Chapter Nine

Mei:

Totally excited! ATV’s and dirt bikes tomorrow, then Max is setting it up for his Tattoo artist friend Atlas to come do our tattoos. Silently squealing as I helped the girls carry the dozens of bags up to their rooms.

So excited! Nikola and Micah will have a cousin plus a friend all close in age. I felt kind of bad leaving Jack in the dining room with the rest of the guys nursing their hang overs.

“Bunch of Pussies.” Moon and Kyou laughed as fresh rain and honeysuckle hit my nose, squealing softly as I snuck into the twin’s nursery.

Both boys were awake cooing, babbling in their own language as I crept in to see their cute little faces. They both have the brightest blue eyes with little flecks of green against their naturally tan skin. Their eyes changed shortly after we got home from Siberia.

Frozen in place as I watched the painted wooden blocks float from the shelf, landing softly on the soft white shag rug.

“Jack?” I linked in shock.

“Yeah baby.” He replied sounding a little more alive than earlier.

“Do you mind explaining the floating blocks to me.” I replied walking over to the boys laughing cutely, cooing away as I looked between the two of them with their glowing blue eyes.

“Shit! Yeah the Watchmen said some things happened last night.” He replied sounding curiously happy.

“Telekinesis.” Moon and Kyou laughed as I stood between the boys’ mouth agape as I watched the little stuffed wolves float from their cribs, then sat gently down at my feet.

“Exactly when were you going to fill me in.” I replied as I tickled their little stomachs getting loud giggling squeals.

“Trust me, I was not keeping this from you. I was going to tell you.” He replied as I picked both boys up, cradling them against my chest as I sat down in the dark gray oversized chair positioned by the double-French doors.

Watching as they both hungrily latched on, feeling the aching pressure release as they filled their little stomachs. A white blur barreled through the door as it came to a skidding stop at my feet.

“Theos what are doing?” I asked him as his little tail wagged vigorously against the hand scrapped hardwood flooring.

A little growling whoof erupted from his body as he curled gently against my foot as I sat quietly in the chair with the boys. Resting my head against the pillowed back of the chair listening to the bird’s chirp, while the crickets chirped softly against the mild afternoon bayou breeze.

“The Lycan Royals will not live long enough to see their kingdom.” A deep male voice echoed against the white haze.

“How do we plan on taking them out for good. Victor failed, so what is to say we do too?” Another males voice responded as the white haze shifted into a dark cloud of smoke.

“My good man it is simple. The twins. We get them then the Royals will do whatever we ask, even if it means their deaths.” The dark male voice laughed sinisterly as the second male followed in laughter.

“How do you plan on getting the twins. Desmond is awfully close to the “Dirty Dogs” and I am sure they have barriers in place.” The second male asked with a hint of malice in his voice.

“Not Desmond. Queen Izzy is that whores’ last living relative, along with her mutt brother Lexi.” The dark voice hissed as a loud scream echoed through the cloud of smoke.

“Aww, yes the brother Lexi, shame Raven killed Astro before we could ger our hands on him.” The second voice laughed darkly.

Another crying scream echoed loudly as the smoky cloud disappeared.

Snapping my eyes open looking at the ceiling of the bayou sky, hearing loud crying screams as Theos whimpered at my side nudging my side.

Oh, Goddess the twins!

Looking quickly to the direction of the screaming cries, finding Nikola and Micah laying on the floor at my side. Quickly scooping them both up, rocking back and forth as violent tears streamed down my cheeks. A loud roaring howl erupted from my chest as I scooted into the corner protecting my pups.

Those voices echoing in my head.

“MEI!!” JR shouted as he slid to a stop in the doorway with Eli right behind him. Both running over to me as JR scooped the boys and me into his chest, stroking my hair as tears violently dripped onto the boys.

“Baby tell me what’s wrong?” JR asked panicked as he cupped my face stroking my tear streaked cheeks.

“Danger.” I managed to whisper out between the tears as I held tightly to the boys checking them for any injuries.

Did I fall? Did I drop them?

OH, Goddess! The tears came harder as Eli took the boys from my arms as JR pulled me into his chest rocking me gently to calm me down.

“Eli, call everyone NOW!” JR boomed sternly trying to not scare the boys further.

“Mei Baby. Tell me what you saw?” JR said as he turned my face to him scanning me with his bright Golden eyes.

I shook my head gently.

“Not saw, heard.” I said as I took deep breaths, trying to calm myself from the fear that gripped my chest in a tight vise.

“WHATS WRONG?” Lexi shouted as him and Milly rushed into the room, stopping abruptly seeing JR holding my visibly shaking body as tears fell silently against my cheeks.

Holding my hand out to Lexi as he dropped down in front of me and JR.

“JR open the link with everyone, they need to hear what I heard.” I said hoarsely as him and Eli nodded, while Milly settled the boys down.

Holding tightly to JR as Lexi placed his hand in mine as my body shook violently with anger, and fear. Taking a deep breath as I opened my link replaying the dream like cloudy haze. Hearing those voices again sent me into another violent episode of tears, stronger shaking as JR’s body tensed shaking underneath me as Lexi fought to maintain control.

Loud growling, roaring howls shook the house walls as windows shattered down the hallway. Milly gasped loudly as she dropped to her knees with her hands still on the boy’s stomach’s.

“Lock this place down. No one enters or leaves without permission.” JR shouted as him and Lexi stared at me with concerned expressions.

“We need to think about getting them somewhere safe.” Eli said as he crouched down stroking my hair gently.

“No. I don’t run. I will not hide.” I whispered shouted as JR gripped me tightly to his chest, low grumbling growling as our bodies shook against one another.

“Mei, we cannot risk the boys.” Lexi said as he pulled Milly into his lap, kissing her forehead gently as she cried looking at me.

“We do this our way. We meet with King Hilo tomorrow, have a little fun while we find out more information. The Watchmen already have a barrier in place, so as long as they are around, the boys are protected from outside energy sources.” I said as I watched the guys’ faces contort in disgust.

Low growling and hisses filled the dense atmosphere.

“Fuck! Can we at least have peace.” Max exhaled as he walked in with Seth carrying bottle water and pain killers.

“Izzy! Where is Izzy?” I shouted as Max and Seth handed me the water and painkillers.

Snapping my eyes between the four.

“They left shortly after you came upstairs.” Eli huffed as he rubbed his temples gently, looking at me from his crouching position.

My stomach swirled violently as I jumped up, running out onto the terrace throwing up everything in my stomach. Dry heaving violently as JR caught me before I collapsed to the terrace floor.

“You need to stay calm.” JR said as he scooped my shaking body up, carrying me out of the nursery into our room.

Laying me down gently in bed, propping my body up with pillows as Eli grabbed a bottle of water and a cold washcloth.

“Xander and Amelia are on their way back from Damian’s.” Eli said as he sat at the foot of the bed smiling gently at me.

“Why did they go to Damian’s?” I asked as I dropped my head back against the mountain of pillows, feeling my stomach swirl violently fighting to desperately keep my stomach inside my body.

“They went to pick up the rest of the ATV’s for tomorrow.” JR said as he laid the cold washcloth against my bright red chest, feeling my body shake against the coolness.

“MEI!!” Izzy shouted as her and Desmond “poofed” by the door, causing my swirling stomach to jump to my throat. Jumping over JR, rushing into the bathroom before I lost all control over my stomach.

Moon and Kyou stirred quietly as I gripped the toilet, feeling my insides twist and knot from dry heaving violently.

“Mei baby.” JR softly whispered as he helped me up, brushing my teeth and rinsing my mouth out.

Slowly gaining control over my shaking body as JR walked me back out to the bedroom. Milly grabbed my arm guiding me to bed as the guys huddled together silently talking.

“You guys go figure out what you are doing, the girls and me got this covered.” Izzy said as Riley walked in with Theos at her heel with a tray of hot tea and crackers.

Moon and Kyou stayed in the shadows, growling lowly as Izzy handed me a mug of Hot honey tea and a few crackers. JR gave me a kiss rubbing my cheek gently as he turned to the guy’s heading out of the room. Enjoying the heat of the tea as it coated my throat from vomiting violently. Silently sitting with the girls as I closed my eyes feeling the shaking subside.

Theos nestled into my side as the sleepy haze crept over my body.
