Chapter 24 - Her Husband

Since Sebastian is still sleeping, I decided to go to the beach again at dawn. I want to see the sunrise and to enjoy my time alone. I sat down on the sand with my phone ready to capture the beautiful view.

"I knew you would be here somehow." I turned to see Andre and he sat down beside me.

"You're the only person who knows what I love the most." We both chuckled.

"You still have 22 minutes before the sun rises."

"Thank you for the information, Mr. Conrad." I turned to him and Andre smiled widely bedore turning his attention to the sea.

"Your friend, he hates sunrise huh?"

"He doesn't hate or love things like this." I said because of what he said yesterday.

"I actually looked him up online, you both are rivals."

"And?" I asked as I put my hands on the sand to support my body.

"I'm just confused why you both are here together. I saw an article that you both are not capable to be in one room."

"We hate each other but sometimes we had no other choice but to be civil." I said half lying half not.

"How are you, Isabelle? It's been 8 years."

"Well.. I'm doing great actually. How about you?" I turned to him for a split second.

"Well, I'm doing okay. Not saying it's great because the person who I want to be with the most, didn't want to be here."

"You know I have my own reasons right?"

"I know. I'm not blaming you but I'm just blaming fate."

"Everything happens for a reason, Andre. We all have our own path." I said and Andre caressed my head.

"You're right." I said and my phone rang showing Sebastian's name on the screen. I picked the call and put the phone to my ear.

"Hello."

"Where are you?" Sebastian asked and I could still hear his husky voice.

"At the beach. Why?"

"Oh, it's so early. Why didn't you wake me up?" I chuckled.

"Watching the sunrise."

"3 minutes left." Andre said and I turned to him nodding.

"Ah.. you're with the ex-fiance? I thought you moved on." He said in a cold tone and I think he slept on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

"Talk to you later." I said ended the call to take a picture of the sunrise. I got up and I can't help to smile widely seeing the sun slowly rising up. I took a lot of pictures and video because why not?

"It's beautiful. I always see this everyday but today the sunrise is more beautiful than usual." He said and I nodded.

"How long will you be here?" Andre asked.

"A week."

"When will you be free?" I put my phone back in my bag and turned to Andre.

"Mrs. Grey, your husband is waiting for you." We both turned around to see a staff from the hotel waiting for me. He even pointed out the cart behind him with Sebastian on it. He was looking at me, not happy at all.

"Husband? You're married to him?" Andre asked and I sighed.

Why is Sebastian revealing himself again?

"It's a long story." I sighed.

"Mrs. Grey, please. Your husband is not happy." The staff said and I nodded.

"I have to go, good to see you, Andre." I hugged him and Andre patted my back. "Good to see you too, hope you have a great trip with your husband." Andre smiled and he kissed the top of my head. I walked with the staff towards the cart.

"Husband?" I hissed when I got on the cart.

"I only told him to get you, he was the one who say that." Sebastian pointed at the staff who called me.

"What an excuse.."

"Let's go back to the hotel." Sebastian said.

Sebastian Grey

Isabelle is currently getting ready after taking another 2 hours of sleep and I decided to get myself a coffee. I told her that I will go downstairs and she asked me to buy her a latte.

"Iced americano and iced latte to take away please." I said as I gave the cashier my card. After finishing the transaction, he told me to wait so I decided to sit down on one of the chairs. I looked out the window and guess who's sitting near the window?

"Do you mind?" I asked and he gestured me to sit.

"Where's Isabelle?" Andre asked.

"She's getting ready." I said and Andre nodded. He closed his laptop to give me his full attention.

"Why exactly she introduced you to me as her friend? I don't know if this is a joke or not."

"I asked her not to tell anyone that I'm her husband, as you know.. we're rivals." I said in an arrogant tone.

"Mr. Grey, your order." I turned to the staff and thanked her.

"She's not happy." Andre said after the staff left.

"She's happy, she's marrying the man that she picked." I said confidently.

"She made a wrong choice."

"Why do you care? You're only her ex-fiance, you don't have the rights to say that when you don't know anything." I said as I looked at him coldly.

"You don't even care about her, you don't know what she likes.. what she doesn't like.. you know nothing." He said and my phone rang. I took it out from my pocket and it's Isabelle.

"Hello."

"Where are you?"

"Coffee shop at the lobby." I said.

"I'm going down now."

"Okay." I said and I got up from my seat.

"You should check yourself first, she broke up with you and chose me to be her husband. That tells something, don't you think?" I smirked as I grabbed our coffee.

"I hope I won't see you again." I said and walked out from the coffee shop. I saw Isabelle walking out from the lift and walked towards her. She smiled and I gave her the coffee.

"Ready?" I asked.

"So ready, let's go!"
