Chapter Twenty-four

Max:

Her eyes catching mine and Seth’s as she smiled at us, then she pounced on top of Atlas as she squeezed her throat, snarling loudly in her face.

“I should kill you.” Mei spoke but it was not her.

It was Moon sounding darkly demonic as she snapped her elongated fangs in Atlas’ face.

“Please!! I beg you; I heard the rumors about those places.” Atlas gargled, struggling to breath.

“Maybe you should experience what those places do to shifters.” Moon growled darkly as she pushed up from Atlas, pacing erratically.

“Moon, we understand but she came to undo the enchantment.” I said softly as Moon’s eyes snapped to mine, throwing her head back in the air.

“ENOUGH!!” Moon boomed loudly, causing the cell walls to shake violently like an earthquake rolling through the ground.

Jack walked up to Moon getting her attention, silently talking to her as she snarled, spitting her saliva in a snarky response. Her eyes were black pools of rage, she kept snapping her eyes between us, then stopped at Morgan.

“You knew Mei’s mother.” Moon said pointing to Morgan as she brushed her midnight blue velvet dress out, nodding her head gently.

“Yes, I did. I helped your father get her to safety along with little Lexi.” Morgan replied softly walking over to Mei holding her hand out to her.

Moon hissed as she paced slowly, looking at Atlas frozen in place watching as the wild beast fought hard to restrain herself from hurting anyone. Moon’s eyes darkened as she stalked towards Atlas grabbing a hold of her head with both hands, grinning sinisterly as her fangs flashed from under her lip. We stepped forward but stopped abruptly when Atlas started crying violently, screaming in pain as Mei let go of her head.

“Now you understand my rage.” Moon hissed as she turned swiftly running out the cell with us following close behind.

Her tanned ivory skin flexing, twitching with each stride as she ran for the house. A deep inferno erupting in my core as I watched her curves sway in a seductive dance.

“Max!” Jack shouted as I did not realize I had been running behind Mei as she ran into the house.

“You two follow me.” Jack said as Seth and I followed behind Jack towards his office on the fifth floor.

“What about Atlas?” Seth asked coldly as we reached the fifth floor.

“Morgan took her back to her House to face her punishment.” Jack replied looking over his shoulder at me with a perked brow as we slipped into his office.

A couple of Elites patched the massive hole in the wall that Jack created earlier. The furniture destroyed, removed, and replaced with new Gray Leather sofas, and matching chairs. A large Tiger Oak table now replaced the old Hickory table that sat to the right.

Jack walked around his dark Cherry desk, pulling out the whiskey and three glasses while he motioned to Seth to lock the door. Seth quickly locking the door, turning sharply on his heel as we both slid down into the chairs across from Jack, who had an unreadable expression.

“I am sure you two know why I asked you to speak privately.” Jack stated coyly as he handed us a whiskey, while he stood staring out the large floor to ceiling window overlooking the bayou that was now covered in the vibrant colors of the setting sunset.

“The arousal between us.” Seth said slyly as he took a swig of his whiskey as I stared at Jack’s back muscles flex then relax as he turned around staring at us both.

“Its not the hormones of this pregnancy. I think you two understand where I am coming from.” I said softly as I looked at the amber liquid tease me with its seductive ghost dance against the glass.

“Is it possible for this to happen? I mean we are mated, and you two are mated, and married.” Seth asked downing the last of his whiskey as he leaned forward to pour another.

“Max is part wolf, so the Lycan cannot take control completely, but you gained your Lycan.” Jack said pointing between us as he downed his whiskey, sucking in a sharp breath.

“Brutus and Goki have been going crazy with her spike in arousal, but they want it just as much as she does. So, I am thinking we offer her an option. I want her to be happy, and if this is what she wants then why deny it.” Jack said as he sat down in his chair staring at Seth that kept closing and opening his mouth like a fish.

“I don’t want things to get weird between us.” I said as I felt my insides twist and contract at the mere thought of touching Mei in that way, especially with two other men.

“I know you two respect Mei and me, which makes this even more crazy. I saw images of us together, and the feeling I had was more excitement than jealousy.” Jack said as he leaned forward lacing his fingers together on the desktop.

“Let’s go talk to her, she is in the bedroom right now.” Jack said with a sly smirk as we stood up finishing off our whiskeys.

Normally the silent walk would be welcoming, but I felt all giddy, my stomach swirling violently as Seth laced his fingers into mine giving me a reassuring smile.

“I was always attracted to Mei from the beginning, just her mate call was with Jack.” Seth linked as he gave me that sexy side glance with a half smirk.

“I think that’s why Kyou connected with you in the facility.” Jack replied in link.

“So, I am not stepping on any toes if I said I have loved Mei since the first time I saw her.” I linked nervous Jack would rip my heart out.

“Not at all. Mei is special in every way. I would rather her be safe, comfortable with us than someone else.” Jack replied as he opened the door into his room, smelling Cherry Blossoms, vanilla, and maple.
