Silent treatment

Ashlyn's POV
It was noon when I finally stepped out of my room. I walked down the stairs feeling very famished. Hungry for food and a little blood too. I walked into the kitchen to find Roselia making lunch with a few helps in the kitchen too.
"Just a few minutes milady, and lunch would be ready." She said just as if she knew why I was here.
I chuckled as I went towards a tin of biscuits. "I can have this till lunch is ready, init?" I asked her.
She smiled. "Yes milady." She said. I opened the tin of biscuits and munched on a few before heading out of the kitchen. Maybe I should speak to Lucifer and see if I could get a bag of blood or two.
I walked towards the living room and saw Alpha Hawking walking into the house with his beta beside him.
His eyes lit the instant he saw me. "My days on earth have been blessed to have seen the goddess of beauty herself this noon." He said to me.
I faked a smile at his flattery. I really do not know why Lucifer trusted this man when everything about him screamed fake.
"Welcome alpha," I said to him and he took my hand in his and placed a kiss on it.
"Please do call me Hawking," he said seductively.
I withdrew my hand from his. "I believe Lucifer would not like that." I said to him.
He chuckled. "Do not worry about the Laird." He said.
I frowned at him. "I would if I were you. Considering the way he react on the day of the Highland Alpha Games." I said to him.
His brows furrowed but he still laughed.
"Hawking, what brings you all the way to the Nightwing house?" I heard Lucifer's voice as he walked down the stairs.
I shivered a bit at the sight of him while he on the other hand pretended like I was not there. Like I did not exist. The bastard.
"That you love." Iona chipped in my head. I rolled my eyes.
"Am I not welcome here anymore?" Hawking asked him with a hearty laugh.
"Of course you are, but I must warn you,I no longer have mistresses in this house and the few women in the pack house are far out of your reach." Lucifer said to him.
Hawking laughed. "But what if one of the ladies take a liking to me and decides to go down with me?" He asked.
Lucifer grinned. "With her consent only then." He said to Hawking.
"Now that's what I'm talking about Helldog." Hawking said grinning too.
"I'll have an help get you settled in then we shall discuss about your sudden visit. I'm sure there is something." Lucifer said to him.
"There is something, Lucifer. A lot is going on." He said seriously and Lucifer nodded.
"Get settled in and we shall address the matter." Lucifer said to him and Hawking nodded and walked up the stairs.
Lucifer called for two helps and they came to him. He gave them instructions to follow and they nodded. When he was done,they picked up Hawking's belongings and headed up the stairs too.
All these while, he still did not spare me a glance.
Lucifer's POV
I was forcing myself not to pay a single attention to her, pretending she was not even in the room while what I really wanted was to hold her,forgive her, apologize for my inconsideration and admire her pretty face. I turned to walk away for fear that I would do exactly what I had in mind.
"Lucifer," her soft voice stopped me right on my tracks. "Is this the new development now? The silent treatment?" She asked me.
I said nothing. "Why are you pretending like I do not exist anymore?" She said and I could sense emotions taking over her. Hell,I would not be able to take it if she breaks down into tears.
I stood there refusing to turn around. " I do not want to talk to you." I said to her,my pride taking over. I was dying to hold her.
"Look at me," she demanded. "Look me in the eyes and tell me you do not want to talk to me. Turn around and look at me Lucifer." She said to me and the emotions were becoming evident in her voice.
"Turn around and tell me that I do not matter to you and that this silent treatment is what you actually want." She said to me and I turned around and walked closer to her.
"Heaven help me not to strangle you one day for making me fall helplessly in love with you." I said to her and she raised eyes glistened with tears at me.
"You did not want to speak with me." She said to me.
"Tsk," I sighed and pulled her into my arms. "It was all a charade. I could never stay angry at you for that long." I said to her.
"You gave me a sleepless night," she said,her head still on my chest.
I chuckled. "I saw you sleeping peacefully, Ash." I said to her.
"I was faking it. I saw you at the door." She said to me.
I stroked her hair and sighed. She raised her head and looked at me. "Do not ever punish me in this way again." She said.
"Never again." I said placed my lips on hers.

Hawking and I spoke in the study room and his visit was because of an uprising among Minors against the Majors in Perth. He believes something can be done. It was his land but to him, it was beyond his control and it was time the supreme Laird intervened.
My instincts told me the Majors probably must have upset the Minors to cause such uproar and I made a decision to have a meeting with the Minor clans.
As Hawking walked out of the study, Celine walked in and closed the door behind her.
"Do you need something?" I asked her.
She nodded. "Something very urgent Lucifer." She said walking round the desk towards me.
I raised a brow. "Which is?" I asked her. She pushed the swiveling chair back a bit and sat on the desk.
"You, Lucifer. I need you." She said spreading her legs in front of me and hell she wore nothing underneath. I could see every part of her vulva. A temptation a man usually finds hard to resist but not this time. I was ready to resist it.
I looked up at her. "Close your legs Celine." I said to her.
"Tell me you do not want this Lucifer. I know you do." She said to me.
"I have tasted enough women to know what I want Celine and if I ever feel on heat and the need to release I know exactly the place to do so and also find a comforting and lasting pleasure." I said to her and my mind immediately carved out the image of Ashlyn in my head.
"You do not want to taste what you've not tasted for years again?" She asked me.
I stared at her and stood up from the chair. She pushed me back to the chair.
"I do not care if you have her in your heart as long as I get to spend tonight with you." She said and before I could react,she crushed her lips on mine.
The door opened as I pushed her off and yes the devil decided to send Ash in at that moment Celine had her lips on mine.
Ash turned away.
"Bloody hell." I muttered as I pushed Celine farther away from me and she fell to the ground.
"Ash, wait!" I said going after her. She ran swiftly into her room and when I got to the door,she had locked it from within.
I let Steel take control as his sharp claws sprouted and broke through the door. I kicked the door aside and found her standing in the middle of the room with tears dropping down her cheek.
"What do you want? Why don't you go finish what you've started." She said to me in anger and hurt.
"I promise you it's not what you think." I said going closer to her.
"Do not come an inch closer to me. Do not!" She warned.
"She was trying to trick me, Ash!" I said to her.
"And you bloody hell fell for it!" She yelled at me tears streaming down her cheeks.
"I did not! I do not know how she got so close but I had no intent of laying with her!" I yelled to her advancing towards her.
"I said do not come closer to me." She said to me.
"And you know too well I do not take orders. I give them." I said to her.
"You'll take this one Lucifer. You will. Stay the hell away from me." She said walking past me and I pulled her back. She clenched her hands into tight fists and began hitting my chest hard. I held her close to me not minding her onslaught.
"Let go of me, Lucifer. Let go of me!" She demanded as she kept pummeling her fists on my chest.
"I will not." I said to her. She fell on my chest and broke into sobs. I held her tightly to myself feeling my throat burning. She made me feel so vulnerable in her arms.
