Chapter 17 - Understanding Her
Sebastian Grey
I smirked when I found my wife's car entering the mansion. Her chauffer stopped the car and she got out from the car completely pissed.
"Welcome home, wife." I said and Isabelle rolled her eyes.
"Our flight is in 4 hours, you better pack up." I said and she just walked pass by me giving me the meanest expression she has. Once she's inside, I can't help but to laugh. I sat on the sofa right across her.
I walked in and she put her phone on the table and plopped her body to the sofa. "I hate you." She said as she closed her eyes.
"Who was your trip? Was it fun?"
"You're such an asshole."
"What? I'm an asshole? How come you went on a trip with another man and didn't even bother to tell your husband?" I asked and that made her open her eyes.
"You! You were-" She glared at me.
"What? I was what?" I asked.
"I'm tired, I'm not going today. Let's go tomorrow." She said as she closed her eyes again.
"Why? Because you're busy? I could help you."
"I hate you." She hissed and I laughed.
"Good for you that we're actually going tomorrow." I said and she sighed. I got up from the sofa planning to go upstairs.
"Just do your work first and then we can go."
"I'm not busy anymore." I said.
"I know you're busy with that blonde girl, feel free to spend time with her. I'm giving you what you want. I'm tired, you really make me go back when I just touched Santorini." I sighed.
"How do you know about Candice?" I asked.
"People talk, Grey." I usually don't mind being called Grey but coming from her, I don't really like it. She always called me Sebastian, her calling me Grey made me feel weird.
"I'm trying to.. help you here but you made me comeback here for nothing." She sighed.
"Did I ask you to help me? I told you that I'm busy because of work, you thought I'm busy with Candice?" I was not having it.
"You should be thanking me, I'm giving you a favor."
"Did I ask you to do so?" I asked and she opened her eyes again.
"No." She said as she sat straight.
"That's what I thought, I told I'm busy because there's a problem with the packages that arrived in Japan. I have to take care of that first before going with you."
"You were mad at me yesterday.. I mean two days ago for saying no. I was half sober and half drunk." She said as she crossed her arms.
"Isabelle, next time.. you need to talk to me. You really need to stop going away when something goes wrong." I said raising my voice a little bit. I looked at her and she looked down to the ground.
"Okay." She said.
"Get some rest, we're going tomorrow morning." I said.
"You can finish your work first, let's just go in the end of the month." She said.
"Okay then." I walked upstairs slowly and found Isabelle hugged her legs. I could see her body is shaking. Her phone rang and I could see Elijah's name on the screen.
I walked downstairs and kneeled in front of her as I flipped her phone. She took a peak and she immediately wiped her tears.
"Something got into my eyes." She said and I chuckled.
"We're going in two days, how's that?" I asked and she nodded. I wiped a drop of tear that fall down.
"I want you to be ready before 7. We're going to Dubai for a week and then to Maldives for a week."
"We can go to Dubai for a week and go home. You have a lot of work." She said and I shook my head.
"I want to, you don't need to worry about my work."
"Okay." I caressed her head and got up. I helped her get up and led her upstairs. I opened the door to her room and gestured to go in.
"Get some sleep, I'll ask the chef to prepare you lunch."
"Okay." She said and walked inside. I closed the door and I could hear her phone vibrating. I smirked and walked into my own room.
Isabelle Orsino
"Please don't kill each other." Thalia said when she saw me and Sebastian sitting side by side.
"We won't." Sebastian said and I just wanted to go home because all the stare from people. People knew that our family never get along so they think we will kill each other.
"Who arranged the seats?" I hissed.
"I feel offended." Sebastian said and I turned to him disbelief.
"Sebastian, hi." Candice showed up and Sebastian rolled his eyes. He gestured the security to get rid of her.
"Rude." I commented.
"So what should I do? Tell her that she's interrupting me and my wife?" He whispered and I glared at him.
"Mr. Grey and Ms. Orsino, your seats have been moved. Please follow me." One of the staff said. We both looked at each other and he ended up following the staff. I followed him and I stopped when I saw they moved us with our families.
"You really make everyone worried that we're going to kill each other." Sebastian said to his granddad.
"This is not a great idea." I whispered as I sat down beside him. The event started and my phone vibrated. I took it out from my bag and saw Elijah's name on the screen.
I felt bad for ignoring his call since yesterday, I was going to get up to pick up the call but Sebastian stopped me by holding on to my wrist.
"Darling, we're in the middle of an event." He said loud enough to be heard by my ears.
"But.."
"You better sit down or you won't like it what I'm going to do." I raised my eyebrows and tried to pull my hand away from him.
"Sebastian, let me go!" I hissed and he pulled me until I sat on his lap causing some people around us to gasp.
"I hate you."
"I think I made it clear earlier."
