.
"Milady?" I called Ashlyn.
"Y'all should leave. I'll stay here and if I end him being devoured by my master, so be it." She said with so much confidence.
"Let's leave the lady in peace," I said to them.
"Leave?!" Kill exclaimed.
"How outrageous!" Rage exclaimed too.
"You know very well what went down nine years ago. Lucifer will not be pleased if such an occurrence happens again and that we were very much aware of it!" Stealth said too.
I understood where they were headed while Ashlyn looked confused at us.
This was almost like the very night Celine died, almost like the same scenario.
"What happened nine years ago?" Ashlyn asked and we all stared at each other refusing to give out such crucial information without the permission of who it was related to.
"Gentlemen, shall we?" I asked moving aside and pointing at the door.
They hesitated. "If there should be a problem by the morn, I swear it will be on your head," Stealth said as he walked out of the door.
"Do not say you were not warned, Ripper." Rage said and walked out too.
"When dawn shall rise, be accountable for what shall transpire tonight." Kill said and walked away too.
With each man done with giving their warnings and left, the rest of the men that held Lucifer down earlier before walked out too. I was convinced I was not wrong in letting her be alone with him.
None of Lucifer's mistresses have been close to him during his dark moments but here was Ashlyn despite all the cruelty shown to her by him, she sat by his side watching him.
Something told me tonight would be a beginning of a great journey.
Ashlyn's POV
They all left, every single one of them while I watched Lucifer. I tried communicating with him again but he did not respond to me. Either he was shutting me out of his head or he did not hear me. Whatever the case may be, I still sat by his side. Why I was there and not glad that he was in this situation frightens me.
I kept feeling a rush as I watched him growl. What was wrong with me? What was this sudden feeling that was pumping the blood in my veins?
I could not explain it. I could not tell it. It was not comprehensive but yet I felt it in my heart and my head. A feeling I did not understand.
The clock struck twelve and Lucifer began to growl. I panicked. The door was just right there for me to escape if I wanted to but I did not.
His growling became deeper and louder as he snapped at the ropes used to binding him.
"Lucifer?" I called him and he roared gnashing his teeth.
Run. My instincts told me but my feet kept rooted to the ground.
He snapped the ropes off his body and charged towards me. He bellowed so loudly that my hair flew around me.
He lifted his claws to end my life and instantly my wolf eyes emerged and connected with Steel's own. "It's me," I whispered in his head and he moved back clutching his head tightly as he groaned.
What gave me confidence that he'd not hurt me was baffling but here I was fighting his demons with him. Watching him wrestle with himself.
He moved once more to alter another attack when Iona sprouted out and I transformed.
He stared at my wolf as I tried communicating with him telepathically.
He dropped to his knees growling and making incoherent sounds. He was there like that for hours till he fell flat on the floor with his eyes wide open. I shifted back to human form as I placed my hand on his head stroking it.
"This too shall pass," I assured him as I placed my head on his head and he let out a huff. I chuckled and closed my eyes. Emotions swirling inside of me.
Roselia's POV
As quickly as dawn came, I went to check on the young Laird and I found him lying down asleep in his human form with the young Miss placing her head on his and asleep too.
They both looked so perfect for each other. At last, I could say, things could get better.
He'd be free from this bondage inflicted on him as a price he had to pay just to be the son of the Saunron household. He'd be free from the impending danger of his birth stars and the disasters meant to befall him.
Oh, if only the Laird would not be so stubborn and accept her as his mate, he could easily conquer this battle. He has been able to conquer so many battles but, not this battle with himself.
I summoned a maiden quickly to get a plaid to cover their nakedness.
She returned a few minutes later and the instant I covered them up, Ripper and the rest of his squad walked in and Ashlyn opened her eyes.
