Ashlyn's POV
She did return and I was giving a one of a kind treatment. My nails were attended to and were perfectly manicured with a lacquer cobalt blue nail polish and so were my feet.
I had even experienced how it was to be treated in a spa. The cucumbers placed on my eyes and the facial cream mask I had to wear.
My hair was straightened behind my back and the tips were curled up and when it was evening, I was slipped into the sleeveless dress.
The diamond necklace placed around my neck sparkled alongside the draping earrings in my ear holes.
The wristlet too fitted my hand and staring at the mirror, I was lost for words. Catriona had performed magic on my face. My eyebrows were highlighted and arched. On my lips was a cherry red lipstick and everything blended so well with my complexion.
I slipped into the heels and Catriona latched the straps around my ankles. I picked up the bottle of perfume and sprayed it behind my ears,each side of my neck and finally on each of my wrists.
I stood up from the chair and accessed myself in the mirror. Without the tight corset,I had a perfect shape and it was visible in the dress.
"If beauty was a person milady, it would be you." Catriona said making me blush.
"The Laird shall fall ten times on his feet tonight!" Roselia exclaimed.
I was blushing in embarrassment. Their appraisals making heat rise to my cheeks.
"You both made this happen." I said to them.
"What's a dress without a pretty face, milady? Nothing!" Catriona exclaimed.
I chuckled.
"Come, milady, we shall be your escort to the royal carriage." Roselia said taking my hand in hers and leading me down the stairs.
The surprise and shock Sia, Juliette and Meredith had on their faces was something I would never have wanted to miss. Who's in charge now hm? Who's the favorite? Who was picked out of the rest? Me. I smirked as I walked past them.
We walked out of the house and I found Ripper, Kill, Rage and Stealth standing outside and at the side of the carriage with their jaws dropped.
"I do not believe the Laird would like you staring at his lady in such manner." Roselia reprimanded them.
"Forgive us Roselia but we cannot afford not to notice the creation of the moon goddess." Stealth said and they all agreed with him.
"Where are we going?" I asked,my curiosity getting the better part of me. And where was Lucifer? I have not laid my eyes on him since he left this morning.
"Patience milady, you shall find out soon." Ripper said.
"We are your escorts to the destination the supreme Laird of all creatures has asked us to bring you too." Kill said with pride.
"We're at your service, milady." Rage said smiling as he bowed his head and they did the same too.
I heaved suddenly feeling tensed.
"Shall we?" Ripper asked as he extended his hand and I placed mine on his as he took me away from Roselia and helped me into the carriage.
"Have a delightful evening my dear." Roselia said with so much enthusiasm and I smiled at her. Kill, Rage, Stealth and Ripper mounted on horses and signaled for the coach to move.
Slowly the wheels of the carriage began to roll and we were moving on the rocky pathway.
I thought about so many things and they all had to do with Lucifer. Was he taking me out on a date? If not that,what was all the special treatment for?
The carriage curtains were dropped. I was not allowed to take a peek or have the slightest knowledge where I was being taken. What if I'm taken away for sacrifice? To be slaughtered? I shook my head at the stupid thought. Lucifer could not do that. I trusted him completely.
I was very sure it took an hour to get to where I was being taken to. The carriage stopped and the curtains opened.
"We're here." Stealth said smiling as he stretched forth his hand and I placed mine on it and he helped me down the carriage.
To me, we were practically in the middle of nowhere. Great, I'm like a buttered up lamb for sacrifice.
They all came down from their horses and led me into the woods and stopped.
"Just keep walking down and you shall see what you seek." Kill said. What did I seek? I wondered.
"This is our stop." Ripper said and I nodded.
Nervously I walked down. Good Lord,it was hell walking in heels in the woods but I beared the pain for whatever I seek. What I would find there would be worth these pains.
The rough path I just walked through suddenly had a clear opening as I pushed aside a thorn of long branches and my eyes were immediately blinded by the sight before me.
I gasped at the radiant light in here. By my left was a waterfall and around this waterfall was green plants and flowers and rocks. At my right side was a cabin. I gasped as I heard the tweeting of birds. The Mockingjay, the bluejay, the hyacinth macaw all flew around before nestling back in tree branches. It felt like Eden revisited.
Just then I saw Lucifer coming from behind the waterfall dressed too in a royal blue tuxedo and he looked.. what was the word?? I could not place my fingers on it.
He was.. irresistible. His hair falling behind his back and smoothened down.
When he smiled,I lost my head. How could one person be this hot?
