Preparations

Ashlyn's POV
Lucifer returned back and began to take off his boots.
"What did you go down to do? I heard voices." I said to him.
"Just a little amount of what I would do to who pulled such stunt tonight." He said to me. He discarded his clothes too and walked towards the bed.
"I told you to let it be." I said to him.
"And I do not obey orders given to me," he said lying down beside me. "I give orders not take them." He said pulling the plaid off me and tugging at the zipper of my dress.
I stared at him. "Should you not spare me for tonight?" I asked him having the feeling he wanted to have sex with me.
He raised a brow. "What do you think I want to do?" He asked me.
"You know it." I said as he lifted me up pulling the dress off me and throwing it to the floor.
"Yes I do know what I want to do." He said and as he got rid of my clothes,he pulled me closer, entwining his legs with mine.
His arms wrapped around me and my body crushed on his. "Body heat is the fastest way to get rid of cold." He whispered softly in my ears.
I chuckled. Here was I thinking he was about to get me laid. I and my dirty mind. But, it was not my fault. He spoiled me.
He did not try to touch me as he held me close to himself. I even laid sprawled on him and still yet,he did not move.
"Lucifer?" I called him.
"Go on." He urged.
"Why are the prisoners still locked up?. Have they not learnt their lessons yet?" I asked him.
"You've been told? By whom?" He inquired.
"Does it matter?" I said instead of divulging Catriona's name.
He cleared his throat. "I have not seen a sign of remorse yet in them. They have to seek atonement for their rebellion, and until they come to me and prove to be repentant then will they be free to go back to the way they lived." He said and I sighed not saying anything more.
In the middle of the night, I laid atop him and wriggled sometimes on him trying to lay comfortably and then I heard his silky voice. "If you continue with this, I might just turn you over and blow your back out till the sun rises up." He said huskily and I knew what he was talking about.
"Would it not be part of the body heat?" I asked him as I raised my head from his chest looking up at him.
He pulled my nose chuckling. "I've spoilt you way too much." He said.
I smirked. "You actually admitted that." I said to him.
He smiled and pulled me up to reach his lips and he feathered a kiss on mine and placed my head back on his chest holding me. "I want you this way. This intimacy is better." He said stroking my arm. I smiled as I closed my eyes. I wanted this way too.

And that was how we stayed till the sun was high up in the sky. I rolled out of his arms and he pulled me back.
"I did not say you could leave just yet." He said and I turned to look at him. I chuckled. His eyes were still closed as I admired his face. His jawlines. His cheekbones. The perfect symmetry of nose and the conjunction it had with his tempting lips.
"I'm quite an hunk, I know that. Keep admiring my love,you have forever to do so." He said and I rolled my eyes.
"I was not staring at you in admiration." I said to him and turned to move away again.
He held me back and this time he pinned me underneath him.
"You cannot deny the fact that I'm handsome, woman." He said to me with his eyes widely opened.
I smirked. "I can deny whatever I want." I said to him.
"Tell me I'm handsome or else," he threatened.
"You cannot use force on me to tell you a lie." I said to him with sheepish eyes.
"What? So I'm not handsome uh?" He asked me.
I nodded unable to even lie. He was a hunk. I knew that. Everyone knew that.
"You're a terrible liar." He said and began to tickle me and I burst into uncontrollable laughter. "Admit it." He said.
"No." I said still laughing, curling up my legs to keep him away but he did not relent.
"Admit it, Ash or I won't stop." He said and I remembered how he could me Ash last night and it reminded me of Darius.
"Alright I will!" I yelled unable to hold his tickling anymore.
"I'm waiting." He said without stopping.
"You're the most handsome man I've got the grace to lay eyes upon." I said to him and he stopped tickling and stared at me with a smile.
"I know." He said smirking.
"You made me admit it for nothing?!" I yelled at him.
"No. I got butterflies hearing it from you." He said as he got off me and off the bed as he picked up his slightly wet shirt.
"Where are you off to?" I asked him.
"I've got something important to plan for," he said putting on the shirt without doing the buttons. He picked up his breeches and don them on. "I'll see you soon." He said as he walked closer to me and placed a kiss on my forehead and then on my breast.
"You're..." I did not complete my words when he interrupted me.
"Sauve. I know." He said grinning as he walked away. I stared at his tall frame as he walked out of the door. Everyday,he keeps me rooted in this love that I am unable to break away from.
I closed my eyes deciding to rest up a little before going down the stairs. The time I was spending with Lucifer was alleviating my unquestionable hunger. In some way,I was finding myself controlling the desire to over feed. Maybe in coming months, I'll finally be able to have it under control.

It was noon when I finally walked down the stairs and I went straight to the kitchen where I knew I would find Roselia but she was not there. Only Catriona and a few other helpers.
"Catriona, have you seen Roselia?" I asked her.
She shook her head. "No mi'lady. I have not set my eyes on her this morning." Catriona said.
"Alright. Thank you." I said walking away then I bumped into someone.
"Oh, I'm," I started to apologize and looked up to see Roselia. "Roselia!" I exclaimed. "I was just looking for you." I said to her.
"Oh my dear. I've been away on a special assignment from the alpha." She said with a smile.
"What assignment?" I asked her raising a brow.
"Come my dear," she said holding my hand and walking towards the stairs. "There's a special present the alpha has got waiting for you in your room." She said as we walked up the stairs.
"Special present? Oh please do tell me what it is Roselia." I pleaded with her.
"You shall see for yourself mi'lady." She said smiling and I was anxious to know what it was.
We got into my room and I saw four boxes laid out on the bed. I hastened towards it and picked the smallest of the boxes. I opened it and gasped at the diamond necklace on a black velvet case. It had matching earrings and bangles at the side. I could barely breathe.
"This is breathtaking." I said touching the diamond on the necklace.
"Would you not like to check the other boxes too mi'lady?" Roselia asked me.
I nodded and kept the box aside and picked up the medium sized one. I opened it to find a silvery clutch in it alongside a bottle of perfume. I sprayed the perfume on my wrist and inhaled the scent. It was pure heaven. A mixture of vanilla and marigold.
I kept it aside too and took the next box and I found a pair of heels in it. It had the same diamond embedded on it strap up to its latches. I was getting overwhelmed each minute as I imagined the thoughts that must have gone through Lucifer's head to get these gifts for me and I must confess,he had eyes for good things.
I picked up the biggest box and opened it. What was in there was a dress. A royal blue dress. I took the dress out of the box and placed it on my body going towards the mirror with a huge smile on my face.
The dress hit right above my knee at the front of my thigh while the back was much longer and flowing down to my feet behind me.
"I can barely breathe Roselia. Everything is just so lovely and expensive." I said to her turning around.
"The alpha wants you to look exquisitely lovely for tonight mi'lady." She said smiling.
"What's happening tonight?" I asked her curiously.
"He did not say. What he did say is what I've just told you mi'lady." She said.
"Oh." I exclaimed simply wondering what was going on in that devilish mind of his.
"I shall leave you to rest and I'll be back to prepare you for the Laird." She said and touched my cheeks before walking away. "Prepare me?"I thought aloud.
