Chapter 20 - The Talk

Sebastian Grey

I came home really late after going to the police station reporting Gio for all his crimes. I told the police that I married to Isabelle, they found it hard to believe at first but after checking on the database, they believed me.

Cole helped me a lot with all the press and made sure that no one make this as a headline on their website or on social media. We want to keep it private as possible because I don't want Isabelle to be scared of people judging her and just preventing her from remembering the trauma.

I took a really deep breath before walking into the house. I'm surprised to see the lights still on and found Isabelle sleeping on the sofa. I thought she would be staying at her parents house but I'm glad that she's here.

I walked towards her and kneeled in front of her. She's sleeping soundly, she must have been so tired.

My phone vibrated and it's Elijah. I walked out to the pool area to pick it up.

"Hello."

"I want to talk to you, I'm in front of your mansion." He said and I looked at my watch. It's almost 10.30 pm, yet he's still want to talk to me.

"We can do it through here." I said as I walked back in to check the CCTV. Elijah is really standing in front of my gate.

"I want to talk to you face to face." He said and I ended the call. I made my way out from my house and opened the gate. He drove his car in and parked right in front of my car. He got out and I walked towards him.

"I want to ask you something." Elijah asked.

"I'm listening." I said as I put my hands into my pockets.

"Why did you sue Gio?"

"Well.. what do you think?" I raised my right eyebrows and Elijah looked at me completely pissed.

"I asked you first, just answer the damn question."

"Why not sue him? He did something wrong." I said like it's nothing. "I'm not you, I'm not the type who just stand still on the side watching everything goes down in front of my eyes." I said in a cold tone.

"What do you want from her? I know you want something in return."

"Why do you assume that I want something?" I asked.

"You're Sebastian Grey, you and Isabelle are rivals. You're doing this because you want something in return. Tell me, I would gladly give it to you so leave Isabelle alone." He's indeed so in love with her.

"I think you should leave." I said because he's starting to get annoying.

"I want you to pass the case to me, I will take care of everything." He said and I let out a sarcastic laugh.

"Why should I? Who are you to her?"

"I'm her best friend, I'll take care of everything. I will put him into jail for the rest of his life." Elijah said as he looked at me completely pissed.

"Best friend? Too bad that I'm her husband." I said smirking and Elijah looked like he's going to kill me any second.

"What?"

"You heard me." I said and Elijah let out a loud laugh.

"You're crazy!" He said as he kept laughing.

"Suit yourself." I said and suddenly I heard the door behind me open. I turned to see Isabelle standing there rubbing her eyes.

"Sebastian, why the hell are you laugh-" She stopped when she saw Elijah.

"As her best friend, you should go back to your place." I said only loud enough for him to hear. "I'll be the one who will get justice for my wife, not you."

Isabelle Orsino

I was so stupid. I was more than stupid.

Sebastian said something to Elijah that made his face just turned so mad. Sebastian then made his way back to the house.

"I'll give you 5 minutes to talk to him, make it quick." Sebastian said and then he walked inside closing the door. I walked towards Elijah and he let out a long sigh.

"You're married?"

"Yes, about two weeks ago." I said truthfully.

"Married to Sebastian Grey? How did that even happen?" Elijah looked up to the sky and I know he's still processing the fact that I'm married to my rival.

"Well.. it happened."

"I can't believe that you didn't tell me."

"I'm sorry, we wanted to keep it a secret." I said and Elijah turned to me.

"What do you get from this marriage? Connection? Money? What was the reason?"

"It's a long story and I don't want to talk about it." I said.

"How is it possible? You both hate each other." Elijah asked in frustration. I heard the door open and I looked into his eyes.

"I'll explain it more later but please keep it a secret." I said quickly and I could feel Sebastian holding my wrist pulling me inside.

"You kept breaking the rules.." I hissed as he closed the door locking it.

"I'm a billionaire, a couple hundred thousand dollars won't hurt." He said and he made his way upstairs leaving me completely speechless.

I forgot to ask him about what happened in the police station. I walked upstairs and knocked on the door. Sebastian opened it while he's half naked. I was taken back seeing his muscular body.

"Uhmm.. what.. what happened in the police station?" I asked.

"They asked me a couple of questions, I told them they can ask you after we come home from our honeymoon." Sebastian smirked.

"Oh.. okay." I said as I took a step back.

"We're going to have so much fun in our honeymoon." He said as he took a step forward.

"Yes, I.. hope so." I kept walking back until my back hit the wall. Sebastian trapped me between his arms and he leaned his head closer.

"We should try it." He whispered in my ear.

"Try what?"

"Make love." He said and I looked straight into his eyes.

"I think we should."
