Chapter Fourty

Max:

“Its five in the morning. This better be important.” Eli yawned as he strolled in with Lexi and Xander.

“We think we found her location.” I spoke as I kept flipping through history archives, finding different photos of the Castle as it changed over the course in time.

“Gentlemen I present Castle Valia.” Desmond’s bright chipper voice sounded more like nails to a chalk board at the current hungover moment.

“Grab your shit. Basement now.” Lexi commanded as he darted out the door, heading down to the Basement to fire up the main servers.

Another reason why we chose to stay at Demon Wolf. Not only because of our computer master, but the fact we were a very secured territory with the new upgrades Lexi installed after incidents with Victor, Jonah, and fucking magic.

Logan stirred after the thought of magic.

“Morning Sunshine.” I chirped as he huffed in the shadows.

“Fuck off Max.” Logan replied with a growl.

“Is he always so loud?” A dark rumbling voice roared out from the shadows.

“What the fuck?” I shouted as Jack stared at my silent contorted expression.

“The name is Jasper, you buffoon. Your fucking Bear.” Jasper spoke dark with a baritone hitch.

“HOLY SHIT!!” I shouted catching Jack by surprise as he stopped mid-step turning towards me as I smiled like a crazy Cheshire cat.

“Jasper, my Bear.” I replied to Jack’s weird perked brow as we entered the hidden stairwell to the basement.

“Well, shit!” Jack laughed darkly as we entered the temperature-controlled room, finding every available monitor flashing different images of Castle Valia as Desmond pointed to one.

“This place was a fortress in its prime, but over the years the world changed and Castle Valia became obsolete.” Desmond spoke with a tinge of pride mixed with a slight hiss of distaste.

“The family was very prominent in my younger years, then they separated splitting off into different parts of the world. Alexi and Jonah happened to follow in dear mummies legacy as the “Underground Madam” of supernatural sex slaves.” Desmond hissed loudly as we all took in the images of the 3D blueprints that Lexi uploaded.

“That explains the connection between Victor, and Raven.” Jack growled deeply as we replayed images of those places.

Being with Mei mated and married, allowed him to fully experience her past life. A couple of times we had to stop him from going berserk from flash images of Mei being tortured, or her fights. It was even harder for me, because I was right their mixed into all that shit, then worked for number one Fuckhead in the underground.

“Hey! Moron pay attention.” Jasper roared darkly from the shadows.

“What is your deal. You are like a Grumpy Old Man.” I replied as I watched Lexi zoom in on the internal network of sub-tunnels and underground passageways.

“I am tired of sitting in the shadows. I want to get our mate back. NOW!” Jasper roared deeply as my head pounded from the force of his roar.

“Jack, I need to go release some aggression.” I linked him as I spun quickly on my heel heading up to the Clinic were Amelia had the pups.

Jasper stirred nervously as I approached the clinic smelling fresh rain and pine. Amelia smiled brightly as I walked in rubbing my temples from the tension that pushed like a vise.

“How are they doing?” I asked Amelia as I walked over to the new nursery with all the pups.

“We lucked out. Mei pumped enough milk to last for about six months, between the four.” Amelia smiled softly as Jasper huffed deeply.

Akai and Azalea shared the same crib as did Nikola and Micah, we discovered they slept better together then separately. I picked up Akai sitting down in the glider chair to the left as Amelia handed me a fresh round of warm milk.

“Who’s cub is this?” Jasper grumbled as the fresh rain and pine filled my nostrils.

“This is Akai, our son.” I replied as Akai nested into the crook of my arm as I rocked gently, while Amelia handed me Azalea.

“He’s a twin. Azalea is Seth’s daughter, both with Mei.” Jasper roared softly as he plopped down on his hind legs as he took a deep breath, feeling him calm down some.

“Yes, Seth was my wolf mate, but apparently, Mei is our Bear mate.” I spoke calmly as Jasper made this weird rumbling sound against his jowl.

“You feeling calmer now?” I asked silently as Azalea stretched her little body out as Akai followed suit, touching their feet together as they ate slowly.

“A little, but we need our mate. We have to complete our bond as Bear.” Jasper replied as Logan sat next to him, both smiling with toothy grins.

“Understand completely Big Guy.” I replied as they both finished feeding, laying Azalea in my lap, crossed legged as I burped Akai with a loud hiccup as Azalea giggled gently as I switched them out patting her little back.

“I figured I would find you here.” Jack spoke calmly as he entered scooping both boys up, sitting in the glider next to me.

Amelia smiling brightly as she handed over larger bottles for the boys, who were hungry little wolves. Both boys held firmly to their bottles as Jack gently swayed his crossed leg with Nikola, cradled in his lap as he held Micah in his arm.

“Jasper calm down some.” Jack stated with a grin as the four pups cooed to one another.

“Yeah, but he needs to complete his bond with Mei as a Bear.” I replied as I watched the boys’ eyes glow bright blue as the little stuffed wolves floated from the shelf.

“Telekinesis?” Jasper whispered as we watched the little wolves sit gently down in our laps.

“Yeah. Not sure if Akai and Azalea have powers yet, but it does not matter. We are a family.” I replied as we changed the pups.

Jack cursing under his breath at Micah for pissing on him as he was just about to get the clean diaper on him. Jasper and Logan roared in laughter as Nikola and Micah giggled.

“Guys!! Hilo is here.” Xander spoke with a perk as Amelia gave him a deep kiss as we laid the pups back in their cribs.

“You could have linked.” I said as I wiped the milky spit up from my arm and chest.

“Actually, no we can’t. This room is protected by barriers. The Watchmen, along with Morgan and Atlas, fortified this room, so no one can slip in unannounced.” Amelia spoke as she cooed at the pups, rubbing their stomach’s with large giggly smiles.

Xander kissed Amelia before we slipped out of the clinic, down to the Conference room. Hilo was standing looking out the large floor to-ceiling window of the bayou swaying gently against the incoming storm winds.

“Hilo, glad you are here. What do we have?” Jack asked as he shook Hilo’s hand as I received a solid pat to the shoulder.

“My troops are armed and ready as we speak. Morgan is gathering her top ranked members, along with Samuel and his small Bear clan.” Hilo stated as he laid down the Geographical map, showing how the Mountain castle nested into the side of Fairy Mountain.

“One problem. It is early Autumn in the realm, so our tree coverage approach will be limited. If we had a decent storm, or heavy fog, it would help cover our approach. Morgan is going to aid in covering our presence.” Hilo stated as he pointed to two paths leading into the castle grounds.

“Not a problem.” Lexi laughed darkly as him and Eli entered with large shit eating grins.

“What do you mean?” Hilo asked with a curious brow, side glancing at Jack and I smiling evilly.

“Easy. I can control the weather, Eli controls water, and Jack can manipulate the ground.” Lexi spoke leaning against the table pointing to the mountain.

“They will be expecting a frontal attack, so we come in from above.” Lexi pointed to the Mountain top.

“Free Base Jumping.” I replied snickering at the thought.

“Oh, Hell! Every time.” Eli threw his hands in the air as he rolled his eyes.

“What is he talking about?” Hilo asked with a perked brow.

“We “Halo Jumped” into Siberia when Victor kidnapped Mei.” Jack laughed darkly as Hilo’s eye twinkled in delight.

“Bunch of Lunatics! I love it.” Jasper laughed darkly as Logan howled laughing.

“Perfect! We can have Desmond “poof” us to this point, so you boys can gear up and do whatever you need to do. Give us the signal and we attack.” Hilo laughed darkly as we all turned exiting the conference room.

Jack, Eli, Lexi, and I stopped at the Clinic giving the pups kisses before we departed for our next Grand Adventure.

“Never a Dull moment in the Demon Wolf.” Amelia shouted as we walked down the hallway, throwing our hands up in a wave.

We all split up gathering the necessary equipment needed for our Free Base Jump and breaching. Jack caught my sight as he opened the safe in the office, pulling out the Black Lacquered box holding Mei’s “Babies” as she calls them. I smiled as he slipped it into the large duffle sack on the table.

“We finish this.” Jack stated as he gripped my fist in his, pulling us into a tight hug.

We loaded up our gear, dressing for war as we walked down the long hallway to the Grand Ballroom, where we were staging to portal over to the Fairy Realm. Derek and Damian sent over every available hand they had to make sure the house was protected.

We gave everyone one final look over, nodding steading our breaths as Hilo and Ella created a portal. Once the equipment was through, we took our last look around stepping through.
