Chapter Ten

Jack:

Sheer fear and panic rushed over me when I realized not only is Mei in danger, but the boys. Brutus and Goki growled deeply at the thought of the boys being in danger.

“Should we cancel tomorrow?” Eli asked as he slid down into the brown leather chair, dropping his head back.

“No. We continue with meeting King Hilo. I need to know about Jonah. The Coronation stays as scheduled. I will be DAMNED if anyone thinks they can attack my family.” I shouted as I paced slowly behind my desk, looking out at the bayou weep in silence.

“Jack it’s not just the boys in danger. The voice clearly talked about you and Mei, using the boys to get what they want.” Lexi hissed as he grabbed the Bourbon pouring a double. Downing the bitch down in one gulp, quickly pouring another.

“I will not hide, just like Mei said. I would rather die to protect my boys and Wife, then have anything happen to them.” I hissed darkly as the anger roared violently in my stomach.

“Your boys need their parents. We will do everything possible to make sure no one dies.” Desmond hissed as he grabbed the Bourbon from Lexi pouring drinks for everyone.

“The Watchmen are staying in the guest room across from the boys.” Dominic huffed as he walked in gaining low growling from everyone.

“Easy killers. I come in peace.” Dominic laughed as he grabbed a Bourbon from his dad.

“How did your meet and greet go?” Max laughed as he looked over his shoulder at Dominic with a coy smirk.

“About that, we have a problem.” Dominic laughed darkly as he pinched his nose downing his Bourbon motioning to Max for the bottle.

“What is worse than someone out to kill my family?” I hissed lowly as Dominic sunk down in his chair, pouring his next Bourbon.

“Guess who I saw meeting privately with Mr. Whitefang, our new friend Jonah.” Dominic dropped his head back side glancing at me with an evil expression.

Brutus and Goki growling darkly.

“Really. Did you get a chance to listen?” I asked darkly as I leaned against the wall crossing my arms.

Closing my eyes trying to subdue the anger boiling in the darkness.

“No, but I figured out why I couldn’t get Star out of my head. Jonah used a fucked-up Fairy spell.” Dominic laughed darkly as I listened to the wind tap silently against the windows behind my head as a cloudy haze took over my thoughts.

“YOU FUCKING BITCH!!” A dark voice echoed as a loud smacking noise echoed in the hazy cloud.

“I tried I really did, but they are stronger than you think.” A female’s voice cried softly as dark laughter erupted over the cries.

“You are no better than your whore mother, at least she knew how to suck dick right.” The dark voiced hissed as another loud hollow smack sounded.

“Please let me try again?” The female begged with fear hitched in her voice.

A deep guttural laugh rang loudly as loud screaming cries echoed through the haze.

“NO. Please no.” The female cried as loud ripping noises, echoed darkly in the haze.

More crying as loud whipping snapped sharply against the hazy cloud.

“This will make you think twice before failing me again.” The dark voice boomed as loud cracking of a whip sharply snapped my eyes open.

The guys stood staring at me as I had ripped my t-shirt off, visible claws marks etched my skin with faint crimson stains.

“What the fuck just happened?” Eli asked looking at my disheveled appearance.

“The same thing that Mei experienced, but this time it was the dark voice male with a female scared, crying and being tortured for failing at getting to someone.” I hissed as I sat down in my chair, rubbing my face with my hands.

“The same shit Mei experienced.” Brutus growled while Goki barred his fangs pissed.

“Apparently whoever this dark voiced male is, he is the one behind whatever they are planning.” Desmond hissed as he caught my gaze.

“I am taking the throne and I will cut down what, or whoever wants to try and hurt my family.” I laughed darkly as I leaned forward in my chair.

A knock sounded at the door as Amelia stepped in.

“Alpha can I see you privately.” Amelia linked nodding to outside the door.

I nodded back, standing up to follow Amelia back out into the hallway.

“Everything okay?” I asked with fear laced undertone as I studied Amelia’s expression.

“Yeah. Mei and the boys are okay. I am concerned about this episode and the fact it happened while she was nursing them. Luckily, the boys are strong, they only had minor bumps.” Amelia stated calmly as she leaned against the wall.

The wolves were stirring anxiously.

“What did you want to tell me away from the guys?” I asked as she smiled brightly.

“How long has it been since you and Mei had sex?” Amelia asked with a raised brow smirking.

Brutus and Goki abruptly stopped pacing.

“Twice yesterday before she left with the girls, and at the club. Why?” I replied smirking thinking about Mei bent over on the roof top.

A deep throbbing deep in my core had me stirring.

“Interesting.” Amelia whispered as she placed her finger to her cheek.

Her eyes catching mine with a bright gleam.

“Amelia why are you asking?” I asked looking at her with a stern expression as a smile crept slowly onto her lips.

“SCARY!” Brutus and Goki laughed nervously.

“She’s pregnant.” Amelia laughed darkly as I felt my stomach flip, than flop heavily like a heavy metal bassist.

“Say again?” I asked in shock, not believing it was possible this early, but again we are Lycan’s.

“Yeah. I would say she was equivalent to a week maybe.” Amelia dropped her eyes to the ground, then back up to mine as I stood flopping my mouth open and closed like a fish.

“Who else knows?” I asked as I looked around the hallway curiously.

“Just us three.” Amelia said as she gave me a wink.

At least I am being told about this now, and not later like the twins.

Shit twins!

“Just one Papa.” Amelia laughed as she pointed to her face, indicating my contorted expression.

“Talk about working fast.” I laughed darkly as I looked down the hall towards the nursery.

“She is resting but decide when you are going to announce it. I know a lot is going on right now.” Amelia laughed dryly as she patted my shoulder, walking back down the hallway.

Standing in complete shock as I looked at my office door, pulling my jaw off the ground. Deep breathing before I walked in the office, finding a stampede of crazy lunatics. Brutus and Goki laughing darkly as I crossed my arms, tapping my foot like a scolding father.

“Alright how much did you fools hear?” I asked deeply knowing to well they heard it all.

“Working fast Big man.” Max laughed darkly as Seth punched his arm, snapping his teeth at him.

“I guess what… three times if I heard correctly did the job.” Eli laughed as I threw an empty glass bottle at him playfully. Not really.

“Let Mei make the announcement to the girls. It’s bad enough the boys are a week old, Riley and Milly are expecting, now add Mei back into that equation.” I huffed as I ran my hands through my hair, tugging at it lightly.

“Hey! on the bright side, you are married already and kind of hoping it’s a girl.” Desmond laughed half-assed as he looked at me with a bright smile.

Brutus and Goki purred at the thought of a little girl.

“Alright let us get back to digging into Jonah. Look into Whitefang and his connection to Jonah, or the Fairy realm. We have a Coronation a week out from today, and our get together tomorrow with Hilo.” I exhaled as I slinked back down into my chair, grabbing the whiskey from the desk drawer setting it down harshly.

I watched as the guys saluted me exiting to go dig whatever they could, while I sat in the quiet thinking about the new life growing in Mei.

Brutus and Goki howled proudly.
