Chapter 34 - His Side

As soon as I arrived at the office, Cole led me to pop's office. I'm pretty nervous because I don't know exactly why both families like this. Cole knocked the door then he opened the door for me.

"Pops." I called him and he turned to me. He gestured me to sit down because he's still calling someone. I sat down on the sofa and I checked the time, it's almost 4.30. Can't believe we're fighting at dawn too.

"I'll call you back, let me talk to Sebastian first. Okay." He ended the call.

"It was Billy, apparently Isabelle just arrived too at the office. He's going to check on her." Pops said as he walked towards me.

"What happened? I can't believe I have to leave my honeymoon before my parents and my in-laws are fighting." I hissed and pops sighed.

"I thought we agreed not to tell you and Isabelle but how did you know?" He asked as he sat down in front of me.

"Elijah Rixton, he called Isabelle. Can you just tell me what happened? I'm pretty clueless here." I said as I leaned back to the sofa.

"Well.. a year ago, Isaac happened to take some of our clients making our company lost about 5 million dollars and that made your dad pretty pissed. He hired a couple of employees to work there and took some of Orsino's secret files." Oh boy.

"And then?"

"They discovered your prenup agreement with Isabelle and I can say that your parents are so proud of you for making her write 10 million dollars on that paper." Not that 10 million dollars.

"Pretty sure that they will make you divorce Isabele for that 10 million dollars." He added and I closed my eyes because this is just too much.

"I'm not going to divorce her." I said firmly.

"I know but it won't be easy for the both of you. There will be a lot of trust issues because.. you kinda signed a couple of documents related to some of the deals related to the Orsino." What?

"What do you mean? I never signed any of that documents. Why would I attack my wife's company? I'm not my dad." I hissed angrily because it doesn't make any sense.

"Your dad kinda trap you for that, Cole was trapped too. He felt sorry and he even gave me his resignation letter last night." God, what did my dad do?

"When will they stop fighting? This is childish!" I hissed.

"Well ask them because I don't know, I have no idea why."

"I have to talk to him." I got up from the sofa and made my way out from pops' office. I walked towards my dad's office but one of the employees told me that he's in the meeting room.

I went down and bursted into the meeting room making all the people in there turn to me. I was not happy with the situation and wanted to take over the company as soon as possible. My dad is too childish when it comes to dealing with the Orsinos.

"Dad, I want to have a word with you." I said and my dad was not happy to see me bursting into his meeting like this. My mom shook her head gesturing me to wait but I can't.

"Do you want me to speak here? Cause I don't mind." I said and my dad told everyone to wait. He followed me out and we both walked into an empty meeting room right across.

"This better be good." He said as I closed the door.

"Oh! Before you say anything, I just want to say that I'm so proud of you for making Isabelle write 10 million dollars on that prenup agreement." He said as he patted my shoulder.

"Dad, you're really childish." I hissed.

"What? Isaac took 5 million dollars from me last year, divorce Isabelle because we deserve to get that 10 million." He said as he sat down.

"Dad, this needs to stop. We need to stop all of this." I hissed.

"You don't know anything, my boy. I suggest you to just sit back and divorce Isabelle." He smirked and I looked at him disbelief.

"I want to take over this company, you're already old and too childish to run this multi billion company." I said and I walked out from the meeting room. I entered the other one and grabbed everyone's attention.

"Ladies and gentleman. From now on, I will be the one who take over this company." I announced and my mom sighed.

"Nonsense!" My dad bursted the door open.

"Silence!" We both turned to see pops entering the room, he's angry and he gestured me to get out of the room.

"Pops.." I hissed and he walked towards me.

"I suggest you to get out and talk to Isabelle. She needs you for you.." Pops whispered. I walked out from the meeting room and Cole was already waiting for me in my office.

"I want you to give me all the files that led to Orsino, I want to check it." I said to Cole as he closed the door.

"Yes, Mr.Grey."

"Buy two sets of breakfast set, my wife will come here." I told him and Cole excused himself out. I walked back and forth near the glass window completely confused with the situation.

I can't believe that my parents want me to divorce Isabelle just to get that 10 million dollars. I still don't know the reason why she decided to give me that ampunt if we end up in a divorce.

I grabbed my phone from my pocket and dialed Isabelle's number.

"Hello." She picked up.

"Babe, I think we need to talk.. a long one."

"Okay, we really do need to talk. Where should we meet?" She asked and I can tell from her voice that she's tired.

"Come to my office, we really need to settle a lot of things."

"Okay, I'll be there in 20." She ended the call and I sat down on my seat. I closed my eyes and leaned my body back.
